Came here after seeing the new Metal Gear gameplay. I could get into metal gear if they had the Gore and Ragdoll effects like RDR2 or The Last of Us. That's the type of "realism" I think would add weight to your action and gameplay. Even the quality AI in RDR2 and TLOU2 is something I don't see much in a lot of games.

I have every difficulty setting on GROUNDED except for resources which allows me to enable cheats, more specifically infinite ammo and unlimited resources, so you can play GROUNDED difficulty with as much ammo as you want, that's exactly what I do in my videos.
You can enable unlimited ammo and resources so that you don't feel bad, and if you want to do that on grounded like I have, put every difficulty setting on grounded except for resources, that way the game allows you to active cheats.
This is what saved this game for me. The story is absolute ass but it plays like a mix between MGS5 and Resident Evil 4. Plus it has the dopest gore effects since Doom Eternal. I hate the story but i just cannot hate the gameplay.
It's a damn shame we never got Factions 2, but Sony wanted to hype up the Last of us online to compete with GTA online but we and literally everyone else just wanted Factions again. We would've been perfectly fine with that.

As bad as the story was, I agree, the gameplay was top notch and a huge step up from the first game!
I ain’t a fan of the story, but I will always stand by Part II’s Gameplay being absolutely fucking amazing. Only a fool would slam the gameplay.

no upgraded weapons needed! practice aim and strategic movement, I rarely use anything upgraded. all you need is the pistol and the rifle xx
