I KNEW it was drop Eb. Cuz I could just tell it was a minor 3rd lower than my 8 string in Standard. I couldn’t check cuz my guitars are in pawn currently cuz wrecking your car sucks and so do the bills that follow. But on their earlier albums when they spent the majority of the time in drop F/drop Bb...like drop Bb from 6 string perspective and drop F from 7 string perspective (yes they played in F using 7 strings...architects has their weird tuning with the two low strings F# on 7 strings...anyway) I know the bassist tuned right alongside the guitars so F Bb F Bb Eb. I’m almost positive they continue that in this album with the low string being Eb. You can really hear it in this song specifically using a subwoofer or just some headphones with really good bass. I don’t know. I could be wrong. What do you think? Either way awesome cover. I just realized this album came out like a week ago and I’ve been listening to it a lot. It’s pretty...interesting.

Cuz I discovered Northlane around the time they released Mesmer, which I think is the album right before this new one, and I still have yet to venture back through their discography to anything earlier, mostly from reading about what the fans of the band had to say about the “change in their style/sound” that occurred as a result of the new singer. I bet that was nothing compared to the difference between Mesmer and this album lol. And the fans seemed to be split 50/50 on their acceptance of the new singer, some saying he is way better and some saying the previous one was way better.
