    The big problem here is the cost of government. The political officeholders should take 50٪ pay cuts, scrap the Senate and fight corruption. This government seems to be rewarding corruption.

    • @jahudini
      @jahudini 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They don't even have to scrap the senate, they just need to put the government on a diet, shrink the govt by 40%...cut the excess fat, put NNPC under structural review with independent stake holders, put the Judiciary under review with set standards, put structural stipulation on State and local govt on ways to reach the local masses if they are to continually receive fund from federal...i.e. constitute town halls in every community where deliberations are made on expenditure by members of the community.....the list goes on.

    "THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY WITHOUT PROTEST" by Stephen Joans Harvard University. Auwal thank you! Tell the reporter that the State and local govt. are not interested in hearing or engaging with what the people have to say. The primary reason for demonstration in a political sphere is due to the fact that they, the government is not willing to listen or communicate. Are the leaders living in space are they not living right there with us seeing what is going on?

      This are purely rhetorical questions. Education is not cheap. U guys love to quickly compare America to Nigeria. Apart from community colleges . Average student debt for a 4 yrs degree programs is about $45k. The problems is most of the folks coming on social media are living in denials. There has never been a magic wand to fix a nation problems. Also it's very deceptive to say the protest have no leaders. With no leaders. U are calling for a free for all protest and the outcome won't be great.

      @@okeoja4447 Why are you playing ignorant with the truth? Nobody in the US is happy with the cost of Education presently, Do you know the debt thae average US citizen is carrying edu wise. There is presently discussion going on about the cost of Education in the US. Did Biden not try to erase school debt? Stake holders in States and private Universities in the US are driving cost up, period. Room and board is most of the cost in US Universities while enrollment have continually dropped. Don't u see the problem with that economics. There is no reason why Education should be ever out of the reach of the common citizens.

      @@jahudini U have just waisted your data displaying your poor comprehenssion of issues here. Did all this your beer parlor commnets take away the fact I raised in my earlier comments? Thank u for acknowledging that EDUCATION IS NOT FREE IN THE US. While it's true that Biden administration is trying to use executive action to help some students with loans forgiveness. Haven't u seen how Republicans are mounting heavy opposition to this policy? Why is Biden using executive action instead of sending this bills to the congress for passing into law? Can u tell me? Didn't the SCOTUS already declared the earlier student loans forgiveness as unconstitutional. ? Would be nice if u do your proper research b4 rushing to make your comments. Lastly , what's so wrong with govt giving out loans to folks who wouldn't otherwise have access to higher education due to lack of funds? In the US. There are different categories of colleges. COMMUNITY COLLEGES ARE FREE and u won't need student loans to get your Associate degrees . But if u chose to go to privately owned or for profit states universities. U wi ll definitely have to get loans. Unless if u receive 100% scholarship or grants. .

      @@okeoja4447”There has never been a magic wand to fix a Nations problems” a phrase we have heard from past governments, yet Nigeria continues to regress. The amount spent on the national assembly is more than the amount budgeted for education. That tells you how much value your government places on education. The America you talk about is light years ahead of you in terms of education, yet you don't think it is wise to subsidise your own education so your poor people can catch up? The truth is Nigerians are not tired yet, when they are, a date for protest would not be announced

    short term goals quick reform of inec, diaspora voting , and electronic transmission of electoral results and inec release of the original election result sheet for public view. quick reform of the judiciary.
    long term goals...a national confab and the resolution thereof would be the working document to form a new constitution.
