I'm not sure why so many people say that this is a "good idea". At this speed you will burn a bit / drill in "no time". There is a reason why all drills have a speed reduction gears.

great to say that there would be a way to improve it by adding an inverter for the rotation of the motor and that would make a good screwdriver / screwdriver with a good lipo and voila

Really cool, consider adding a Gearbox so You reduce the speed slightly and increase the torque, also, instead of the servo tester an Arduino with some code could do the job....
Is cheap Arduino uno r3 capable for replacing Servo Tester?

It's a nice design, but it has some very important flaws. The mais one is the back of the motor rotating exposed that does't allow you to aply pressure and is very dangerous. Also, the motor rely on only one tiny bearing to stay working, considering brushless motors are very suceptible to missaligned pieces. it will drill some holes in soft wood, anything beyond that is just not going to work.

Some comments:
- lack of gearbox: making me wonder how much torque you get without it.
- cost of motor alone is almost same as a complete drill from brand like Parkside (LIDL) which has motor (though not brushless) plus gearbox included.

@@PTechMedia actually to make drill is not just slap motor to the chuck..but it actullay consist of gear box. which this design lack...10-20k RPM is good for RC car which what this motor mostly use for. Even RC car still have gear box. Smaller motor tend to have high RPM but less torque. But gearbox make those loses to torque. Gearbox convert those high RPM to torque by lowering its RPM and converting those energy to bigger torque which is what drill is needed. Drill need torque to drill especially when you tightening screw or loosen the screw. Believe me this thing wont even move the tight screw..even with with 40-50nM some screw are so hard to loosen or tighten...same principle with lathe or etc, most of those application so much in needed for torque not RPM alone. And most of bigger motor tend to have high torque with lower RPM. Because bigger motor mostly use in those application for lathe and etc. so you wont need much complicated gear conversion rather than just use belt system with some adjustment. This project is great for DIY to build but not for practical use, cheap cordless drill is still way more convenient because have torque conversion which is what important for cordless drill.

This thing will burn or broke under heavy load conditions.. Try it on different things ;) like screws.. And i m tellin that cause of its maximum rpm..
no shit sherlock it doesn't have a gearbox. it goes 30k rpm. it'd be great for a PCB Drillpress though

The motor is very expensive! Only with the money from the Motor I can buy a whole 600W Drill with warranty from my local shops.
The point is that the experiment is being shared. We can watch this and learn.
For me, this shows why gears are needed - this drill is too fast and low-speed torque is needed in many situations.

No bro this type of motor have huge torque this is why this type of motor used in power full electric skate board without any gear box . this motor kv rating is lower than 200kv

Start small and I'm sure it will. Even my professional battery hammer drill should only be used to still up to 8mm deep in bricks... (Although it often goes a good 50mm)

Раз уж потратил почти 2 килорубля на мотор, мог бы и потратить еще 1,5 на планетарный редуктор под вал 5мм, на выходе 8мм. И ЗУ надо было встроить, когда-нибудь ошибешься и перепутаешь полярность.

Безщеточные стоят от 150$ в лучшем случае, правда, со всеми прибамбасами, реверсом, поавноугасающей подсветкой 2-3-скоростным редуктором и противоударным эргономичным корпусом с индикаторами разряда и т.п.
Но и приводить в пример дешёвые китайские поделки на копеечных моторах на угольных щётках как-то странно.
Здесь просто показали концепт. Дальше можно совершенствовать в сторону удобства, недостижимого для готовых вариантов, например, напечатав на 3Д принтере корпус, можно получить сверхлегкий, сверхкороткий аппарат для узкоспециализированных целей.

No. There is no gearbox or impact mechanism involved. Direct drive off the outrunner shaft to the chuck.

ну за 3000р на безщёточный шурик на литии не найти,а вот щёточный можно. плюс здесь двигатель очень быстро выйдет из строя, так как идёт прямое давление на него, без редуктора, что недопустимо
Если уж ты споришь - специально для тебя посчитал - 4 косаря без учета зарядника. Безколлекторные шурики начинаются от 4.9 в полном боекомплекте с гарантией и само собой на литии. А уж с обычными моторчиками за эти деньги - ну просто ассортимент.
