Good choice of episodes. I would personally add some episodes that I LOVE: - Episode 25 "Fly Imo-chan!", where Ataru shows his good side with the help of Lum - Episode 41 "Panic in Typhoon!", where a typhoon struck Moroboshi's house, and Ataru ended up saving Lum's life - Episode 64 "Goodbye Season", where Megane, Shinobu and everybody else think that Ataru is going to give up on Lum, with consequences. - Episode 66 "Happy Birthday My Darling", where the relationship between Ataru and Lum faces a serious challenge caused by a misunderstanding and their immaturity. It reveals how much the alien girl is important for the terran boy - Episode 71 "Shinobu's Cinderella Story", a crime fiction story centered on Shinobu and her misfortune with men - Episode 89 "Lum and Ataru - A Night only for Two", where Ataru and Lum end up sleeping together on the same bed. It provides a good explanation on why Ataru does not try to have good time with her. - Episode 194 "Great All Star Banquet! We are Immortal!!", the goodbye episode, with Ataru kissing Lum
@@XBlackMoonRisingX015 In my opinion that episode has been ruined by the stupid scenes based on "Casablanca" at the start and the end of the episode. But you are right, episode 117 really shows how strong are Ataru's feeling for Lum, and the fact that they are not based on Lum's beauty.
Yeah, I liked Episode 25 too (as decidedly weird as parts of it were), especially the ending. It's always nice to see signs that, deep down inside, Ataru is basically good guy who can & will do the right thing just out of kindness. I would've loved to see more like that. I also loved Episode 66. Next to episode 44, it's probably one of my all-time top favorite episodes; it was so well-done & felt so real that it really _got_ to me. And the cool thing is, you could kind of see both sides of it. On the one hand, you could definitely understand why Ataru's feelings were hurt, and yet at the same time Lum was trying so hard to make up for it. And the ending, where Ataru's in the phone-booth in the rain....OH! That gets me every time!
8:10 #44 After You've Gone was the only rerun episode in the Urusei Yatsura Japanese tv network run that aired the week before the final episode of the series...voted on by fans of UY in Japan as the best episode of the series. Maison Ikkoku replaced UY in the tv time slot after the final UY episode.
When I first got into the show I binged over at least 50 Episodes before deciding to watch them out of order. It was much more easy and relaxing for me.
Yeah, I love that episode; one of my all-time favorite if not _the_ favorite. One of my favorite parts is where Ataru & Shinobu are talking together. It's real subtle but without even any words spoken, you know that any romantic possibility between them is essentially over, _but_ that she'll be available just as a friend. Like I said, it's a real subtle detail, but one that (like so many other elements in the episode) adds so much.
The episode in which Lum and Ataru are going to be alone because Ataru's parents were on vacation should definitely enter in the top, it was really fun.
I agree, and the Star Wars parody? lmao Even with 50 slots I had to make tough cuts, especially because I wanted to have balanced representation across the whole show. Seasons two and three (55-150) were particularly hard to decide on for me.
You don't even know how perfect this video is...I'm serious you don't even know...(you probably know..) I am like 3 episodes and 3 movies into this series and I was ready to give up on it in favour of Ranma and Ikkoku.. With this list however, I might be able to ACTUALLY finish my Rumiko Takahashi list before I die. This is amazing! Honestly...THANK YOU!
No me neither. Just Ikkoku which I am super excited to get into, Ranma with a guide from digibro and now the essentials of Urusei Yatsura with your guide. I feel like thats already plenty Rumiko for a lifetime...^^
The briefness I peeked in the manga I could tell that yeah, there's a ton of anime original content too, so both are key to getting EVERYTHING Urursei Yatsura related. Thank goodness Viz licensed the manga this month! :D
You're lucky that you're my favorite anime analysis TH-camr CC, otherwise I wouldn't willingly sit through 40 minutes of a video about a show I don't (yet) care about You're a gem and please keep making content
HELL YEAH thank you so much! Definitely, this is a risky video for me to make cause it's a TOP LIST and SUPER LONG on a show hardly anyone cares about, I was lowkey hoping I established a brand of quality that I could trust my subs to check it out haha Next vid should be a bit juicier, also pretty long ;)
The key word being "YET". ;) I was still in the underground birth-of-anime college clubs when AnimEigo first started selling the UY sub VHS's by mail, and it was like when Monty Python first hit. (Which I remember too, btw.)
