I am currently studying for the ACSM, clinical exercise physiologist exam and this has been super helpful as far as supplementing my notes from the acsm guidelines of ex rx. So thank you so much!

Can you give an example of someone who has multiple diseases/conditions but prescribing the most “conservative approach?”

Sorry. There are too many variables to give an example off the top of my head that I think would be helpful to you.

thank you, very informative and definitely helped me understand a few things a bit better. One thing I am confused about is dyslipidemia, but I feel with more study I will understand a bit better. Also, in the textbook ACSM Resources for the Personal Trainer 5th Edition, page 312-313 the case study has thrown me off where it says the individual has stage one hypertension with the blood pressure being 132/84 but it is not considered a risk factor? Why would it not be considered a risk factor? Maybe I am missing something. Anyways, thank you for making these videos, it has made my pursuit of my certification a bit more digestible

The thresholds for hypertension recently changed. That textbook likely came out before they changed. That would be considered hypertensive today, but would not have been before.
