The Compassion of Jesus in The Chosen Seasons 1-4

- The Bible tells us that Jesus is gentle and lowly in heart and that his heart fills with compassion for those who suffer. The Chosen helps us imagine what it would have been like to see and experience Jesus' compassion by dramatizing key biblical scenes like Jesus touching a leper (Mark 1:40-45 / The Chosen Season 1 Episode 6), Jesus embracing a Samaritan woman (John 4:1-15 / The Chosen Season 1 Episode 8), Jesus raising a paralyzed man (John 5:1-9 / The Chosen Season 2 Episode 4), and Jesus reviving a withered hand (Mark 3:1-6 / The Chosen Season 2 Episode 6), and Jesus comforting the bereaved Martha (John 11). I've also included a scene invented by The Chosen, Jesus giving Little James strength in weakness (Season 3 Episode 2) since it seems to be inspired by 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. I hope this compilation will be instructive and inspiring for you.
All scenes were originally from The Chosen TV Series. For full episodes visit @TheChosenSeries on TH-cam or www.thechosen.tv

I love The Chosen. I have watched it over and over. I hope one day i see Jesus.
i almost type this, never tired
I have cried most of the day worried about my job situation I made a mistake I need Jesus I go tomorrow to beg for my job so I can support my wife please lord have mercy on me I have done bad things
I'm sorry, Billy. Praying for you.
Thank you when that door shut I pray he opens a new one I love this show I have told people about it
Whatever the outcome know that your honesty and fear of the wrong is the blessing. Sometimes the door needs to close so you can stop seeing yourself as what you did wrong but now move toward the right. We cannot always escape the consequences of our bad decisions whatever they are but we can know that our confession makes us right with our Lord. All will be well with you and for you.
become immortal.
From your statement, you said “i made a mistake” and “I have done bad things”. Are the two related? If you’ve done bad/illegal/unethical things at work, you can kiss your job goodbye if there’s any evidence or bias against you at work. If, when you say “I’ve done bad things” and you meant outside of your job, well I wish you the best, hope you stop doing those things and repent. Other than that, I got nothing for you. Only Jesus can forgive whatever you’ve done.
MY FAVOURITE SCENE IS JESUS WITH LITTLE JAMES ❤
The best show on the planet .

😍We Serve a God who is Alpha and Omega always and forever who's fully in control of it all in the mighty name of Jesus Amen ✨️🕊✨️
Beyond beautiful... The compassion in His voice when He replies to the leper:
"I won't."
Dallas really made such a great choice with Jonathan. He has the ability to show us the heart of Christ.
Jesus can help if you repent. Ask for forgiveness for your sins. Then let. Jesus into your life. I'm a sinner that with the help of Jesus Christ has found the truth. I now live to be more like Jesus every day. God Bless
I love this! This is why I watch them over and over again. The healings are so powerful! I can watch them over and over. I would have loved being present for them 😇❤️
The "I don't know" by the paralyzed man was so genuine. Many of us are stuck where we are not knowing why.
I love it when He said that, "I know Jacob." Not that he knows who Jacob is. He knows Jacob personally.
Do you think that Jesus is the one who wrestled with Jacob in genesis 32? Since Jesus is God in human form this has been floating in my head ever since I’ve read that passage
@@antoniosmith7863 it is quite possible.
Jesus never leave us or forsake us ❤😂
How can people not follow someone like Jesus. He is so loving and perfect.
I know he is, but sadly many don't trust him because they've been hurt by others; those in the church and those outside the church as well. Others have been brainwashed --- some since childhood --- into believing and worshipping an entirely different Jesus Christ, and a completely different gospel, while many others love their sins, not God. And until my conversion nearly twenty years ago, when God rescued me from the penalty of Hell because of my sins, I, too, was one of those people. But God is so good. If he could be patient with us, think about how patient he is right now with those who are yet to be born again.
What people need to understand, however, those who are not yet born again, is that as patient and as kind as Jesus is, he will not wait forever, because after physical death, comes judgement (Hebrews 9:27), and that forgiveness and eternal life is no longer available to them if they've already passed on into eternity. This is why it is so important for those who know in their spirit that God is calling them to himself, calling them to repentance, that they respond _immediately_ to his call and completely surrender their life to him, to Jesus, because just like us, neither do they know when they'll die.

@@dinerdashing I have known Jesus most of my life but I got addicted to drugs and sometimes I wonder if I am going to be saved for all my sins and rejecting of God. I have received the holy spirit but i am so miserable these days it seems like I am cursed. I know Jesus is god but I feel lost. any advice?

