Great showcase of these two! I do not see how this video is getting the dislike downvotes. The instruments themselves may not sound like authentic classic sax but they have their own sound profiles that do sound great for the class of instrument that these are. They are not trying to be a classic sax, they are their own instrument with their own sounds. Together the NUVO adds a deeper and fuller sound profile to the Venova sounds a half step brighter! Makes for quite the melodic combo.

Wanadoo Clerlande I read several of his comments. He said jSax is easier to play but Venova has a wider "musical performance". I am not sure what he meant by that. Possibly because venova's pitch range is wider, C4-C6, while jsax is only C4-G5.

There is quite a noticeable difference I can hear in the Saxophone and the Venova. The Venova is a bit flatter than the Saxophone and has less of a warm and jazzy sound but, overall, in my opinion, they both do well. I like the Saxophone better than the Venova still.
Venova sounds a bit brighter. I would say not quite a half step higher, however slightly sharper sounding. The NUVO on the left is deeper and fuller sounding. Makes for a good blend.
The Yamaha sounds like a tube a bit, it lacks realism. It doesn't sound bad though. The Nuvo sounds very realistic, probably because of the shape rather than materials.

It's a good point but remember most medieval wind instruments were woodwind, hence the "dull" sound. woodedn recorders sound dull, as do clarinets and oboes but that dullness is all part of the charm. Dont knock Dull. What you call "dull" could also be called organic. These new instruments replicate that sound quite well. Not perfectly, but close enough to sound "alive."
What few people realise (and it's not advertised) is that if you find a bung, like a piece of rubber or something to place in the tube that protrudes out over the front of the Venova, it drops the pitch considerably, and gives a fabulous base sound!
@@77MyEsha you're just turning it into a clarinet. It's cylindrical like one, the tube at the top prevents it from being closed at one end and thus losing its even harmonics and dropping by one octave
I love both sounds. They are smooth, soulful and melodic. I'd vote for The Venova because it has has more brightness to its sound but they're both brilliant instruments. I play keyboard but I'd swap for one of these.
Nuvo makes a straightening kit for the jSax that comes with a straight bell and neck, just in case you prefer holding the jSax out in front of you rather than down by your chest.
No, the Clarineo has open holes rather than the closed off keys that are seen here. The body is also made out of a glossier plastic than the jSax, and it doesn't have any silicone parts.

ヴェノーヴァ（Venova）の意味を調べました。ラテン語でヴェンタス（Ventus＝風）＋ノーヴァ（Nova＝新しい）を組み合わせて、ヴェノーヴァと言う名前に成りました。ヴェノーヴァは管楽器演奏の新しい楽しみ方を提案した目的で開発されました。
J sax sounds more like sax than venova. But I think venova has its own unique sound. It's more like deep version of recorders

ヴェノーバで練習中の「ホールニューワールド」の部分を良く聞きましたが、JsaxとVenovaはコンセプトが違う。Jsaxは明らかに日本のトーイで、ヴェノーバは楽器。jsaxは奏者の違いがあまりなく、ヴェノーバは奏者次第。
二人ともサックスの腕はかなりと思いますが。。

The jsax is a sax with clogged nose and venova is a sax with sinusitis.

Sax奏者が吹くととても素晴らしい楽器に見えます！！！ どちらもそれぞれ音色が違うんですね！ リコーダーと運指が同じという事なので初心者にはもってこいのような気がしますが、Sax経験者にはピッチを安定させる難しさ等、別の苦労がありそうですね^_^； 自分のように全くの素人には「何となくその気にさせる！」レベルで十分なんですけどね！ さて、どっちがよりSaxっぽいだろうか？

Great playing! Venova sounds like an oboe and a clarinet fighting an alleycat. Jsax sounds not like a sax, but more musical.

venovaの方がボディが硬いので芯があってアンサンブルで抜けてきそう
甲乙付けがたくて完全に好みだとは思いますが、この２つでアンサンブルするのはすごくバランスが取れていて良いような気がしました！

わたしアルトサックスやってるのですが、今日初めてjsaxとヴェノーバ吹いてみたのですが、音が出ない〜^^;なんかサックスより難しいです😥💦それとヴェノーバは左手中指、薬指の押さえるとこが離れてるのと、穴を完全に塞ぐのが大変でした〜〜^^;こんなにすてきに楽しそうに吹くにはサックスより練習が必要かもです…😂

I personally like the straight mouthpiece but the curved bell. The straightener kit is worth it.
