General problem with BDO. Yes, you can make good silver doing various things, ONCE you progress to a certain level. Whether it be gathering, cooking, grinding, you don't make much in the beginning. Gathering you need that high Mastery and high gathering level. Grinding, high AP. Cooking, GURU level. I see these videos where a person makes 1+ bil an hour grinding, then realize the grinder is AP 315+ and is one shotting mobs that the average person would take 5+ seconds to take down, and thus would be lucky to make one or two hundred mil an hour unless they get a lucky drop. This sounds like someone who doesn't like the game, and I do love it, I'm just frustrated by it.

Your statement is only true to a very small extent. The game became so casual that even new players progressed much faster. It is no longer even necessary to have hard cap gear to generate tons of silver. There are a lot of low/mid game spots that throw 700m-1b per hour without any problems. centaurs, kratuga, sycraia, hystria just to name a few. (any of the spots is doable with tuvala gear) Furthermore, it would be bad game design if a beginner made as much profit 1-on-1 as someone who has put hundreds or thousands of hours into the game.
If that were the case, it would make absolutely no sense to do any gear or lifeskill progression at all. There is just one spots which is far better then any other in the game and this spot has very high requirements, and there is a risk of dying and losing expensive crystals. (dehkia thornwood) ps now everything is cheaper too.. back then pen boss gear cost 20b and you only got like 200m/h.
Due to the casualization of the game, you can see enough examples of people starting from scratch and making considerable progress within a short period of time.

@@dryzer3511 I don't disagree with anything you've said, but I think you miss my point. All the time you see videos showing how to make billions an hour, which is possible, but only with a certain gear level, and then often the video won't tell you what that gear level is. When you look into the details, these are endgame players. Frequently, the TH-camr doesn't even mention their gear stats, which gives a person the idea that they can go to those zones and make the same amount of money, when they can't, because they don't have the gear to effortless cruise from one group of mobs to the next. Spots might be doable with Tuvala gear, and I've done centaurs, and kratuga with Tuvala gear and with 295 AP gear, but you are NOT going to make the silver/hr that an AP 315 character is going to make.
I'd love it if TH-camrs went to a zone, and downgraded their gear, and presented, hey, this what you can expect with Tuvala gear, with 280 AP gear, 300 AP, 315 AP gear. That would present meaningful information that I could use to make decisions. But then again, maybe not, as I'm told that different classes do better with lesser gear than other classes. But it's always presented, as hey, go here, make billions, it's easy. It's not that easy.
If you can generate a billion silver per hour, every hour, with tuvala gear, then my hats off to you, as I can't come even close.

To be fair you can do around 1bi with 285 AP and around 340 DP on orcs and you could argue that you could reach around the same on kratuga with lower stats (with the right class)

Could you please explain how Red Battlefield works in a beginner's guide? Do the equipment and crystals we are wearing work, or are they assigned separately to each player (as in the case of arenas)? Is it worth using food and potion buffs? Do pet buffs work? I found somewhere that after a certain level you get quite a lot of combatXP for defeating players in PvP mode on Red Battlefield.

Getting any kind of gear for anything past level 60 is so tedious and boring it's hard to find motivation to keep playing this game. After wasting a couple hundred hours grinding for all the new gear they force you to get, it all feels so underwhelming when you actually get it that all I really enjoy now is decorating houses and playing instruments in weird places.
To that end I'm grateful for the video, my manor will be looking somewhat nice within the next 3-4 business days thanks to you.

As a newer player, all that grinding is my biggest fear for getting tired of the game. I want to make just enough to hit a sweet spot for casual play over many classes, but still enough to try to get some pearl outfits from the central market. The diminishing returns for gear upgrades is something I want to avoid.
