Could I compare Sarah and Rachelle ? When I was watching Sarah duet with Anne I thought Sarah fail at the high note while Rachelle was killing it :) Her technical singing is crazily incredible !!
Actually, Rachelle Ann Go is singing the right way, you do sing your high notes in a mix voice (or more like Lower head voice, the less confusing term). when Sarah sang this song in Bituin Walang NingNing, she was also singing in her Mix voice that's why she sang it well, when Sarah tries to sing the high notes in chest (i.e. Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin) she fails because that's not how you sing the high notes. all voices are different, but all singers should sing the right technique.
and Rachelle sings in a neutral larynx, singing in neutral larynx simply means to transition between chest voice and head voice so that you wont pull your chest voice up and push your head voice down, when a singer tries to relax the larynx while singing we naturally transition between voice registers that's why teachers say "sing in a neutral larynx" as it is easier to follow than "sing in mix voice", but essentially, they're the same.
