When you first post your character ArtFight creates them with the one image (plus thumbnail) but to add more images after go to edit character, click the image tab, and scroll down if it’s not on screen to the area for adding more images. You can add up to 6 total references per character and each can have a custom thumbnail. Make sure to save all changes before reviewing the character page. When selecting the main image and the thumbnail in the editor- the main image will be represented by its thumbnail but will display as the full image when visitors click on that character. Featured Characters on your team template come from the characters you own. Sometimes people will choose to feature a variety of character types (human, monster, mech, etc), or sometimes they choose their favorites, its up to each person who they want to feature. 💙

Hi! That's a great question. We each get 1 name change year for free, and it wont affect the attacks you have received, since those are attached to each characters ID number rather than your profile name. You can also switch names mid art fight. I hope this helps!
You can make an account without participating. there’s no minimum activity check or mandatory submission requirement, some players make accounts but then choose not to play that year - some start for the first time in subsequent years, while others might not start at all. It’s completely up to each individual
I uploaded my first oc yesterday, today when I went to check it was gone. Yes, I’m absolutely, completely sure I uploaded it. I think it might have something to do with all the trafic that came with the event. So, is there a way to fix it and does this happen every year?
I haven’t seen that happen before. I just checked your profile and the character doesn’t appear to be there on my screen either. I’d wait for the traffic to calm today then check again. If it’s still missing, try resubmitting. If that doesn’t save definitely submit a help ticket! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll try to help the best I can 😊
Hi! It’s my first year and I’ve been having trouble inserting a profile picture. Every picture I try to put there isn’t accepted because there’s “too many pixels” even though I made one with 67px67p
That is odd, it just has to be 100x100 pixels or smaller as a .gif, .jpg, or .png file. Do you know what your DPI is? Maybe try using a lower DPI (if you’re using 600 or 300 try 150 or 75 dpi). I’m not sure this will fix it, but worth a try. It might also just be a fluke with the website that fixes itself later
I have not been able to find any answers for the one question I have about art fight! The themes!! Do I have to draw the theme for the opposite team, or..? So like, this year I would love to draw the wither theme, so what team should I choose??

Hi Evvy! Was this a mass attack? Those show up for the main target but then go into the other characters attack tab on the character page rather than on the players main page - at least in past years. If it’s not a mass attack, please check that the To: link under your artwork lists the right receiver and that the target character link is also redirecting to the right character. Sometimes if we mistype those character ID numbers when submitting they can send to another person by accident

When you exit out and revisit the site is it still blank? Sometimes this happens when a webpage is getting too much traffic (so if it’s coming and going that may be why). If it won’t show up at all, I’m not sure what that might be. Perhaps the url name is missing a character maybe try re-adding it; or if the original web location file is corrupt or maybe was accidentally deleted that would create a blank square. In that case maybe try reuploading the image to your host site and link that one to your profile. I hope this helps!

This is my first year of art fight so I'm not sure how it all works but when I add the link to the bio, I can see the photo but when I submit it and view my profile it only gives me the link to it, and I can't see the photo now but if I go back into editing its there?
That sounds really strange. I know for some things like updating thumbnails it takes time to go into effect so it may just need a little time to show up.
Good question 😊 you can only add one image when you create the character, but can add more when you edit them. Click edit on the characters page, then go to the images tab, scroll down to the bottom where they have an option to upload more. Up to six max per character ☺️
Not at all, it’s a completely at your own pace game. Some players add one drawing per summer sometimes, and some years they don’t even pick a team. It’s 100% ok to do as much as you want to anytime ☺️

There is a way but its not with a reply button, you would leave a normal comment on your character page, but "tag" the person you are replying to by copying their user name (where it was hyperlinked) and pasting it into the comment. You'll know it works when the name shows up as a hyperlink. Here is an example on one of my pages: artfight.net/attack/1247566.starring-savour-the-tiefling-druid-chef
I’d need more info to know for sure, but try checking the file type and sizes for the ones it will let you upload and compare to the one it won’t let you upload. Maybe the pfp is corrupt try saving as or screenshot a new copy of it then upload that version? Hopefully one of these helps solve the problem 💕
If you bookmarked them, check the bookmarks, if you followed them check your follows, and if you saved the character by name only; the only way I know of to search for that is to become a site donor and unlock the search function. Hopefully this helps 🙏
Attacks made this year can be deleted by hitting 'edit' and then selecting the red delete button on the top right. Previous years attacks cannot currently be deleted right now. The official FAQ states: "Only during July when the event is active, you can delete attacks via the edit button on your attack. August-June/Off-season: We currently don't allow attack deletion off-season, but are working towards it. However, if you don't like an attack, you can change the thumbnail to something else as an easy solution. An example is this rainy.s-ul.eu/9c5TwUKT.png!" hope this helps!