Honestly it is way better than modern generic school rom-coms Not only Urusei Yatsura features some fun moments, it has great music, great animation which is so dynamic, slap stick comedy, cool action moments Great settings and some weird & creative moments that you won’t get them in your typical rom-com So i recommend everyone to watch every single episode of it Also the movies…bruh the movies are something else specially beautiful dreamer which is a stand-alone masterpiece
It does my heart well to see somebody post a UY critique that is both thorough-going and well-produced. Thanks for making this video; you get real props for pulling footage from the HD remasters. Hopefully the five dozen or so UY fans in north america manage to drum up enough interest for some company to pick up the license.
I've come from the future and yes, your wish has been granted. Discotek has gotten the license to the entire series and is putting them out in nice blu ray sets. They are pretty expensive, but if you can find a sale for those, I highly recommend them.
Ranma 1/2 was basically a nominally disguised SPINOFF series of boy/girl-confused Ryuunusuke fighting daily battle-royals with her nutty dad, her platonic best-friend relationship with desk-throwing Shinobu, and a lethally amorous Lum in a qipao...Only the names were changed to protect the innocent. ;)
"WAIT LISTEN I KNOW YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHOW, NOBODY HAS, THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" Well, I started watching it about a year and a half ago and finished around the end of this school year, but I do appreciate you for trying to make more people exposed to this anime. You should also check out Rumiko Takahashi's work, such as Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku. I'd also like to mention that this is a really well made video.
I just finished Maison Ikkoku last week! It was great! :D Thank you! I might get to Ranma and even InuYasha sometime, but they're not high priority atm
Episode 169 is a little more interesting if you know it's actually a fusion of two separate manga stories. Whilst the core premise is straight from the manga, the idea that things you desire will appear in the ice blocks if they get big enough is actually taken from a separate story about Ataru stealing dream-manifesting bubblegum from Ten and trying (and failing, of course) to exploit it.
I recently watched Beautiful Dreamer on a complete whim not knowing anything about the series and I fell in love instantly even though I wasn't fully familiar with the characters. I started watching the show itself as well and it is SO!!! CHARMING! Like wow. I'll probably be watching as much of the series as possible but I'll be looking forward to these episodes especially! Thanks so much for this video and all of your great content!
Whilst episode 75, "And Then There Were None?!" is a fan-favorite, being counted as the 2nd best episode of the series in the fan-poll of the pre-finale special, and I do get the love for it, I feel there's a huge logical problem with it when you stop and think about it. Two, in fact. Firstly, it's stated in the finale that Lum's involvement was unintended, that they never expected her to come. I mean, how could they NOT expect her to come?! Lum sticks to Ataru like glue, it's not like that's uncommon knowledge! But the bigger issue... this whole thing was supposed to be a macabre psychodrama to cure Ataru of his lechery. The problem is... there is NEVER any direct correlation between the deaths and Ataru's being a pervert. There's not even an implication that Ataru cused this apparent tragedy through his skirt-chasing. You just... don't get any rational connection between the two things, which I suppose could be a meta-commentary on how stupid a plot this was amongst its in-universe concocters...
This anime is such a trip, and so funny and charming once you get into it. Glad to see you make a video about it, bringing it back to our minds even just a bit. Maison Ikkoku, Rumiko's following anime, is one that I closely relate to it, and also suggest to those that enjoy Rumiko's style of comedy.
In my opinion, the Urusei Yatsura anime was far better than the whimsical manga. Not only were certain episodes surreal, but there were also a lot of Japanese cultural references. Anyone who researches this classic tv series will be perceptive enough to spot them. 😸😄
I’m so glad I found your video! Despite being still early on this video, I was itching for a list. While I can clearly see how each episode has something to offer, it sometimes loses me at points. This is exactly what I needed and wanted. It makes me excited and wanting to watch more UT, while realizing how massive the show is inside and outside of itself. Thanks so much for this! Also lmao at the fake ad break
I'm so glad that other people know about this anime and manga. It's been one of my favourites, if not No1 for years now. The surreal humour, brilliant gags etc were all so magically good in this series. I just wish there could be even more!
