Supporting a team line Sunderland is what it's all about. I've been a Chelsea supporter all my life, and I was never comfortable when the club ceased to be a club and started being a big business with overpaid players. It's the ups AND the downs that make football - all sport - special.

That's unreal you being a Sunderland fan. I was born there but my family moved to Jersey when I was small. I now live in Devon & I get out camping with Foggy from time to time. I'm hoping our new manager Regis Le Bris can turn us around but as you know only too well it's the hope we can't stand. Ha'way The Lads !

Love this vid Paul. Many of us feel your pain I’m sure supporting our respective teams. ✊🏻I’m a Palace fan and whilst we’re currently enjoying our most successful period I’ve grown up with a fair amount of misery and the odd shimmer of success (one notable night in the play-offs at the SoL!

I feel your pain Paul. In Canada, my ice hockey team in Toronto has not won anything since 1967, and what's worse, they are one of the rich clubs😂
Come over here for world cup 2026, there are some legendary camping spots👍🏼

Wow mate that's a blast from the past was part of the 83 squad, remember it well Mego, happy times! Still got it mate, the little guy on the end.. "pocket rocket" who knew how to head the ball and used to dribble for fun, What a squad, with familiar faces,we were one of those top five alongside Lees Park and Walter D'aynecourt to name a few if my memory serves me well? I actually enjoyed the days at school knowing we had a game after😂.

I'm a Mackem...my dad was behind the goal at Wembley, when Porterfield scored...I was about 2 months old!
Loved going to the Stadium of Light when Peter Reid was in charge. Great times.
Sadly lost all interest in football, about 10 years ago ... No idea why, just totally lost it.
Couldn't even tell you who the Sunderland manager is now 😔
Anyway...I'll also take this opportunity to say that I'm loving the daily vlogs. I hope you can keep em coming.
    Cheers mate.

Not big on football personally. Filmed a few hundred Premier League games and it ruined it for me. Yes, including those long trips up to Sunderland too. I feel your pain

I was wondering if you'd upload a video after last night's game but I think we all knew it wouldn't go in England's direction. They've got a remarkable skill to clutch defeat from the claws of victory, though cause I'm Scottish I see that as a good thing!

Been a huge rugby fan all my life courtesy of my grandad playing for the local team, and passing the 11plus and getting into Grammar School. So never really got into football. When I was 13yrs old I went on a Scout camp to Holland leaving on the day England won the World Cup. I did see all the normal time but had to leave before the extra time so didn't see it all. When we got to London we got on the boat train to Dover and then the ferry along with the German Fans going home. It's possible we mentioned the result to them a few times......

“Years of hurt”! You can say that again! I’m 15 years older than you are. I always used to play in the back street with neighbours and in school gyms. Later in my late fifties I started an old fart league with a few other soccer fans. Here in Canada we don’t play outside during winter but with the enthousiasm growing they started to build indoor artificial turf centres . So it’s grown to a league of about 60 players. It was fun. We learned quickly that the rubberish fibres really grabbed to the no crampon shoes. It was helpful sometimes but also dangerous I broke a leg twice and totally scrapped my right ankle. I still carry metal parts and screws in the leg. Useless to say that I don’t play anymore. I still watch on tv though, the Euro and the American games were fun to watch with old buddies!😊
