      What exactly where you trying to achieve in naija that you couldn't? Job? Developing countries do not have large volume of economic activities so jobs are scarce. You have to create one. Even Canada is a small country with decent size volume of economic activities but not near that of the U S or China or Australia in comparison. That's where people get it wrong.

    Hi Tobi,
    Do you think it's wise getting a student loan to finance a graduate degree this present?
    I know it's not a decision to make for someone else but I'll appreciate you response based on your experience

    • @TobiDerin
      @TobiDerin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael,
      I assume you’re PR yeah? Some people regret getting student loans when they’re done with school but some don’t. I feel it’s based on you. Personally, I believe it’s okay to get student loans as long as one plans ahead and leverages debt well..especially if it’s a program that will eventually get you a good paying job then why not. One can even work as a student to start saving a bit for the student loans. That’s just how I see it.

      Student loans can come back to bite you. If you don't receive the employment you are training for it can be a burden. I am still paying off Student loans from 10 years ago. And its all Government loans.

    I thought that for people who are from a native English country such as Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and so on aren't required to write for English text🤔

    • @TobiDerin
      @TobiDerin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All applicants must write a test in one of the two official languages - English or French. It’s actually the bulk of the points for express entry, everyone coming through express entry has to write a language exam even if you’re from an English speaking country and even if you already reside in Canada 😩. For example, I went to University here and I’ve lived here for 6 years but I’ll still need to write the language exam. Even British citizens have to write the exam.