12:56, from the title to the story of the episode this is based off of Agatha Christie’s mystery novel of the same title. I’m just getting into this show and I feel like since they referenced one of my fav books I’ll really like it :0
I was randomly recommended this video after just finishing the main series a few days ago. I'm currently working on the 11-episode OVA. After that just two movies and one special, and I think I'll have seen everything!
3 years late but I discovered this masterpiece of an anime/manga about a year ago, my top episodes i can think of in my head are episodes 60,82,101 and 152
At this point you're definitely my favorite creator in this community. You upload fairly consistently with every video having both infectious passion and definite skill. I don't know what to comment since you've already seen Ashita no Joe. Just that you make great content and I look forward to more.
and you're always one of my favorite commenters, thank you :) I sincerely hope you look forward to the next video, it's gonna be QUITE the banger I expect!
I appreciate this video. Like you said, it is a hard series to binge. I've only seen about the first 10 episodes in full trying to watch the series in order but it definitely a show that can be watched out of order really as long as you've seen the first episode and understand the basic premise
Thank you SO MUCH for this episode guide!!! I was really into the manga a few years ago, but I eventually drifted onto other things (but loved it no less). I'd been thinking about it recently, but couldn't find the manga ANYWHERE but KissManga and had no idea where to start with the anime. After checking out certain highlights that interested me from this list, though, I've been getting way into it again! I just finished watching all the movies ("Remember My Love's" my favorite for being so melancholic and surreal) and am checking out the OVAs (so far #10's my favorite because how could you not love an illness that gives you jewely moe bug-eyes)!
Awesome!! Yeah the manga doesn't seem TOO available, though it's very exciting that Viz Media recently licensed the manga! My favorite movie was probably Final Chapter, Movie 5. I'm planning on a second Urusei Yatsura vid in the future talking about Beautiful Dreamer.
Thank you!! I'm planning on binge watching this show again while working on my Lum cosplay this summer and it's hard with so many episodes to remember which ones I really liked when I watched it a few years back, or more specifically the number of the episode lol.. this is perfect
Seeing most of your videos, I really love how you edit them. This is a really good channel ^_^ keep up the great work. As for my comments on this series, you nailed everything about what makes Urusei Yatsura amazing ^^ I used to watch this with my dad on laserdisc back in the early to mid 90's. So your video brought me so much nostalgic memories. Thank you ^_^
Thank you so much! :D Glad I could bring back some memories, one of the reasons I made this was as a way for myself to remember some of these incredible episodes, instead of just the show as a whole in like a blur haha
Since I don't watch them In chronological order (I know I'm a mess), I decided to watch "And Then There Was None" and "Tororo Attack" both back to back as episodes, it was a really good time.
I need to watch this, though if I do then I’ll probably watch it all the way through. I’ll give it at least till episode 10 since that’s your favorite episode. Haha.
also remember the majority of episodes up to episode 21 are two part episodes, where the rest of the show is all whole episode stories, episode 10 being one of the exceptions.
I've only seen UY and I'm almost done with Ikkoku, which I love but would put under UY, just cause Ataru and Lum are so much more dynamic characters than Godai and Kyoko. I'm not sure if I want to watch her other work, I should see Ranma cause it's so iconic but I hear she got pretty discouraged with it and the anime later on. And InuYasha and Rin-ne don't seem to be the kind of series I'd enjoy from her, but I'm not opposed to trying them someday.
Only just over 20eps in but I am a big fan of Ikkoku, so I figured id give UY a try. After seeing this it makes me look forward to what's coming! Greatly put together, thanks :D
UY is probably my favorite anime series of all time, the only thing I don't like is that I can't see any episode for the first time again. Luckily I was able to get it all on DVD before they went out of print and incredibly expensive, minus the 2008 OVA (no US release). My favorites not on here are the first episode, the introduction episodes for Benten, Oyuki, and Ran, the war between Lum's mom and Mendou's mom episode, and the final episode which had cameos from Kei and Yuri from Dirty Pair, Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star, and Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku, as well as everyone else who ever showed up in the show.
I didn't include intro episodes for the reason you saw in the video (otherwise I would've included ep 1, Rei's intro and Torajima's intro), but if I only missed two other than those not bad, not bad!
Episode 101, thats one of the couples of episodes of Urusei Yatsura that I remember vividly from it airing on the French TV back in the days (ca. 1989-1991, airing as "Lamu").
