I got pulled over by police years ago after leaving the pub on a Saturday night. They weren't even stopping me because of my driving. It was a radom stop licence check. 3am i was the only one around at the time. They didn't bring out the breath test me until i put the window all the way down and the cop got punched in the nose hard by the smell of spiced rum. I blew .887 roadside then secondary test at the station i blew .894 lol...the cop was looking at me in amazement. He even complemented me on my driving. He said i parked that well on the street to the gutter he was shocked that i had that much control of my motorskills being off the charts with high range DD...he kept asking me how I did it... like i should be studied for science. Even after getting released from the local police station i got a pie from 7/11 next to the cop shop then walked 20 minutes back to the car and drove the rest of the way home to bed. Without even a single worry or close call...as i told the cop. I wouldn't be driving if i didn't think i could. I think my secret is growing up with two alcoholic parents..learnt to hold my own from a early age
Thanks for sharing your story. Only you know your body well. If you feel impaired, dizzy, or just not yourself, it’s a sign you’re not ready to drive. Trust your instincts-they’re usually right.
