पुरानी यादें ताजा हो गई. पहले इस वाद्य को बजाकर गाव देहातों में गीत के साथ एक कहानी सुनाने वाले आते थे. महाराष्ट्र में शायद उन्हें कोकेवाला के नाम से पहचानते थे. बहुत सुंदर

Interesting this is called a sarangi in Hariyana. The instrument is commonly known as a Ravanhatta or Ravanstron and is very old (the name would suggest it’s been named after its creator!). A sarangi is a more modern interpretation of this instrument, usually with 3 playing baroque strings and the ability to play up to 4 octaves, and up to 40 sympathetic strings. India really needs to keep these traditions alive. In Nepal the sarangi is different again and is a very popular instrument there. Love from 🇬🇧