Thanks! You'll probably finish LoGH in no time, lots of people resort to binge-ing it in spite of how dense it is! I think it only took me like 3 months? Hope you enjoy the rest of it! :D
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I mean if you're willing to commit to such a long show like Saiki K I think you'll enjoy yourself with this one haha
well it's always the fans that deem waifus, and idk where you got that information about Shinobu being the main. If that was a manga thing fine but the anime made no qualms about it being allllll about Lum, for good reason since I think once they introduce Mendou to the show, Shinobu's intentions and gaze get VERY muddied as to who she REALLY likes (which is why I think it's cute/fitting it winds up strongest with Kitsune! XD) But yeah Shinobu's great too, no knock on her at all, and fuck if we were getting uber-technical there's probably more alpha waifus like Ochofujin from Aim for the Ace, Oscar from RoV, Sayla from MSG (tho I'm more of a Fraw Bow fan myself) or just Cutey Honey :P
I love Urusei Yatsura! ♥ I haven't watched the anime, but I do have read the manga. Maybe one day I will :) Great list, although I was expecting to see "Lum turns into a cow" on it, for it is a really funny story.
yeah her designs are classic, I've also been enjoying her second work Maison Ikkoku, it's got the same designs but it's a romance dramedy and easily her most grounded work, which is very refreshing. The whole show is on TH-cam too!
I was obsessed with this show yet I never saw every episode. Thank you. I’m going to go back to some of the ones you picked that I haven’t yet seen. (Mostly ones that have tropes I like ;))
I think this video works well at highlighting the top 50 episodes in the series, even if I don't necessarily agree with all of them. I don't think it works as well as a top 50 for newcomers, though, since the series would be pretty confusing if someone watched only these 50 episodes. I mean, this list doesn't have the first episode, which should be, well, the first episode anyone who wants to get into this series should watch, since it establishes the basic premise. I would also give a lot more priority to character introduction episodes, because Urusei Yatsura is pretty good at telling viewers everything they need to know about the side characters in their first appearance (i.e., Rei, who is crazy about Lum, turns into a pig-cow, and loves food, or Mendou, who is stupidly rich and yet just as stupid about women as Ataru). Lastly, I cannot agree about recommending all the movies to anyone. The sixth Urusei Yatsura movie is an abomination that shouldn't have been made, and I discourage anyone from checking that out.
Personally haven't seen 6 yet, and you don't seem to recall I gave out a two cour anime's worth of episodes with character introductions (which is basically the only episodes that indicate progression, those and Lum goes to school which I also include) but I think these episodes are pretty great even without context, that's how much faith I had in recommending them, they're that special and entertaining.
Episode 91 was a HUGE let down for me, personally. The manga makes it an epic 4-chapter arc with some really crazy shenanigans, including an eating contest and a two-chapter long tag-team wrestling match between a swimsuited Lum, Ran, Shinobu and Sakura against a bunch of delinquent zoo animals. The anime instead focusing on the extended build-up to the contest and then dropping the contest entirely felt like a cop-out to me.
You're right, this episodes is good, but i prefer 10, 44, 75, 89, 94, 98, 117, 143, 157, 161, 174 and 195. There is not so much space to explain myself, but this episodes had a great influence on me. I think, UY is a gift for us. Thanks God we have so pretty and weird universe beside!
I tried watching this series before but I could not get into it. I just couldn't stand the fact that Ataru would get absolutely shit on by the supporting cast for the understandable decisions he has made in the episode. I only watched about seven episodes but I could only really get behind the first episode. I know seven episodes out of a 200 episode anime isn't giving it a fair chance but I could hardly keep watching if I only like one out of seven. I always enjoyed Lum in the episodes, she always takes the show away but each episode focuses more on Ataru and the stupid things that happen to him. I absolutely love the opening of the show. I probably only watched seven episodes in the first place so that I could hear the intro again. I wish more anime had openings that where simple yet catchy. I generally never watch an anime's intro more than once but this one is just amazing. I am glad you gave out this list, I am going to watch some of these 50 episodes too see if I should go back to watch it. But I doubt it can convince me to wade through the episodes I do not enjoy. Awww thanks again.
I get sympathizing for Ataru towards the start (tho later you make it sound like you just don't like him either? Which I also get but is kind of the point?), they really make him more of a piece of shit deserving the punishment he gets later on. Feel free to check out those episodes and then not bother with the rest if you really don't want to lol Enjoy!
