You have several thousand ‘family members’, in some sense, that have always been hoping you were ok. What a wonderful feeling to see you back with Nick and us…
Welcome back Terysa. Your personal well-being and your relationship with Nick is far more important than TH-cam productions. Take time to ease yourself back into your sailing routine, and ENJOY.
Back when I used to practice martial arts our sensei told us “You can’t judge another person’s pain” - I’ve found this to be a useful touch point in my own experience with mental and physical health. Please don’t ever feel that you have to downplay how you feel, and the challenges you’ve been dealing with. {hug}
You sold your boat and were displaced for two years! Who wouldn’t be affected? so happy for the new adventure you’re starting out on with the new boat!enjoy!
We definitely missed your smiling face and are glad you're back. You're not the only one who was less than enthusiastic about the never ending boat building content. I also understand that the heat & humidity of summer in Vietnam is almost unbearable. Lets go sailing :)
I was fine with the boat building content at first. It was an excellent counterpoint to Tally Ho and Leo's traditional build. Yet while Leo's build continues to fascinate, I found myself not so interested in this build as the episodes continued to pile up. I'm glad I watched. I'm glad its over. Time for some adventure. Time for some sailing.
Seeing this and then Nikki and Jason’s latest it’s just so clear just how difficult it is to be so unsettled. It takes a toll. Praying for all the wonderful things for both of you!
Also Billie and Sierra have talked a bit about the unsettled time waiting for their new boat. And from Ran Sailing and MJ Sailing you can and even Sampson boat Company, you can see that folks building boats themselves need a break from the "slow process" of getting a new boat.
I am also reminded of Maya from Sailing Magic Carpet. She's mentioned a few times now how hard the rebuild of their Cape George is because it has left her little time for her creative pursuits.
It is a pleasure to have you back. I agree with you regarding the build. I did check in most weeks but it really was not the content that I was interested in. I am excited to see you two as a partnership again and to be at sea!! I would bet that the vast majority of people are just happy to see you back!!
Good to see you back. I haven't bothered watching Nick going on and on about all the boring boat build technical stuff. Looking forward to being back on the water.
Just wanting to say: TEREYSA: What a powerful gift you have given us with this video. Thank you for that, for your honesty, your vulnerability, For sharing your raw truth, and equally your gratitude for the privilege you find yourself in. Tears fell, listening to you speak. I think it's hard to overestimate the impact of the pandemic on us all, of our habit to isolate, and our difficulty finding stride since then. May the new boat be everything you dream of, and may it bring you and Nick together into the same joyful realm, where you can explore and discover the world together in this next new chapter.
I don't underestimate the toll that feeding a weekly content machine would take on you and your relationship. Good on you for taking time out when you felt you needed to. Wishing you and Nick all the best for what comes next.
I enjoyed Nick's posts on the boat build and life in Vietnam. He did a great job. His enthusiasm was so genuine and so refreshing in contrast to other channels I watch where the strain of waiting for the new boat and the struggle to generate content is clearly taking its toll. I agree that towards the last few months as delivery was delayed I kept wondering how he maintained his enthusiasm. Maybe the beautiful woodwork and craftsmanship was enough. I'm really looking forward to you both being back on board and seeing the boat in all her glory.
Being in a privileged position does not mean that you are immune from life's stresses. Look after yourselves and I hope moving onto the new boat goes well
I'm with you on the channel content. Watching video after video of pieces of wood and plastic and being told this is this and this is that got to me too and I'm just someone viewing. I can totally see how editing the same content over and over could get to be too much. I stopped watching the channel but would check in here and there to see if it was finished and there was always just more of the same... sawdust, tape, bit and pieces. I thought, there's not going to be any surprises to see the finished boat after seeing it in every stage of development right up to setting her in the water. I'm glad to see you back and I hope you can get back into the swing and enjoy the fantastic lifestyle of cruising again. A brand new boat should help eh? hehehe Thanks for the honest chat. I'm sure it was not easy and I am glad to hear that is all it was and not something more serious. I am excited to resuming following you on your adventures again!
Thrilled for you Therysa, I too was completely uninterested in the boat build technicalities but nevertheless enjoyed seeing the progress and glimpses of life in Vietnam. Now let’s get sailing cruising exploring and enjoying the sundowners 🎉
Good on you for doing the smart thing and taking care of yourself. The world would be a better place if more people did. Lovely to see you back and I am excited about the content you are about to create.
So happy to see you back Terysa!! I love the dynamic you and Nick have (you are adorable and hilarious together), and it hasn't been the same without you. Super excited for the new chapter!
Hey Therysa, you don’t owe us any apologies or any explanations. Nevertheless I was relieved to hear you didn’t find the boat build exciting because neither did I! Very much looking forward to the next chapter of RR2 and taking us on the journey.
