Thank you Dr. Mellick! I am in love with these videos. As a former ED nurse, who decided to go to med school I feel like EM is the only thing I genuinely feel like I belong with. So unless something major changes, I'll hopefully be an EM resident in the next 2yrs, and these videos REALLY help me.

As a first semester medical student i'm giving you my warmest thanks. These videos are not just helping with ER techniques but also how to communicate with patients and their relatives. Greetings from Izmir/Turkey.

I dislocated my radius and ulna at the elbow when I was 14 (landed on my outstretched left arm doing gymnastics). Lots of pain and some numbness below the injury. They weren't able to manually reset the bones, but I recovered after surgery and many months of therapy. Thank you for all that you do!

and saved dear daughter from anymore ER trauma
(She was only about 6ths first time it happened)...

I think it’s important to share what drugs you use in all cases. It isn’t much help for medical students if you won’t share the info of the drugs you have given. There’s nothing wrong with a doctor prescribing medications in a Legitimate situation. If it’s about being demonitized on TH-cam then I get that. But otherwise, it is not very helpful. I was concerned you gave no meds to this child until I saw your comment. Opioids and ketamine and other drugs legally prescribed for legitimate reasons by a doctor such as you, are NOT bad. It only serves a disservice to us students trying to learn. No hate, love your videos but be transparent. If you can show the patients you can share what meds they are given (with their permission of course)
