I use the manhassett everyday at school and at home. It holds everything I need it to. It's pricier. If you don;t need to hold alot of stuff on your stand then go for the portable one.
I’ve had that happen way too many times with those stands. I enjoy having a nice manhassett for my practicing. It would hold a real book so much better. Thanks for watching!
The "student" model you talked about, as any product, have different brands with different qualities, the are several of this portable model better than the "professional" one in your video, even for light support, despite of this mistake and the lack of information in international standard (foot is used only in 2 countries, hence not an international standard), others informations was quite interesting to understand the difference between a student and professional model, as the base of the stand for instance.
Great video, as a bass player since 1968 I have found that I need space between my tuning pegs and the next musicians near me and my music stand area while playing standing or sitting down. The portable unit is O.K. but when I go out to play, I don't go out to play that's why I like pro. Stands. Very nice and clean video Thank you.
Thanks Terry! Glad to hear from you. I much prefer the manhassett stands too. Just got used to what they can do when I’m teaching at school. I rarely use the portable ones.
Just returning to say every time I practice with a Manhasset stand it brings a smile to my face. It holds my music sheets, a book, a pencil, everything. I am a beginner. But after 4 weeks of practice I can play a few songs. The Manhasset stand just makes practice easier. And if practicing is easier, then the learning is easier. Thanks again for your helpful video.
@@petraljungbergyeah it stinks that someone did that to me. I lost a lot of connections with people. I haven’t been able to get it back either. Facebook makes it difficult. Hope you are doing well. I recorded both new Dirty Loops songs but haven’t put them out yet. Just an fyi
Sometimes they get too heavy and can tip and that’s why I don’t use anything too heavy on the portable ones. I’ll drag out the big boy and use that one for a large book.
Which type of music stand is your go to everyday stand?
I actually use a little wooden painting stand that I put on a table, but I'm looking for something that won't require a table.
I like music butt I'm a wigger

That opening clip is very real. I think I have the same one and am looking to upgrade to something that can hold The Real Book without falling!

Lol. Love that opening clip.
Thanks Chris! I’ve had that happen too many times with those stands. I thought putting it in the video would add something funny.
I like the ones with the tubular steel folding legs but a big solid top like on the Manhasset. More portable but sufficient for gigs.
Those are nice!
I just got one like what you mentioned.

Glad I could help Rodrigo!

Great tip with the magnet.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the tip!
I hit the like button on the very first second of your video 😂😂😂
Thanks! I enjoyed making that part. It’s so true too.
That intro is extra ordinary mate. Good video
Big help. Thanks. Going for the Pro model.
Glad I could help. It’s a much better stand.
Great video, Bob!
Thanks Nikola!
Great video!
Thanks I appreciate it! Are you looking for a music stand or do you already own
One of these?
Nice opening
Thanks I had some fun doing it. Those stands are really like that too. I’ve had that happen too many times. 😂
Done deal. Manhasset.
Thank you.
Best choice. Thanks!
$10 on Craigslist. Done.

😅
You need to put the book on caaarefully 😉🙃
😂I think I got the point across though.
@@bobcieslinski You sure did! 😄
😂hey just as an fyi. My Facebook account got hacked and taken over about a month ago. If you texted me something and I didn’t reply that is why.
@@bobcieslinski Ok! Good to know. I actually sent you a link for more Pianote but it said Can’t send.

those flimsy folding stands honestly kept me from practicing as much as a kid
Manhasset or bust!
Not a Proel for sure !
Opening 🤣🤣🤣
Normally, for a rocking stand, i spread the legs.