Hi there,
I am so glad you reached out to me. Let's talk about this.
First off, please understand that I am not a licensed counselor, but a born again follower of Christ who will do my best to counsel you with the word of God, the holy Bible, and with any personal experiences that might benefit you.
Before we get started, I will need a little clarification from you so that I can better understand what it is you are going through. So here are my questions to you:
1. What do you mean exactly when you say that you have known Jesus most of your life?
a. Do you mean that you grew up in a Christian household, went to church, had Bible studies with your parents, things like that, and therefore, believe you are a Christian?
Or
b. Did you come to a point in your life where you recognized your sinfulness before God, repented with a contrite heart, and asked his forgiveness and mercy for your sins and rebellion towards him?
In other words, have you been born again? Do you know what born again means? If not, don't hesitate to ask. I will be happy to explain it to you.
Contrition, by the way, means to be truly, truly sorry (remorseful) and brokenhearted over your sins towards God.
Which category would you say you fall under? A or B?
2. What do you mean when you say that you have received the Holy Spirit?
a. Do you mean that you speak in tongues and therefore, are filled with the Spirit?
Or
b. Were born again at some point in your life, and therefore the Holy Spirit came and took up residence inside you?
Again, which category best describes you? A or B?
Listen, I am down to 23% battery power on my phone, and it'll probably take about an hour to an hour and a half to charge up again. But go ahead and leave me your answers in a post, and I will get back you as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I will be praying for you.
Maranatha!
@@planes3333Just knowing that Jesus is God isn’t enough, this is something that even the demons know. We need to have a personal relationship with Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we need to be reading His word the Bible. If you’ve been truly saved, born-again, having repented of your sins and excepting Christ as your Lord and Savior, your sins, past, present and future, have been forgiven, you can’t lose your salvation. But that doesn’t mean your life will be easy or without hardships and it surely doesn’t mean that you can continue in sinful behavior. Repentance doesn’t just mean to feel sorry for what you have done, it means to totally turn away from it and turn towards the Lord and how He wants us to live our lives. If you have an addiction issue you need to address that, the Lord will help you but you need to be making an honest effort also. Read the Bible, pray to the Lord being open and honest with Him, listen and He will lead. If you are saved He’s not condemning you, it’s the sin that you continue in that He has a problem with. Get connected with a good Bible believing and preaching church, a lot have Bible study or discipleship groups and try speaking with the Pastor.