Glad you're okay and glad you're back. The channel isn't the same without you. You both balance each other and the channel (don't tell Nick but you are way better with the camera). Best wishes and welcome home.
I loved, loved, loved Nick's geeking-out with technical stuff, but I have missed your sensitive narrative and perspective. Welcome back, welcome home. I sure missed you.
Glad to see you on camera and back with the boat. Thanks for sharing your story. You didn't owe us anything, glad you found a way to take care of your self. Will be so happy to see you and Nick sailing again on your new home. Cheers
Stress is stress and we all suffer from life's stresses in different ways. Whatever you need to do to take care of yourself and what life throws at you is up to you ( and Nick ) Look after yourself and do whatever you need to make life good and happy for yourself. Nice to see you back on cam again. 😀
Welcome back, it's great to reconnect. Honestly, I've also found myself less immersed in the building process lately. What truly excites me is envisioning you two embarking on your dream voyage, sailing the world in that impressive vessel. The fact that this lifestyle can lead to burnout doesn't surprise me - I'm no stranger to it myself and often need to switch gears, just like you've done by returning to your Australian roots. Australia is truly an amazing country. Your candid reflections resonate with me, and this juncture feels special - a pivotal point where you're faced with a choice. These moments, when you tread the less-traveled path, are the ones I cherish most in life. So, go ahead and forge those unforgettable memories. You have my support and admiration. Much love to both of you.
Therysa, Thank God you're back!!! I don't know if I could take one more episode of just looking at Nick. :) It has been a long boat build and we miss the adventures. Can't wait to see Ruby Rose 2. We love your channel and the chemistry you guys have. WELCOME HOME!!!
Hi Guys - no need for any explanations - had burnout myself so fully understand. Enjoy all the content and good to have Tereysa back. take care both of you and enjoy the fruits of your labour!!
I'm not sure I could take much more boat build episodes. Nick, we love you, but it's so great having Teresa back! Looking forward to seeing both of you doing what you love.
Well, I have to say that it is amazing to see you again! Thank you for the clarity and update. I am with you, I am ready to see the purpose of the boat, Sailing, and definitrly looking forward to your travels. The great thing is that the vessel is floating and oh so close to letting loose of land. Fair Winds and Following Seas to you and Nick when you are released to start sailing again. Can't wait!!
We're glad all is ok and you are home with Nick. Now! Let's get the party started and show us your new boat!! I'm so excited to see her all decked out and on the water. Welcome home Terysa.
Funny, it was Nick and the boat build that actually brought me to your channel. I had seen one or two videos back in the day but I never watched you guys. Watching the episodes of the boat build with Nick is why I am now a subscriber. Sometimes we just need to man up. Life doesn’t always throw us things we want but when that happens, we need to turn those things that we don’t want into Gold by Manning up.
I think it's great he waited to go on board for you together! Sometimes we all need a break from this crazy life and it's circumstances! Glad you are back and looking forward to you all enjoying the new boat!
We are so happy you are back. We have to take care of our minds, hearts, and souls first in order to move forward. Thank you for sharing! You did an amazing job editing! Safe travels!
Well done for this post. It’s good for you and for reality to share the humanity of the pressure you are under. Nothing is more important than you, your health and good for you to take time to re-set and re-calibrate. Hugs.
I’m just back too! I wasn’t passionate as a viewer watching a boat build so this is my first vlog I’m watching in I don’t know how long. Welcome back, it may take a little time for you to adjust I’m sure you know that. I look forward to watching you both cruising on RR2 xx
So happy to see you back in front of the camera Teresa. No need to apologize for needing to re-charge your batteries, so to speak. Looking forward to the new content on your beautiful new cat.
Burnout is a real thing. I can't imagine being without my home and a firm base for that long. I'm so, so glad that you two were able to navigate that without losing hold of one another and your dream. Your man loves you, Ms Terysa. We could see that every time he spoke of you but the day he spoke of having you home... well, Nick does brusque. And Nick does technical and brainy and energetic. But we don't see tender out of him. That day, we saw tender. He's so happy to have you back and have a home together with you, on the water and adventuring again. Who knew he was a closet mush? lol I know it's been a few days since this, so I hope she's all you both ever dreamed of. Welcome home!
Glad you’re back! Just remember that you invited us into your life - we’re the privileged ones. You don’t owe us anything. No explanation is necessary. We’re just thankful to have you back and to be able to follow you once again on your journey.
Thanks for sharing the real side of life and the tough times with the good. All the best for the course ahead and hopefully lots of perfect times with nick on the new boat.
We’re so happy to have you back and for you and Nick to finally have a home again! I can only imagine how unsettling and stressful that these last few years have been. Just want to give you a hug!
Welcome back!!!! Like you, the boat build wasn’t in my wheel house and I honestly didn’t watch the channel near as much. I’ll be back for the sailing adventures.
