thank you so much danswers for all your work over the year. my maths teacher is horrible and im going for a b in maths so your videos have helped me so much to understand the concepts for maths in junior cert. i was just wondering if you're able to use the proof at galwaymathsgrinds.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/pythagorass-theorem.png for a pythagoras question for the proof. it seems a lot more simple than the alternate pythagoras proof that you uploaded earlier on.
Id love to know aswell because I've seen this proof but I never knew if you would get the marks for such a simplified version. It's way shorter than the proof in the book which is a page long 😳
thanks, I think that proof is a little too simple. For example it doesn't show why the shape in the middle is a square. Four sides are equal but it could be a rhombus, therefore you have to prove that the angles are 90 degrees. I need to redo that video though. Look at the end of the video and see how the question is marked, that might help you a little, but if you want full marks for the question, better go with the solution in your text book.