I remember seeing an episode featuring Ataru and Mendo being chased by a guy with a chainsaw? im trying to look for it, It's like the only one I haven't watched
I just started watching UY a couple of weeks ago, and I'm already up past Episode 50, so it isn't that hard to do. It is indeed a wonderful show. If you just picked *any* episode at random, chances are about 80% you'll hit a good one. People say those early ones are bad (the ones that are broken down into two 12-minute stories), but I loved them all. They just need to be fast-moving and funny, not every episode needs to tug at your heartstrings. TOO much of that is bad. Yeah, sometimes Ataru is kind of a rotten, self-centered douchbag, but he's a horny teenager who's immature and doesn't really know anything about what's important in life. If you ever read the old Archie Comics, you should understand this show intuitively. I think it would be more helpful to break the show down by major characters (selecting the best episodes highlighting each), and then by the (many, many) recurring supporting characters, giving representative examples of the best episode appearances of each of them. Then someone can choose to watch more of the best episodes of the characters they find they like best.
I agree, that's why I prefaced at the start every episode is the best episode haha that's a good idea to go about it! There are a lot of "guides" to watch this show, I wanted to provide something more with my own opinion, a compilation you wouldn't get anywhere else :)

Good choice of episodes. I would personally add some episodes that I LOVE:
- Episode 25 "Fly Imo-chan!", where Ataru shows his good side with the help of Lum
- Episode 41 "Panic in Typhoon!", where a typhoon struck Moroboshi's house, and Ataru ended up saving Lum's life
- Episode 64 "Goodbye Season", where Megane, Shinobu and everybody else think that Ataru is going to give up on Lum, with consequences.
- Episode 66 "Happy Birthday My Darling", where the relationship between Ataru and Lum faces a serious challenge caused by a misunderstanding and their immaturity. It reveals how much the alien girl is important for the terran boy
- Episode 71 "Shinobu's Cinderella Story", a crime fiction story centered on Shinobu and her misfortune with men
- Episode 89 "Lum and Ataru - A Night only for Two", where Ataru and Lum end up sleeping together on the same bed.

Insanity.
my fav episode, it really touch your feels
When I first got into the show I binged over at least 50 Episodes before deciding to watch them out of order. It was much more easy and relaxing for me.
I'd have done that too if I had a better way of keeping track lol
episode 44 will always stick with me the most. really shows how ataru needs lum in his life
don't forget the "Kokorobosoina" background music, and Ataru's crying 💔
@@CaribouCoon The part where he does the mental math on his relationship with Lum if he does anything is great too.
What episode is it
You don't even know how perfect this video is...I'm serious you don't even know...(you probably know..)
I am like 3 episodes and 3 movies into this series and I was ready to give up on it in favour of Ranma and Ikkoku..
With this list however, I might be able to ACTUALLY finish my Rumiko Takahashi list before I die. This is amazing!
Honestly...THANK YOU!
YAY! Yeah I love it, I'm close to finishing Ikkoku too and that's also super good. Not totally sure I'll watch all her works tho...
You're lucky that you're my favorite anime analysis TH-camr CC, otherwise I wouldn't willingly sit through 40 minutes of a video about a show I don't (yet) care about
You're a gem and please keep making content
HELL YEAH thank you so much! Definitely, this is a risky video for me to make cause it's a TOP LIST and SUPER LONG on a show hardly anyone cares about, I was lowkey hoping I established a brand of quality that I could trust my subs to check it out haha Next vid should be a bit juicier, also pretty long ;)
The key word being "YET". ;)
I was still in the underground birth-of-anime college clubs when AnimEigo first started selling the UY sub VHS's by mail, and it was like when Monty Python first hit. (Which I remember too, btw.)
Honestly it is way better than modern generic school rom-coms
Not only Urusei Yatsura features some fun moments, it has great music, great animation which is so dynamic, slap stick comedy, cool action moments
Great settings and some weird & creative moments that you won’t get them in your typical rom-com
So i recommend everyone to watch every single episode of it
Also the movies…bruh the movies are something else specially beautiful dreamer which is a stand-alone masterpiece
It does my heart well to see somebody post a UY critique that is both thorough-going and well-produced.
Thanks for making this video; you get real props for pulling footage from the HD remasters. Hopefully the five dozen or so UY fans in north america manage to drum up enough interest for some company to pick up the license.
amen! Thank you! :D
I've come from the future and yes, your wish has been granted.