Welcome back Tyresa, it's lovely to see you again. I'm sorry that you felt the way you did, and I hope that is all behind you now, but incase it isn't, please look after yourself and take your time, enjoy the next few months with your new home getting to know her and put the camera away a little more often, we'll survive! Remember, quality over quantity. Stay Safe & Fair Winds!!
Terysa, you are a fantastic lady! Welcome back. You have been greatly missed! And so looking forward to seeing you and Nick back out on the water... Congratulations on Ruby Rose 2 being ready for the countries you two will be sailing her to. Sending big hugs. GOD Bless You both.
Terysa you have become a part os us, who have followed yours and Nicks journey ,we care, for nick and yourself may peace and joy follow both of your lives ! We Care ! Love and peace as you find your way.
Honest and understandable, as a fellow Aussie I get that and I admire those traits - you're brave for being so open and candid and I hope this next chapter is fulfilling, adventurous and fun.Bon voyage 🙂
Great to see you back. I stopped watching quite some time ago, I was bored with the boat building content. I just happened to see you here. Look forward to watching your usual fantastic cruising content👍
Welcome back Human. Life's gravity has taken you both to such amazing places, good & bad and your surviving it. While you breath that process is never ending. Who knows where you headed next? Good luck to you both.
Sooooo glad to have you back. And you were right….the boat build videos are not as thrilling as Nick thinks. Looking forward to seeing your perspective on the world again!
Good to have you back. Agree with other comments that your well being is the most important thing and can not wait to see you getting stuck back in. You have been missed
You have been missed. And life is a real pain sometimes. Stress is stress, no matter where it comes from. It is great to have you back on the channel. :)
So glad for your honesty, it must have been a tough few years, with COVID and the seemingly never ending delays in the boat build up to this point. Now you and Nick are back together about to start this new chapter of your lives together. Wishing you a very happy reunion, with fair winds and following seas. ⛵️
Teresa, we left too! But we figured eventually the build will end and the wonderful storytelling will resume. Glad you made it back and look forward to the wonderful experiences you have to share.
It's so good to see your sweet face again. When EVERYTHING in your environment is suddenly unfamiliar, and you are missing the most important thing to human beings--people and community--it can be emotionally devastating. You did what you needed to do, and I'm so glad your relationship was strong enough to allow you to do it. We have missed you and are looking forward to seeing you both on new adventures.
I’m so glad you felt able to do this video. I’ve missed your input, (but loved the build videos!). Totally get you couldn’t do the build videos and needed a break. I’m glad your felt you could do this. Am looking forward to the future where your love of the travel and experience will give us fantastic content. (Thank You in advance!) I totally get your perceptive and gratitude for your position in life but appreciate the content your make for us. I love the content! Keep doing an amazing job. I am looking forward to the new phase with you and Nick.
It's wonderful to see you back! We were getting ever so slightly bored with listening to the dentist's paroxysms of delight over bits of well executed joinery. Now that you're back, we can look forward to proper sailing lifestyle content!👍
So glad your back. I don't understand why it took so much longer on your boat build than it seemed to have taken building Tulas endless summers Seawind Catamaran. Look forward to the future videos!
The last two years have been a F'd-up time warp for just about everybody. Thank goodness you had a place to go and the strength of your relationship with Nick to go there and not lose any ground with him or with your sea crew. I can't imagine it has been a day-at-the-beach for either of you. I'm so glad to see your face and I anticipate seeing you in the light of Nick's eye as you sail together again (as it should be)
I must say that for me i was not a fan of all the boat build episodes whereas others may like that. Nick was obviously very into the build which i respect. It is great to have both of you together again and looking forward to future episodes now the the boat has been completed. Everyone needs a break from whatever now and then so glad you took the time. Welcome back.
Thanks for the update. The channel is not the same without you whether sailing, travel, construction or whatever. I often wondered how Nick survived the ordeal there. I think your decision to be home made wonderful sense. The next chapter seems to be back to what we all enjoy and is worthy of celebration for your return and for Nick’s endurance. May you both enjoy this dream!.... Lots of work, fun and experiences to have and share.
Took a huge amount of courage to step up and say that...saying what you experienced and what you feel. You are one incredibly strong woman. The good thing is...that chapter is over, and the boat is ready, and so...I imagine...are you. Go live the live you have worked so hard for and waited so long for. You certainly have earned it...and thanks for sharing this with us.
Be welcome back!! We all go through highs and lows sometimes. Just join Nick - who by the way deserves loads of credits for keeping it all rolling, and you both enjoy the new reality! RR2 Cheers
Welcome back Terysa, absolutely you makes this channel special. As much as i am sure we all appreciate Nicks amazing boating knowledge and skills, your smile an commentary is the cream on top. 😎
It’s nice to have you back girl. It was a long build. We’ve seen every glue joint and shelf in the galley, every bulk head, water tank, water maker and light being installed and all the electrical gages. Then they sanded everything nine times and painted all of it ten times. So, let’s go sailing. I think Nick missed you. I know we did. See you next week.
