I believe myself to have good network fundamentals, having worked with Cisco and Juniper equipment for the past 6 years and moving on to Mikrotik as the most pervasive vendor in our network, so these videos have been very help in just getting a peek in how Mikrotik thinks/displays things compared to other router OS/CLIs

Once you get used to ROS and its quirks you will really start to enjoy working on it even more so than those big vendors. I come from a similar background and I can tell you now I have made MikroTiks do things that I would require additional hardware or licensing on a different vendor.
Although there are other things that Cisco/Juniper definitely still does better than MikroTik

i follow well with your lectures . my only issue and were i get lost is . when you use CLI instead of using winbox tool . that get me pissed off as a learner . though you teach good but avoid using command line to confuse us please 🙏🙏

Mangle, mangle, mangle! We need videos about mangle! How to mark packets and forward them to a particular tunel, interface, etc would be nice

One of the best youtube tutorials, i like how you are focused to explain how something works. That is the diference between good and bad teacher. Other tutorials shows how to make some configuration, but doesn't show or explain WHY this configuration works. And in my opinion that is the most important, how can you make configuration if you don't know how and why it's working

I switched to 6.48.6 in eve-ng, with 7.1.1 i couldn't get router to ping my office router or to pc on eve-ng have access to the internet... With 6.48.6 as soon as i masquearade traffic going out of ether1 everything works... Also routing table in 7.1.1 no longer have perf-src...

Yeah v7 is a completely different beast, I've also seen some issues with v7 and how the NICs translate on EVE-NG. Example is if you patch something into Ether1 the MikroTik thinks it's Ether3. Need to switch Qemu nic to something else for that to translate properly. I will be doing some v7 routing stuff after the course though since I want to cover v7 seperately.