Hi!
Did you get my post from yesterday, the one with the questions? If not, please let me know and I'll go ahead and re-post it.
The reason I ask is because sometimes, not all of my posts post in the comments section. I'm not sure why it happens, it just does sometimes. Anyway, let me know and I'll re-post my post in short sections. That seems to work sometimes. Hope to hear back from you.
Maranatha!
I have Multiple Sclerosis and this absolutely brought tears to my eyes. It isn't instant and my treatment is unorthodox. It's very hard to believe but the results speak for themselves. Neurologist didn't understand it. I would have never guessed that God would give me a way to heal myself in such a way.
I pray you will be healthy.
Now that you have experienced the Love and mercy of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.your gonna experience the unexplainable .
Some people will think your crazy .
Take heart God has healed you for a reason .
His love is unmeasurable unexplainable incomprehensible.
Go into this world knowing what he has done for you and give his hope to others were as your ministry is right in front of your feet were ever you go
im so happy for you 😊😊😊 your faith must have been so great.
I would have never gotten this far without the Lord. He was there for me in the most detrimental (and glorious) times of my life. Even when I turned my back to God and disavowed Him; willingly walked away; he never let go. I was never welcomed back because I never left to begin with. He patiently waited and still protected me when I didn't want it. I deserved to be lower than dirt. Less than that. I still feel like I'm not worthy of redemption. But here I am. Still alive and closer to Christ than I ever have. Our mistakes serve as lessons for our true eternal purpose after we die. Once we know our true purpose to our creation.
So glad The Choosen will be on this weekend, it wasn't in our small Mtn town theater, I'm so excited!!! Waited long time but it'll be worth it. Jesus had such compassion,,He showed me mercy a compassion,, bless Him
You only need me ….. 😩 I wanna hug him
And we will!! ❤
Dear, what is the matter? All 1 needs to do is ask.
17:27 is probably the most hilarious line in the entire series. "Interesting point"
I love the detail of Matthew and John writing the Gospels. Powerful!
20:30 - - patient with your suffering here on earth - because you know you’ll spend eternity with no suffering.
im glad this series conveys such beautiful story on the life of jesus
When you pass out from this earth and meet your father in heaven, your reward will be great! wow a fine speech so powerful that it lift hearts and can move mountains
6:53 This has long been fulfilled, I can even pray to God while I'm inside a coffee shop, or while I am about to leave for work!!
16:30 Saturday on May 25, 2024.
This scenery is amazing and come as so real and i find myself in it. Jesus's words come but as divine piercing the heart and every strong hold so all may be humbled.
The son of Man is truly what he is as told in John 14:6. Amen
God is Spirit and Truth who can heal us not man in the mighty name of Jesus Amen
Glory To God In The Highest And Peace To All Of His People...
Unimaginable compassion 🎉
I'm sad that they left out the part when Jesus told the paralyzed man at the pool “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
In John, the paralyzed man is portrayed in a more negative light - he's the foil to the blind man who responds more faithfully when questioned by the Pharisees. Jesus' warning is specifically aimed at his cooperation with the Pharisees
Maybe I'm reading too much into this simple scene. But when the leper begs Jesus not to turn away from him and Jesus says "I won't." This has always held deeper meaning to me that shows no matter where you are in life or what you have done Christ will never turn away from you.
Wonderful is your love for us
Thank you Lord
Beautiful healing scenes powerful as well . As miracle s happening and Hope given to those in weakness and strength in patience and God's timing for healing that gives testimony to honor Almighty God in Jesus Christ name Amen alleluia alleluia yes and even for raised the dead to life and for eternal life as well . Thank you for sharing this video today with me . Awesome a Fan of "The Chosen" TV series. Awesome! A fan From USA Arizona peace and Joy 😁❤️🙏🌞🌵🇺🇸
This leper reminds me of Isaiah 6 when Isaiah comes before the throne of God and realizes he is a man of unclean lips. Prior to this, man had to do what God said to cleanse/purify himself before coming to God. But when the angel of the LORD comes to Isaiah and picks up a fiery coal and places it against Isaiah's lips, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” is the first time that God reaches out and through the Seraphim to cleans the sin of a man. The leper was unclean. He knew it and was shunned by everyone. But Jesus being God, comes to the leper and cleanses him. This is the salvation that God is offering...one that reaches out in spite of our uncleanness and comes into our uncleanness and He cleanses us of all sin. Praise be to our LORD and our Savior!!
Great connection!
@@thebibleartist Giving credit where it is due, this is on The Bible Project video on Holiness. It amazed me and so I'm passing it around. :-)
I agree I cried at these movie t too especially at the Passion Of The Christ definitely
He is so believable as Jesus!
Because in this show it’s no longer Jonathan, but it’s Jesus through Jonathan. That why we’re all so attached to this show. It’s because we can see & hear our Jesus through Jonathan
The chosen has help me so much better to understand the reach mg of Jesus
I wanted to sit in Jesus’s lap I want to be loved like a brother that he is My earthly brother disliked me very much. And I need love and understand that I will get it in Heaven. Will we still have our name as we do on earth

Praise God indeed. But we need Solomon. When if ever are we going to get to see season 4?
"Not to shabby." I love that! 😄
By the way, does anyone know the name of the actor who plays the paralytic at 10:41? Thanks.
Maranatha!
You need to watch the show RISEN...it is a great show. Jesus comes back...but cant tell you how it ends.
❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the compilations but miss your insightful commentary.
Don't worry, this isn't a replacement for any of that. Just a little side project I wasn't interested in trying. I may do an accompanying commentary for these at some point too
They should have got Silvester Stallone to play Jesus that would make this an epi lol 😂
Who was this man?
It was actually Little James that wrote the book of James. Nit Jws brother of John
Some believe that. Others believe James the brother of Jesus is a third, distinct James, who wrote the book
.....
What is wrong with you. Apparently everything
I hate Phrasies. They didnt like Jesus. They thought he was causing trouble. Even thoughthey saw him heal a person they still didnt believe. Amd it was against the law to heal on the sabbath. Who were they to tell the Son of God what he can and cant do.😊
lol why don’t they call him god but they call him teacher… oh ya it’s because Jesus wasn’t god
Ignorance
JESUS IS BLACK THIS IS BLASPHMY, THE BOOK OF CLARANCE IS A BETTER MOVIE
