- Like so many other guitarists, Jeorge Tripps has been a lifelong fan of Fuzz Faces. The pedals-first made by Arbiter and made famous by Jimi Hendrix-have been a mainstay of the guitar-playing world's signal chains ever since. Today, we're announcing a new, special edition of the Fuzz Face: The Dunlop Limited Hybrid Fuzz Face. Handbuilt by Tripps, these 10 pedals will be an extremely limited-edition run.

Feels like this film is never coming out 🙁
My board would be half-empty without Mr. Tripps. Legend!
Jeorge is such a cool guy. Not only a brilliant designer, but a great champion of democratization, going from über boutique in his garage to moving to Dunlop where he does pedals at very competitive price, pedals that aren't just good, but amazing. There's a good reason the Hendrix Fuzz Face is revered as one of the best modern day Fuzz Faces out there and it's not even terribly expensive.
So glad he's with Dunlop designing new mxrs, dude is a genius. Just got the Poly Blue Octave and its phenomenal for bass.
Mr. Way Huge himself!!! AWESOME!!!
I love his guitar playing...
I have 6 Dunlop Fuzz Faces and a mini. Standard, Bonamassa's, EJs, Hendrix's etc and by far the best all rounder is the blue Hendrix one. The EJ is really cool and 'spitty', the Bonamassa's are smoother, thick and wooley but the blue Hendrix one is so versatile.
Which Hendrix one are you referring to Dale as there are so many now? Only ask as I am looking and it makes my head spin at the volume of different models so any advice would be appreciated 😊
@@NickFabi I think he’s referring to the light blue silicon BC108c Hendrix one like the one on screen.
@@NickFabi Yes the BC108 blue Hendrix one. The red Hendrix one is a different circuit.
@Adrian B What's sad is playing dress up at your age. Go wash your face and grow up.
Great interview!
Can't wait to see the Fran interview
Oh man this is good
Take a shot every time you hear “fuzz face”
Beat me to it!
I did. I died.
Need to show up to work by Monday! No can do💚
Dear lord lol
and end up « shit faced »
This is great. I had no idea that Dunlop changed the circuits of the Fuzz Faces.
Any way we could get Smalls versions of the Pork Loin and Red Llama?
Did this movie ever come out or is it still being made?
It really is an additional “instrument” in the signal chain. I have been into the Jessie Davies Mini Fuzz Ge lately. The “Real Deal’ big ones are very cool, but super hard to integrate, and with Germanium ones, I feel like they need some more controls?
All in all, one of my favorite pedals
1:29 ...it's the Hibiki!
Joerge does amazing things, I would love it when he would redesign the MXR blue box, its great but as a fuzzface it’s very sensitiv to Guitar, amp and fingers
Sir: I concur.
I LOVE the Blue Box but a lot of the time trying to control it is like herding feral cats. (Side note: I've had better success with it by running a 6 band EQ, MXR of course, in front of it.)
look at jhs page and check out rhe atriedes pedal...
The dunlop hybrid fuzz face is super limited!? Just 10 in the usa🤭. Never mind, I 've got the warm audio foxy tone box and sounds great👍. Fuzz and octave (germanium) 🔥🔥
I know right! The foxy tone box is amazing, got it a few months ago. Super cool pedal. I wish Dunlop would stop making these super limited fuzz faces and put some new fuzz faces in production.
@@ethanwilliams742 I hope too! The way huge atreides is pretty good. My next fuzz pedal!?
@@lesfrithdidier2745 Oh, sick man! I’ll have to check that one out!
Roger Mayer who made the fuzes for Hendrix said he never ever used a germanium transistors
Fuzz pedals are addictive.
Mr. Tripps basically said as much.
Hmmm, Jimi Hendrix used a Fuzz Face. David Gilmour used a Fuzz Face. I use a Fuzz Face. (It would be difficult to put into just a few words the impact those two men have had on my "sound".)
Hey Jeorge, Watch out those fumes!!!
So are you going to release this movie 5 minutes at a time?!? : /
where do i get that army green fuzz face.?!?!?!?! I would pre order right now!!!!
well judt saw that one went for $500 .... uggghhh... no gracias!!!
How much did these sell for originally
@@philipbrister $500 each
Sold out in seconds
5k chaching right away
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT BIG YELLOW AND GREEN / RED SPIKES PEDAL ON THE TABLEEEE
Wow this guy really likes fuzz faces! Me too ;)
Pity he doesn’t talk more about his journey with the FF. What components make a difference. The transistors make the biggest difference but what gain and leakage figures of the transistors?
I like the fuzz face when I'm getting radio signals and it's very finicky with other pedals can you do a video on that help my dumb butt out I know it's a good pedal but so far I don't like it I'm new to guitar I got the cables plugged in right I think I'm getting sound and fuzz clear clean sound and then a fuzz with radio signal in there
And it was $160 I got the big one for Amazon
Movie releases on the 21st, right?
Do the weekend on synth sounds mane
Anyone else hearing siliCONE and not siliCON?
One of the times it kinda sounded like he said silicone, but it was really more like silicun
Silicone is the most widely used component in california. Not all fuzzfaces are good one's. At least he still uses germanium also.
I have a Way Huge Coffee Cup you gave me at NAMM one year.
That's awesome I want one!
Jeoege fanciing some Hibiki?
I want a Way Huge Hibiki
sold out T-T
