I don't really understand how anyone is interested in the new SML. I'm not interested at all lol. It lost all the magic and charm once the plushies were gone. As someone who watched in 2016, the new content is very jarring. It just doesn't feel the same anymore
I actually helped Blake for one video back then, it was a chip and dale video where an animation segment showed and yup I animated that. He was short on time and asked anyone on discord who can basically animate a segment in half a day. I myself asked if I could do it and sure enough I was able to do the job, I'm both impressed but also wished I could make the visuals better but eh what's done has been done. I remember vividly when I went to the sonic revolution last year I was literally right behind super sonic Blake in a line waiting for the signing of sonic voice actors. I for a solid couple of hours waiting in line didn't know it was him but absolutely recognized speed super sonic right beside him. That was until a user named something sonic related(side note I was the first person to recognize him by his voice alone since he doesn't show his face in the line to even get in the convention) but regardless he was talking to him and I heard Blake and asked "wait that's Blake"? Sure enough we talked a little and it's still insane to me that a lot of people I saw on TH-cam or in the Industry (sonic wise) were there and are probably the happiest days of my life since I've always wanted to go since I was a kid.
Honestly, I’ve used to watch a lot of plush channels when I was little, especially when it comes to the Sonic Plush channels (some examples: SonicSong182, SonicToast, and SpinDashPro). Anyways, seeing this video along with Chazington’s part 1 of his 2 parter plush videos makes me glad of having a trip down to memory lane (which is around the time that we just do what we like to do without a care in the world much before we have to worry about life more often).
Cute Mario Bros and SML were my childhood back in 2010-2013. I still remember when a lot of classic SML vids were new. CMB was probably my favourite though back then, influenced me to do my own stupid plush videos back then and my friend and I memorized some of their videos lmao and would watch them over and over again. I feel like one channel you should’ve mentioned was AnimeBroMii. It was like a fusion between a typical let’s-play video. They had both Mario AND Sonic characters and it would also feature the actors pretending to be those characters playing video games. It was pretty fun for awhile

I think a lot of plushtubers forget how big these videos actually are. I know back in the day videos got 10’s of millions of views, which doesn’t happen nowadays as much, but a lot of plushtubers still do rack in a lot of views. Great video 🔥
As for the sa1 plush… I feel like if it hasn’t been found by now an animal probably just ate it or something. Or maybe it fell in water and just completely fell apart.

I don't think it's the worst thing known to man, but it just isn't my cup of tea. The weird looking puppets were the final nail in the coffin for me. After that I just felt completely disinterested lol. But other people can enjoy it if they like, I just think the Nintendo plushies were more charming and I enjoyed the homey feel of the old 2016 videos

The most bizarre thing about plush that I never really hear people talk about is the fact that these kids never even try to hide their hands. I've kinda accepted it as what it is, but it is something that I would like people to acknowledge it.
Im unsure if this comment will be read but might as well give it a try. I would just like to give a mention to, in my opinion despite getting a few thousand views per video, Grantendo who is another mario plush youtuber but also in my opinion make the best quality plush videos. Just about every video has basically movie effort put into it and stays very faithful to the source material. Grantendo’s series that began the channel and is basically still going is Super Mario plush which is just your basic mario game with peach getting kidnapped but the whole charm is how Grantendo gets creative with each episode. That series has concluded 8 years back but Grantendo has kept making high quality plush videos and even make a who super mario plsuh movie that has its own soundtrack. Right now Grantendo is back with super mario plush with New Super Mario Plush with videos getting better and better in quality tho it baffles me they aren’t as praised as I see other channels (although i may just not be looking at the right places).
I remember when me and my brother tried making some plush videos, called "Kermit an Dozer" (From the Muppets) and I dont remember much as all the videos ended up being deleted by my brother, the biggest one i remember though was one where Kermit got kidnapped after not paying his debt to pickachu and dozer had to like beat guards up i guess(aka just throw others down a staircase) Ah... what fun time those were
