As proud and hardworking Naija I definitely don’t care what anyone else says about us because we know whom we are as a nation. We are successful wherever we find ourselves and majority us are doing legitimate business, you have doctors, engineers, lawyers and entrepreneurs, in the entertainment industry we are number one in Africa and a force to contend with worldwide. The rest of Africa can called us whatever they like we definitely don’t care because we are very busy attaining greatness. Trying to argue with fellow Africans that we are better than what they think of us is useless so majority of us Nigerians don’t care about what others say.

I’m African American and I have travelled to Abuja, Lagos, Benin, Akwa Ibom and my favorite… Port Harcourt! Let me tell you that it is not easy getting a visa for Nigeria unless you know one that is willing to vouch for you, which is why most AA do not visit Nigeria. Most of us have bloodlines that are traced back to Nigeria, so there is no hatred why most AA do not go. When you meet a Nigerian abroad, they speak so badly about the country, it actually turns you off in wanting to visit, when most things they say are exaggerated. Nigeria is a beautiful place with boundless potential.

If African Americans don't want to come to Nigeria, it's all good!
They have options, and they are free to exercise those options!
As it stands, we have a huge population of our own in Nigeria!
As a matter of fact, my prayers are for a Nigerian government to emerge that would build up the infrastructure in Nigeria to help Nigerians abroad return home!
We are looking at some 20 million Nigerian born and raised Nigerians who relocated abroad because of the rumbustiousness and the supposed hardship in Nigeria!

How can someone live successfully with so many people trying to scam them. In the black American communities, we already have troubles with drugs and gang violence, so why would we wanna go move somewhere where now so called trusted people are literally out to do you harm. In black communities in the U S you know who you're enemies are but in Nigeria it's the unexpected friends and loved ones. Being the most hated doesn't mean you're the worst. People can be hated for their success or for their guts; people can also be hated because of their talents and capabilities, or because the way they carry themselves makes others feel jealous or intimidated. For example, if I asked who are the most hated whites today, you all know that majority of the population around the world would point to the US. Even when it comes to the most hated country, many will also point to the US. But does that really mean they are the worst people in the world? Of course not. Many countries just hate the US because they think that the US intimidate others or throw their weight about too much as a superpower.

Nigeria has never been set up as a nation for tourists - you visit & get in the groove.
You mentioned the large number of Nigerian professionals abroad - the priority should be about bringing a lot of those professionals back & that will make it easier for others to follow.

By the way, i support the economy too( like thousands of Diasporans) by supporting tens of my extended family members back home)by sending them part of our hard-earned foreign currencies...... So, HOLD your Lambasting comments to my post...........nobody needs it!