Hi Terysa thanks for being vulnerable and going there first. By doing so you give others the opportunity to follow. Burn out is a real thing and if not managed can lead to real depression. Take care of your self and I hope the passion and joy of being on the water helps heal your soul.
Welcome back and believe me you were missed. Every thing you said is completely understandable. STRESS is a bit challenging and you did the right thing in handling it. Other than putting up with Nick's operation of the camera, no apology necessary. We all love ya. Roy
Glad to see your lovely face and looking forward to your new adventures. Sailing videos were escapism for many of us during the pandemic. I have gotten tired of all the sailing channels becoming boat builds, repairs and fluff nonsense.
We all need a break now and again. Hopefully, this next chapter will be awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Nick showing us the world from Ruby Rose 2
Sending you so much love. Thank you for your authenticity. Your hindsight can be our foresight. May joy, happiness and gratitude fill your heart again. ❤
You are the primary reason for watching the channel. It hasn't been the same without you. Burnout I understand, believe you me. My thoughts were much darker and I stand relieved you are back and "restless". Congratulations on the next chapter.
Thanks for the explanation even though you don’t owe one to anyone. You’re human and it’s okay to be that. Enjoy the new adventures. I’m looking forward to peeking in on them again.
Welcome back! After catching a glimpse of a "few" boat building episodes, I was genuinely astonished to stumble upon your post today. Sending my best wishes to you and Nick for a joyful chapter in RR2 - life 2.0, as you embark on this journey together. Anticipating the upcoming sailing year on your dream boat - you both have truly earned it!
You have several thousand ‘family members’, in some sense, that have always been hoping you were ok. What a wonderful feeling to see you back with Nick and us…

You do get a "feel" for it though.

I’m glad you took the time to do what is right for you and hope you enjoy the start of your new adventure!
Ditto on that:) Hope the new boat is a good fit (looks fantastic). Weirdly I prefer the phone footage to the dedicated camera footage.

boat building was painful. quickly stopped watching.

Lovely to have you back Terysa......fair winds and following seas.
Welcome back. So happy to see you. Hope all your dreams come true.
Just happy to see you back Terysa and excited to see this new chapter begin.
Good to have you back. Agree with other comments that your well being is the most important thing and can not wait to see you getting stuck back in. You have been missed
Oh my god you're human welcome back
First Ruby Rose video I have watched in a while,
Welcome back!
You have been missed. And life is a real pain sometimes. Stress is stress, no matter where it comes from. It is great to have you back on the channel. :)
So happy to see you back.. Teresa … can’t wait to see your new adventures on your brand new home! ⛵️
So glad for your honesty, it must have been a tough few years, with COVID and the seemingly never ending delays in the boat build up to this point. Now you and Nick are back together about to start this new chapter of your lives together. Wishing you a very happy reunion, with fair winds and following seas. ⛵️
Thank you for your insights, welcome back on screen, and much love to you! ❤
Teresa, we left too! But we figured eventually the build will end and the wonderful storytelling will resume. Glad you made it back and look forward to the wonderful experiences you have to share.
Welcome back! Looking forward to all your new adventures.
(Thank You in advance!)
I totally get your perceptive and gratitude for your position in life but appreciate the content your make for us.
Great comment lol.
Welcome back and well done in doing this episode. Very heartfelt.
RR2
Cheers
Welcome back Terysa, absolutely you makes this channel special. As much as i am sure we all appreciate Nicks amazing boating knowledge and skills, your smile an commentary is the cream on top. 😎
I am glad you are back, thank your for your honesty. I know what you been. I am happy you are back. very best wishes to you both Safe Sailing.
Welcome back Therysa! And congratulations too! Thanks for sharing your perspective and experience. Cheers to better days ahead!
We all need a break now and again. Hopefully, this next chapter will be awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Nick showing us the world from Ruby Rose 2
I can understand how you would feel. Very happy you’re back!
HIIIIIIiIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!
We missed you, we love you!
Nice to see you back
Good to have you back. Everyone needs a break, and now we can finally have a break from Nick... 😉
Enjoy your new home.
Looking forward to your new adventures. All the best to you, Terysa!
Glad you are back! Ruby Rose 2 needs you! Enjoy your new beautiful boat!😊
Nice seeing you back, hope you’re doing good. Take care of Nick he’s a good guy.
Many thanks for your videos you make us happy
Abdulla
So very glad to see you back… I hope Ruby Rose 2 is all that You and Nick could possibly want!