Discotek has gotten the license to the entire series and is putting them out in nice blu ray sets. They are pretty expensive, but if you can find a sale for those, I highly recommend them.
Ooh this'll be a good walk down memory lane
Always wanted to give Urusei Yatsura a shot, love Ranma and Maison Ikkoku :)
Alright!! I've been watching Ikkoku, it's great! Looking forward to Ranma at some point too :)
Ranma 1/2 was basically a nominally disguised SPINOFF series of boy/girl-confused Ryuunusuke fighting daily battle-royals with her nutty dad, her platonic best-friend relationship with desk-throwing Shinobu, and a lethally amorous Lum in a qipao...Only the names were changed to protect the innocent. ;)
my favorite series
This anime has top tier comedy compared to recent animes nowadays
"WAIT LISTEN I KNOW YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHOW, NOBODY HAS, THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" Well, I started watching it about a year and a half ago and finished around the end of this school year, but I do appreciate you for trying to make more people exposed to this anime. You should also check out Rumiko Takahashi's work, such as Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku. I'd also like to mention that this is a really well made video.
I just finished Maison Ikkoku last week! It was great! :D
Thank you!
One of the best anime ever made
I recently watched Beautiful Dreamer on a complete whim not knowing anything about the series and I fell in love instantly even though I wasn't fully familiar with the characters. I started watching the show itself as well and it is SO!!! CHARMING! Like wow. I'll probably be watching as much of the series as possible but I'll be looking forward to these episodes especially! Thanks so much for this video and all of your great content!
Goddamnit. Now i want to watch the original anime bc i love the reboot so much
Enjoy!! I'm pretty curious about the remake myself
I've seen this show 2 times now. Love it and it's sad people don't see it because it's old. It's still sooo good.
It has been many years since I last binged on this series. Good to see some of these episodes again and I may have to dig it all out again some time.
I'm watching the remake, 13 episodes in, and so many of these have been used!
I have been looking for a video on my favorite show just like this FOREVER. Thank you so much!!
12:56, from the title to the story of the episode this is based off of Agatha Christie’s mystery novel of the same title. I’m just getting into this show and I feel like since they referenced one of my fav books I’ll really like it :0
i don't remember how i got into urusei yatsura cause i was so young but im damn glad i got into it
I was randomly recommended this video after just finishing the main series a few days ago. I'm currently working on the 11-episode OVA. After that just two movies and one special, and I think I'll have seen everything!
also this show has one of my favorite soundtracks of all time
Progressing through and seeing this list, it’s interesting to see what the reboot has done. I’ve been watching both!
3 years late but I discovered this masterpiece of an anime/manga about a year ago, my top episodes i can think of in my head are episodes 60,82,101 and 152
Where did you watch them? I would definitely like to watch it in order.
Watching this video _after_ finishing 195 episodes of the series. Gotta say I agree with the opening statement.
At this point you're definitely my favorite creator in this community. You upload fairly consistently with every video having both infectious passion and definite skill. I don't know what to comment since you've already seen Ashita no Joe. Just that you make great content and I look forward to more.
and you're always one of my favorite commenters, thank you :)
I sincerely hope you look forward to the next video, it's gonna be QUITE the banger I expect!
Urusei Yatsura is what all true warriors Sail the Seven Seas for.
I have already committed/condemned myself to watching the whole thing, but this collection gives me confidence that I have made a sound decision.
Episode 100 is my all time favorite. I laughed through the whole episode.
I have all the Series, movies and ova for this anime
I grew up watching this show and reading the manga. Still my fav anime & manga in my heart. Damn.
144 ataru is so unliked the words "IN YOUR DREAMS" literally apply and you immediately regret that
Since I don't watch them In chronological order (I know I'm a mess), I decided to watch "And Then There Was None" and "Tororo Attack" both back to back as episodes, it was a really good time.
Doooope! Haha
This video totally convinced me to watch the entire thing lol
Good
I need to watch this, though if I do then I’ll probably watch it all the way through. I’ll give it at least till episode 10 since that’s your favorite episode. Haha.
also remember the majority of episodes up to episode 21 are two part episodes, where the rest of the show is all whole episode stories, episode 10 being one of the exceptions.
Was just thinking about watching this show! Great video as always.