Perhaps the url name is missing a character maybe try re-adding it; or if the original web location file is corrupt or maybe was accidentally deleted or moved, like into a new folder. In that case maybe try copying address in its new location or reuploading the image to your host site and link that one to your profile. Or maybe try opening image in new tab, then copying that new tabs address and see if maybe that will work. 🤞I hope this helps!

try opening image in new tab, then copying that new tabs address and see if maybe that will work. 🤞

This is my first year of art fight so I'm not sure how it all works but when I add the link to the bio, I can see the photo but when I submit it and view my profile it only gives me the link to it, and I can't see the photo now but if I go back into editing its there?
That sounds really strange. I know for some things like updating thumbnails it takes time to go into effect so it may just need a little time to show up.

Good question 😊 you can only add one image when you create the character, but can add more when you edit them. Click edit on the characters page, then go to the images tab, scroll down to the bottom where they have an option to upload more. Up to six max per character ☺️

Not at all, it’s a completely at your own pace game. Some players add one drawing per summer sometimes, and some years they don’t even pick a team. It’s 100% ok to do as much as you want to anytime ☺️

Is there a way to answer comments left on your characters pages?
There is a way but its not with a reply button, you would leave a normal comment on your character page, but "tag" the person you are replying to by copying their user name (where it was hyperlinked) and pasting it into the comment. You'll know it works when the name shows up as a hyperlink. Here is an example on one of my pages: artfight.net/attack/1247566.starring-savour-the-tiefling-druid-chef
I can't put my profile picture, but if I try with other picture it works. What do I do?
I’d need more info to know for sure, but try checking the file type and sizes for the ones it will let you upload and compare to the one it won’t let you upload. Maybe the pfp is corrupt try saving as or screenshot a new copy of it then upload that version? Hopefully one of these helps solve the problem 💕

i kinda skipped through this video but IS there a way to search up a specific user? I just finished an attack and i need their character id!
If you bookmarked them, check the bookmarks, if you followed them check your follows, and if you saved the character by name only; the only way I know of to search for that is to become a site donor and unlock the search function. Hopefully this helps 🙏

So am i allowed to make charcters but just like not for the event bc i dont wanna get banned my first day
You can make as many characters as you want, but cannot draw other peoples characters until the event starts (when the countdown timer ends) 😊

How do you delete an old attack you did?
Attacks made this year can be deleted by hitting 'edit' and then selecting the red delete button on the top right. Previous years attacks cannot currently be deleted right now. The official FAQ states: "Only during July when the event is active, you can delete attacks via the edit button on your attack. August-June/Off-season: We currently don't allow attack deletion off-season, but are working towards it. However, if you don't like an attack, you can change the thumbnail to something else as an easy solution. An example is this rainy.s-ul.eu/9c5TwUKT.png!" hope this helps!

Hi GhosTeall! If you know who's page you're looking for, here's one way to find them: first go to your page, then edit the link to replace your username after the squiggly mark with their username, and hit enter. They did have a beta search in a previous year but I’m not sure if it’s coming back or not

Your profile link is artfight.net/~ plus your user name, so for example; mine is artfight.net/~PerryPictures
If you know your friends profile names you can add them after the squiggly mark to get to their page. If you are looking for a search function, they do have one but it’s for donors only, so I recommend checking out the donors section of the FAQ for more info on that ☺️ I hope this helps!

The image adding isn't working, please send help! 🥲
Sometimes this happens when a webpage is getting too much traffic. Or If it’s hosted on a private site, like a private IG it may not show. Here are some possible solutions. Perhaps the url name is missing a character maybe try re-adding it; or if the original web location file is corrupt or maybe was accidentally deleted or moved, like into a new folder. In that case maybe try copying address in its new location or reuploading the image to your host site and link that one to your profile. Or maybe try opening image in new tab, then copying that new tabs address and see if maybe that will work. 🤞I hope this helps!
