I retract my hypothesis that all cartilage piercings hurt the same when pierced! I have since gotten my forward helix and rook pierced (video to come), and I didn't even feel the pinch of the forward helix.... but, man, was the rook painful! More so than any of my other cartilage piercings! So worth it though ;)
i got my helix as my first cartilage piercing just over 2 months ago and i got a ring put in it and i just cleaned it very diligently and it’s pretty much fully healed now and i love it and it doesn’t hurt at all if it gets bumped or if i sleep on it
Thanks. Getting my double helix/conch done within the next month. Figuring that it can’t be much worse than the double forward helix/tragus I had done some years back. I ride a motorcycle and that’s where my main concern is. The helmet hitting the helix concerns me.
As someone with their conch, tragus, and rook pierced I can honestly say that the rook hurt the worst but healed the best. The increase in pain for me was due to the thickness of the cartilage in that area. But I love my rook and would def do it again.
A little over two weeks ago I got my conch and my helix pierced at the same time and I had a ring put into both instead of a stud because of my long hair and my job. It’s healing very well! I don’t have the genetics for keloid scarring so that’s one less thing to worry about The only thing I need to keep an on eye on is proper cleaning and not bumping it fiddling with it etc etc so that a hypertrophic scar doesn’t form. I will say that I’m wishing I was able to get studs in instead of rings because I’m a fiddler and I fiddle with my earrings a lot so it’s hard not to play with the new ones.
Just want to say that I really love your videos and you are such a cool chick! you're absolutely stunning and I find your videos quite calming. Plus I am a big fan of piercings; especially ear piercings. I love how feminine they can look and I adore the jewellery that comes with it and how subtle they are compared to other piercings.. People are quite surprised to find out I have ear piercings actually as i wear my hair down most of the time... I have a daith, conch, tragus, two helix, lobes and double lobes and I'm in love with them.
That's so kind of you to say :) I agree completely with ear piercings... so feminine. The jewelry out now is just incredible. I'm debating my rook or daith next... and maybe one more helix too. Thanks for commenting, Maya.
Willow Wisteria haha I also once hesitated between the two and I don’t regret it! And the jewelry that can be put it in is gorgeous... and not that it matters but it was surprisingly my least painful piercing :)
This is an old comment but I had my helix and conch pierced and had the same experience.. my helix was 3-4/10 and the conch was 2/10. The conch felt good in a way and I think that's because the cartilage is thicker.
I was excited to hear the cronch when I got my cartilage done but either my helix or my flat Or my conch crunched and I was disappointed lol My helix was surprisingly more painful.
beautiful pieces-like always ☺️ i had a very sad jewelry experience a few days ago...my maya totem ends finally arrived...i put them in my nostrils- verything was fine till the next morning where i find one of them on my pillow-broken off from the post :((( very sad :( but i can return it and the other one will be inlaid in a plug for my stretched philtrum. ive now ordered the bumblee bees from bodygems for my nostrils, this time with internally threading :)
Oh no! I'm so sorry, Dave! How strange... I actually had that happen with one of my BVLA Afghans recently too! I took it in to a jeweler friend of mine and he soldered it back on for just a few dollars and it's holding strong now. That's an option for you if you don't want to part with them. I can't imagine how disappointed you were! I'm hoping this doesn't end up being a problem with the threadless pieces. So funny too that you mentioned Body Gems... the pieces in this video are kind of my extra little BVLA pieces that I use to get pierced with until I find my forever pieces... and I actually just ordered 2 rose gold Body Gem ends - Milgrain and Rosette. Body Gems are making such beautiful pieces too... Wow! Now I'm dreaming of the Maya War Horse for my septum - I'm stretching it now for stacking so I'm just waiting to buy anything ;) Those Body Gem bumble bees are awesome - I was eyeing those too! You're gonna love them!
Willow Wisteria yes that was a very sad experienced, but im glad that they return it and what ive planed with the other one will be super cool, it will look great in my philtrum and ive planed to to that anyways later, i just ordered two for the nostrils first to see how much i like them and then i planed to order a 3rd piece to be transformed into a philtrum piece so everything matches, at least that was my original plan -.- crazy that that happen to you too and with a kind of similar sized end. im quite sure that its more problematic with bigger ends cause they have way more space to bend and break when you hang on clothes or anything-smaller pieces arent that problematic i guess and most brands use titanium for the pins even if the end is gold cause gold is way softer and delicate. the guy who will make my philtrum piece said he heard that tends to happen with maya ends cause they use solid gold for the entire piece and thats problematic. i also had a plan for them if maya had said they wont return it i had them turned into nostril screws, i already spoked with a jewelry maker about that so i‘ll definately had a use for them either way, but im glad they return it, thats what i hoped for :) im pretty sure i will love the bees, it was a tie back than when i ordered the totems between those or the bees and i went for the totems -.- the warhorse is a incredible piece!! i want that one too very very badly but im affraid that it would be to big for my anatomy and i think it wouldnt work that great with the way my septum stack is, thats why ive choosed the wanderlust clicker wich was definately the right decision for me but im pretty sure it would look incredible in your septum, if you considering getting it you definitely should in my opinion☺️👍🏻
Dave T. Well, I’m kind of infatuated with the Body Gems Snake. I may have to get my forward helix pierced just to have a little snake crawling up my ear 😁. Glad it worked out for your pieces despite the Maya issue. Your set up sounds amazing! I’m super excited for you!
Willow Wisteria yes the snakes from them are sooo cool, im eyeing those too, as well as one of the t-rex pieces for my helix or conch ☺️ i also looked up the ones youve ordered and im in love with the milgrain!! wich combination of gold and stone did you choose? ;) do you have an instagram or so where i can reach you via DM? i have some questions for you and that would be to much for the comment section here :) mine is: nyctophilic_snowflake if you dont want to say your username here :)
@@dave6794 Sorry I missed this Dave! I ended up getting my forward helix with the GB Snake... I'm so in love with it! I love the T-Rex! I got the rose gold with the black CZ milgrain and it looks amazing in my conch - Rose gold and black is a gorgeous combo. I have pics of both on my IG account @willow.wisteria You are absolutely welcome to DM me there :)
Thank you for you video about piercing, I think piercing is amazing and beautiful thing for woman and man, why not. Have some pieces on my ears and nose, about 15 various, and all loved by me.
I didn't see any horror videos. In my opinion everyone seems to have a higher pain tolerance than I do. My helix was a 7. Everyone that got a daith said it's pressure. I felt no pressure just stabbing pain shooting in my ear, it was a 10. I hope everything heals well cuz I would not do the daith again. With as bad as it hurt I do want a couple more. I just hope that they don't hurt as bad.
I really enjoy your videos. And you’re such a pretty mama. Have you ever seen a coin slot? I just had one done and can’t wait to fill it with rings. It heals in about a month! Crazy right?! Lol

Willow Wisteria a daith piercing would look stunning I think. It’s my personal fave ✨
@@MayaDacre I just showed my husband the rook and the daith and he preferred the daith too... So my daith will be next! Thanks, girl :)

I just got my conch! I also have my industrail. I would have to say my conch was more painful! But it looks great and is definitely worth it
What part made this worse than an industrial? The initial piercing or the healing?
I wouldn’t have guessed🤯
My helix hurt more than my conch. Which I thought was weird since my conch is so thick. I’m loving BVLA too. (:

You said you used saline water and? What was the other one for the infections? I’m trying to understand the name of it.
Colloidal silver 👍🏻
Ive got several that i did my self no pain
hey, where did you get those hoop earrrings from and the name? they’re so pretty ❤
Thank you! Maya Jewelry ‘Empress’
