Brady’s dress turned out so well and it was a really fun sew! I’m excited for her to see it 🤗 I just have to sew the binding down and I’m done with the quilt, which feels so good! I just stippled in all of the plaid areas, which felt a little boring, but the plaid is busy enough that the quilting wouldn’t have stood out much anyway unless I used a contrasting thread 🤷🏻♀️ At least that’s what I’m telling myself to justify the boring quilting pattern 😂
The turtle is so adorable!! She's going to flip out when she sees the finished dress. I think your cotton lawn blends beautifully with your other Standing Tall Quilt fabrics, but I completely understand if it's too much hassle at this point!

I’ve decided to leave the ric rac! The pop of color is fun and not a single person said to take it off. The embroidery was fun, and now of course I want to do more 😂 My favorite animal at the aquarium is Bubblewrap (the octopus lol) so I’m trying to brainstorm something I can embroider that onto. I’ll definitely still wear it a ton, and I like the pop of color that the red gives. Your advice was solid, and did make me pause to think if I’ll still reach for it. I don’t get to see anymore on the shorts after Friday. It was a crazy weekend with the holiday and then our baby turned 22 on Sunday and asked for homemade ice cream and chocolate syrup and a scratch frosted chocolate sheet cake, so I spent time cooking and cleaning up this weekend instead of avoiding it. lol. Hope to get down there this week or over the weekend to finish them up. If I think about it I will send you a picture of the pink ones I finished last year when I was staying with my mom after her surgery. Had the purple cut out too but just didn’t t get to it.
