Hi Trev, me and my 2 daughters (4+9 year old) went up and a long Malvern hills yesterday, when we got to highest peak we shouted as loud as we possibly could “ summit or nothing “ the people around looked on us as we were mad lol, I felt like telling them all that they must watch your channel ! Hope your staying safe and well.

Loved reliving this part of the path. I’ve done Poole to Plymouth (minus Salcombe to River Erme) so far and this section was right up there with the best I’ve walked. Just a shame you had the crappy road walk at the end. We caught a taxi back to Torcross and had a pint on the beach near the car park. Keep the vids coming... best thing on TH-cam.

Great Video Trev. In 2016 there was an organised event to walk or run from Okey Station to Ivybridge. I don't know if it is an annual event, but the article in Dartmoor News recons that walkers took 12 hours and runners did it in 6. So, there you go, run it. You can have a lie in and be back in time for tea. :-)

I don’t like walking on roads with nothing but hedgerows, nice as the greenery can be. If I have to walk on the roads, I try to plan them first to get them out the way. However after that length of walk I’m sure the flatter terrain under foot is nice too!

20 miles...I am exhausted just thinks about that. Loved the tank but sad to see the memorial of all those lost lives and all so young as well, I'll bet. The weather is real weird at the moment, either oppressively hot or blowing a gale and hammering it down, tough call on getting a soaking, especially early doors. Good to see the weather improve for you but 7 miles road walking owtch! Bet you were pleased to see that tank again at the end and well done of walking 20 miles, although, it was not that many years ago I used to do the Great North Run and doing 13 miles in just over 2 hours.....maybe that is why my knees are bloody knackered owtch x 2! The earlier ones were made from singular molds, turret and body, the later versions were made with plates welded together. The one in your vid is an early version. Strangely, I have never had any trouble with any boot that I own. I have never had a blister. The Burghaus were a strange boot - they were comfy, but the mid ankle used to catch me out, I would always feel more prone to rolling my ankle in them than other boots or even trainers. That being said, it was my burghaus boots I wore on the tarka Trail stretch of the SWCP between Wward Ho! and Braunton and my legs / feet hurt all over... more muscular pain that blisters! More agony than pain!

I'm 41 - was 37 when I started walking - and the first mountain (SNowdon) after just three bimbles on Dartmoor was areal killer. What helped me get into shape was the coast walking. Great way to train. Ive not done a mountain solo yet, either. I always feel safer in a group or with someone else at least. Thanks for watching!

How long did it take you to do the 20+ miles Trev?
I'd be resting after each 2 hour stints so itd take me 8hours minimum all told.

@@SummitOrNothing nah. Walk at a pace that's comfortable. I allow 3mph when walking but also allow for regular short rests, my knees ain't what they was. 😂

Beaches were empty people must of heeded the Government warning

They were... I have a feeling that some of these beaches are lesser known beauty spots and perhaps quite remote to get to.