What is your take on Rumiko Takahashi and her other works ? How would you rank them in your personal order ?
Great! Happy to hear you like Ikkoku too!
I always skip filler so I'll treat this nice video as a list to know what to watch when starting this.
You're too good for this world
Great video, I'll probably give those episodes a watch once I'm done with LoGH (however long that takes, I'm practically addicted to it right now)
Thanks! You'll probably finish LoGH in no time, lots of people resort to binge-ing it in spite of how dense it is! I think it only took me like 3 months? Hope you enjoy the rest of it! :D
My best is Beautiful Dreamer. I didn't know until very recently that it had been directed by Mamoru Oshii.
Seeing you upload always makes me really excited
thank you so much! ^_^
you patroned just today didn't you? you can totes join the discord if you're on there!
I really enjoyed Beautiful Dreamers, alright Shabes you convinced after I finish Saiki K Ill start this show. Its not for you, its for Lum
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I mean if you're willing to commit to such a long show like Saiki K I think you'll enjoy yourself with this one haha
Always for Lum (probably idk if she's top tier waifu in this show)
oh EASILY. It's no contest. She's the ORIGINAL waifu!
well it's always the fans that deem waifus, and idk where you got that information about Shinobu being the main.
Thanks for uploading this video, it's my favorite series and the one that got me involved in anime.
That space octopus was completely unfair in episode 130.
We're getting a remake which will be around 50 episodes long!
I love Urusei Yatsura! ♥ I haven't watched the anime, but I do have read the manga. Maybe one day I will :)
Great list, although I was expecting to see "Lum turns into a cow" on it, for it is a really funny story.
Boi, i'v seen this when i was young
And nice to see you're back
Finally a new video I was about to die from the "no new caribou content" disease
next vid should be out much sooner HOPEFULLY lol
Lol I love this show so much. Thanks for giving it a spotlight. I'm going to go back and watch all of these episodes Lmao
The fact that the BBC didn't dub the rest of the series is disappointing
It's unironically kind of good
Reminds me of Ranma and Lupin so I think I could dig this.
It's the same author as Ranma actually! This is her first work.
That art style is so iconic! I love it :3
yeah her designs are classic, I've also been enjoying her second work Maison Ikkoku, it's got the same designs but it's a romance dramedy and easily her most grounded work, which is very refreshing. The whole show is on TH-cam too!
I was obsessed with this show yet I never saw every episode. Thank you. I’m going to go back to some of the ones you picked that I haven’t yet seen. (Mostly ones that have tropes I like ;))
76 is one of my favorites.
I've seen a dozen episodes of this already. This was so hilarious
The anime instead focusing on the extended build-up to the contest and then dropping the contest entirely felt like a cop-out to me.
you deserve more subscribers
thank you haha
Nice video :) Excited to see someone talking about Urusei Yatsura. I hope it won't be a long wait for your next video.
Just ignore that kenji guy.
Thank you so much!
Episode 195 -- the series finale would make your list the TOP 51.
Wow, your editing is great!! I hope you'll hit 10.000 soon!!
Thank you! I hope so too :)
So far I’ve watched 1-11 with no issue, tho I skipped last bit of the dinosaurs. Otherwise it’s great
Need more episode guides like these
Has anyone come here from Monstro's video of his favorite episodes from Urusei Yatsura?
What do you think of the remake
Rei was screaming REEEEEEEEEEEE!!! before it was cool.
Damn this was 4 years ago 😂 hope they put it in the reboot and ataru birthday my fav
ok im gonna start watching this after im done with dr slump.
Episode 78 was the best episode.
Yeah 89 and 161 were def up for consideration but didn't quite make it. 163 being another one for me. But hey at least I had 50% on there haha
Thats why i shared my thoughts lol
Ironically, we getting an anime reboot for this series so we gonna clap cheeks 😆
Gosh those aftereffects animations must have taken you a long time. That video deserves so much views.
watch it from start to finish, then watch it all over again.
Agreed
I remember seeing an episode featuring Ataru and Mendo being chased by a guy with a chainsaw? im trying to look for it, It's like the only one I haven't watched
nvm i didn't watch far enough
Thx for uploading
Much welcome haha
Wait, if Ataru gets split in two; wouldn't it be bad and even worse halves?
Wonder if this video going blown up because 2022 version is coming out soon
