  • Welcome back national enduro fans. We welcome you to Cherryville Ohio for round 8 of the 2024 Redline Oil National Enduro Series presented by MSR and Beta Motorcycles.
The Wiseco Flying W Ranch National Enduro is a new stop on the NEPG circuit. Buried deep in the mountains of Eastern Missouri, the Flying W Ranch is well known for its diverse and challenging terrains, testing riders with rocky trails, open fields, and steep inclines. Consistency was the one thing every racer would have to have for a good finish on the day.
In the NE Pro 1 class Evan Smith aboard his Max Motorsports Husqvarna would start the day off with 4th place in test one. Though Evan may not have been the fastest on the day following a minor ankle injury in the morning, his consistency finishing no worse than 4th in any test helped him grab the 3rd step on the podium.
Josh Toth on his Enduro Engineering GasGas, the man everyone has been trying to catch this year started his day off with 2 test wins. However some minor mistakes in test 3 would slow him down for the next few test.
By the time Josh found his flow in the final test it was no match to the fast consistency Steward Baylor Jr had on his Red Bear Racing Rocky Mountain ATC/MC Kawasaki. Stew started the day off reserved, but once he got a good feel for the terrain, he opened it up finishing no worse than 3rd in any test and winning 3 out of 6 on the day just 3 seconds ahead of Josh Toth.
In the NE Pro 2 class Liquid Molly Factory Racing Beta rider Jhak Walker would capture his first podium finish of the season. Jhak was not the fasted, but was able to stay consistent through the thick dust, finishing in the top 5 every test and 3rd on the podium.
Only 30 seconds in front of him on the day was Landers Redbull Factory KTM rider Grant Davis. Grant who was coming into this round with a recent recovered injury would start his race off with 2 test wins, where in the 3rd test some mistakes would slow him down for the rest of the day.
When Grant Davis took it down a notch Johnathan Johnson on his liquid Molly factory beta took that as his opportunity to turn his speed up. Being the first National Enduro this year for Johnathan, he took his time through the first 2 test, but was able to latch on to Jonny Girrior for the last 4 tests giving him 4 test wins in a row.
In the women’s Elite class Shelby Turner on her Enduro Engineering GasGas continued her on going momentum as the season comes closer to ending. Shelby found a flow early in the day and did not lose it, finishing in the top 4 in every test.
Red Bear Rocky Mountain ATV/MC rider Rachel Archer who was coming off a dominating performance in Ohio, struggled to keep her speed up through dust. Rachel took a big spill earlier in her day, and decided to take a slow and consistent route the rest of the race.
Though Archers worst finish in any test was 2nd it was no match to Sherco USA racer Rachel Gutish. Gutish made a bike change coming in to this round, switching from her 4 stroke to a 300 2 stroke. Feeling good at the start of the day matched with the new bike, Gutish took the top step of the podium by over a minute.
With only 2 rounds left in the season Enduro Enginnering Gas Gas rider Josh Toth will continue dominate and hold a 44 point lead over Steward Baylor Jr on his Red Bear racing Rocky Mountain ATVMC Kawasaki
In the NEPro2 class grant Davis and his Landers FMF KTM has only a 16 point lead over the am pro Yamaha rider Nathaniel Bubz Tasha.
