I'm a year late, but this is so refreshing to see and exactly what I was looking for. I got tired of being recommended videos about this and it's just ai bullcrap or them ripping off someone else's work. Thank you 😊 💓
I had no idea you made colouring books a few years ago! I know they aren't your style now but I do think they are lovely still! I'm totally into your new colouring book though! Glad you are offering the colouring pages for us who have to deal with insane shipping costs! ; ; The holo stickers are amazing too! Always love what you are coming out with, Jen!~
Thanks to you, I just finished my first coloring book!! I went with the route of making them myself instead of outsourcing. They are wire bound from the top
Thank you for walking us through your process!! Your work looks so professional. I like how you break down your steps clearly in your videos! I want to make a coloring book one day and it was watch/learn!
You're process was incredibly inspiring to watch! And your room is soo adorable 🥰 Every shot had cute patterns and figures to look at that really resonates with my style to 💖
How did you get this printed on 100 pound paper? It couldn't have been through Amazon KDP right? The bummer with them is how thin the paper is, but they and Ingram Spark seem like my only route to self publish.
I absolutely love what you did here!! This is the cutest coloring book ever made :) And I agree with you the holographic sticker is amazing! I wish I knew how to make one :p
Its was really cool to see the process of creating it, i was wondering if you share a bit more about the publishing process? Like different ways we can get our book publish and abit more about your journey, the book looks amazing! Congrats!
Thank you! This book is currently self published and I used Mixam to print and put it together for me. So for now, my book is only available through my website. I still need to figure out what the process is for getting it published and into stores but I will definitely share that information if and when it happens! 🐻♥
Hi! Just to thank you for sharing all these videos that I ve just encountered. Wish you the happiest career as a self taught illustrator! Hope you will keep continue on youtube, i don't have other social medias so 👋
Aww thank you so much for such a kind comment! I appreciate that very much and makes me so happy to hear that. Thank you for your support and I hope that the rest of my future content continues to be entertaining and helpful 😊😊😊
Hi! I'm a tarot artist who's making a colouring book of the Major Arcana cards in my WIP tarot deck (kinda as a mean to fund the creation of the remaining 50+ cards). I've been looking everywhere at videos, articles, anything I can find where people talk about making their own colouring books (the amount of AI generated, crappy stock clipart colouring books straight for the amazon shop I found as video tutorials was depressing tbh). I'm very glad I found your video, but would you be willing to either make a video about the process of setting up your book in your manufacturer's website or answer a few questions 1-on-1? This is the hardest part of the process and I can't even find a straightforward recommendation for the best manufacturer or printer for colouring books, let alone a tutorial on how to set up your art as a colouring book. That would be so helpful and probably also quite a successful video because there are literally no other creator doing this, I couldn't find a single one. In any case, thanks for hearing me out and I hope you'll agree to give some advice, even if just as me asking questions here and you answering. Thanks again, love from France
This is so awesome!!!👏🏻 the talent and effort 🤩 but how do you insure that the designs don’t look pixelated when printing, especially when moving things around in procreate. Also, on what format do you download the images for best printing quality? And how do you ensure all the drawings have the same little border?
Hi there 🥺 so I want to make and sell my own coloring books soon! I’m trying to do as much research as possible and I have several questions. 1. What company/websites did you use to publish the actual book? 2. Would you recommend selling on Amazon? 3. Is it okay to use ibispaintx to make drawings? I may get Procreate in the future, so do you have a recommended canvas size? If you have any tips at all please let me know! ❤️ I have the ideas all ready on paper I just need to figure out what my next steps should be 🥹 thank you!
Thanks! I used a template provided by my manufacturer to get the dimensions right but for the color profile, I left it as RGB and they had no problem printing!
Such a helpful video. One question, what brush do you use for the final line art? There seems to be a nice smoothing/snapping that I'd love to use too.
Can I know the name of the paper you used to make your book? Aside from the front and back pages, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me. I enjoyed your video and I want to make you one of my inspirations as I also pursue creativity in arts. 💖❤️
I love your coloring book, I will def be purchasing a copy if possible. Where did you send your pages to? I have been researching but cannot seem to find a manufacturer that will do it for me. Did you have to invest a lot at this stage?
Love this! Also what dpi did you use for these line arts? And what file format did you do? PNG? I’m also making illustrations for a coloring book and it’s my first time 😅
Your art is so cute. Amazing how your style had changed. Are you shipping the books letter mail. I always thought letter mail was cheaper for international.
I send smaller sticker or flat orders through letter mail for international orders but I'd like to send larger orders with tracking and they come in rigid mailers which if im not mistaken can't be sent as a letter mail
You totally should! It's up to you and what you're capable of doing. I think about 20 coloring pages is a good minimum. I recommend looking up other coloring books and see how many pages they have and decide what you'd like to do :)
I really want to order it but the shipping cost is just too much outside US😬Amazing work though! ♥I love the fall theme and that it's for markers as well
I know! It's really insane how much international shipping costs. I wish it were more affordable but the digital coloring pages will be available on Friday!🐻♥
It depends on various factors such as the binding, how many pages, the paper weight, etc. So I just get that info some the manufacturer. who will usually provide a template ☺
Hi Jen, I hope you see this. I am a self taught artist and illustrator myself. I have published coloring books that I illustrated but I am finding while using procreate I cannot find the right pen/pencil to use. I want one that is a solid line. No fuzziness at all, no texture, no pixelation nothing. I cannot find it. Even those you use are not completely solid. I am seeing once I upload my illustration in KDP some of the illustrations are coming out uneven, pixelated lines, difference in light and dark lines. And I don’t know why. I have noticed the more detail the worse it is. So how do I stop this? when looking a the review on KDP it. does not show this. Also where did you print your book on your website.
@@SirBubbly33 I’ve used it too. I been looking for a brush for a year and a half. Purchases brushes., created my own and still can’t get that totally smooth finish. Thank you for your reply.
Hi, I’d love to know a good company that prints designs in the uk, I love drawing line art colouring pages too I’ve made around 12 pages so far and love to go on the the next step of printing and making stickers, if anyone can help that’d be great ❤
i love it! i'm leaning more towards print-on-demand because all the shipping and storing is too much for me, but i can see how one could enjoy that part. :) of course, i have nothing out at the moment, still at the very beginning of my artist journey. thanks for the inspiration! 🩵
Print on demand is a great option too! That's how it was with my older books on Amazon 😊 Now since I have more space and my own shop, I'd prefer to ship them out myself. Wishing you the best of luck with your goals!🐻♥
Thank you for not being an “Coloring book using AI” tutorial.
Absolutely! It's quite disheartening to see so many of those videos 🥲
I love that it’s so cute and simple.I have some books that are the same just not Halloween.❤
What manufacturer do you recommend

was wondering what brush you used after sketching? at 5:09
Commenting for a notification when she answers. I was wondering the exact same thing
@@CidneeLeSure there is a new video about the current brush she used, is not the one that showed in this video tho.

Save some money and print it with a printing house

Curious about the final line art brush you’re using? It’s thick and consistent very kawaii.
