But ,in the website , the fee structure for international students is given. If the program is not available for international students, then why the fee structure for international students is given?
Can you attach the link you are looking at? I'm looking at it and they have the Canadian fees listed but not International (it's just blank - because it's not open to International) www.conestogac.on.ca/fulltime/electrical-technician-industrial
Why international students can't apply to this program?
Not all program are available to international students. Programs that are classified as oversubscribed (meaning we have a lot more applicants than we do spaces in the program) are not open to International students because we don't have the spaces available.
@@ThinkConestoga isn't it unfair that despite paying fees that is 4 times higher than local students, best programs are reserved for Canadian students?
@@uveSh88 It really is unfortunate that all students can't get into a program but we have to have caps on the programs so that we aren't graduating more students than there are jobs for.
@@ThinkConestoga appreciate your honest reply. Initially I wanted to apply to this program because it looks more practical- oriented program and also it is one of a very few industrial electrician program in Ontario. But since I can't apply to this one, I applied to electrical engineering technician (Cambridge) on december 12 for September 2021 intake. I still haven't got any reply from college. One more thing I really wanted to ask is that does Conestoga allow student to change their college program in the first month of academic term? I tried reaching to international admissions office but haven't got any response.
@@uveSh88 No problem. The EET program is a great program as well. I know International students are sometimes able to move to a different program but it all depends on if the program that you want to go into is open or not.
