    You could buy the rigid detailing atttachment kit to retrofit your 12gal from Home Depot. It includes the long hose. I have one, works great. Didn't have to buy a new vac.
    FYI, the Vacmaster Beast has a much better rating than the Rigid

    I really enjoyed your video. I am going to purchase this vacuum with extra kit too. Looks like a great machine. I detail on the side , and this looks like a amazing machine.

    I would love an update mini review after using the vac awhile. Also which filter do you use/prefer? And how do you change the filter, and how often do they need to be replaced? Thanks so much! :)

      @mikeatoutlawautospa5590  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Simone! I am still using the original filter after all these months and hundreds of cars. Every few weeks when I empty the vacuum I simply pull the filter off (it slides off its mount with a tug) and bang it on the trash can to “clean” it. It will get all over the place so I wouldn’t recommend doing this at your customers house or near any open doors or windows.

    Great review! I just bought mine brand new last month for $90! If you still have it, hows it still holding up today in 2021?

    How on earth does the long, black, 2 piece attachment that comes with the vacuum, attach to the upgraded hose end? Sorry for the silly question, but I honestly can't figure out how the two connect, different size connector points? Am I overlooking a adapter? Id really like to vacuum my shop floor without hurting my back, tks.

    I just got this vac and also the 6-piece auto detailing hose package. The chisel head is not compatible with the orange hose that comes with the hose package, but I see in your video you are using the chisel with the orange hose, Ridgid says there's no attachment to use the chisel head with the orange hose. How are you doing it?

    • @mikeatoutlawautospa5590
      @mikeatoutlawautospa5590  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah its a shit design and you really have to shove it down there. Over time you stretch out the hose to make work. To make life easier, you can sand down the ring around the bottom of the chisel to it slides into the hose easier. Hope that helps

      @@mikeatoutlawautospa5590 Just purchased this combination from Home Depot yesterday. Can you post a short video with closeup's of the hose/attachments showing how you made the hose modification?

    Did you buy the Ridgid detailing hose kit or just the separate hose?

  • @Jim_Allocco

    Awesome review, thanks for the info on the accessory kit and the better quality hose. Can you tell me what is the knife you used to open the box? I need to grab me one of those, and I don't know anything about knives.

      @mikeatoutlawautospa5590  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jim Allocco much appreciated. My daily carry is the SOG Escape Knife. Solid knife that’s kinda a jack of all trades knife.

    What part # is the orange hose you got? Is it different from the hose that comes with the car detailing kit upgrade?

    • @mikeatoutlawautospa5590

      STREETFIGHTER50 I believe the kit is SKU: 15324608 which is their 10 foot hose kit. Love it

    You detail for a living. What do you do in the winter, unless your somewhere it’s hot all year around. Other then that you can’t make a living on mobile detailing.

    Do you take the filter off when using it in water.

    • @mikeatoutlawautospa5590
      @mikeatoutlawautospa5590  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Martha Sanchez I don’t use it to suck up much water. Ridged recommends removing the filter when using it to suck water but the little water that I have sucked has not damaged the filter. YMMV

    I just purchased the upgrade but attachment too small or it too big

    • @mikeatoutlawautospa5590
      @mikeatoutlawautospa5590  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      William Smith I found that the attachments are eighty too big to fit side the hose end. I simply pushed mine in and over the years it’s just sized perfectly to the attachments

    Dude you vacuum to fast and you are out of breath. You must be dead tired after every detail you do. Get a tripod or a go pro your making me dizzy with all the moving around your doing.
