I am only 60 years old , but I truly remember going downtown, with my Beloved Mother. Grandmother, Great Aunts. Aunt, cousins to shop in Washington DC, it was the most wonderful time in my life, so many happy memories of A time gone by, Thank God for my memories of those happy days how they tug at my heart.😢

Yes those were the days the clubs or to full.. But now for example out here in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and elsewhere are still ghost towns after 1 am. The only fine about two dozen people in a venue. It's never crowded like it used to be in these places people afraid to get close to each sort of.. Bay Ridge was really happening a few years ago. People will come all the way from Jersey. No more all we got a lot of his dirty streets with less people out I don't get it
Just look at how everyone is dressed up and civilized acting - no homeless people, no strange behavior, no trash sitting on the sidewalks or street just people who know how to behave in public. That is what I was brought with and so I know how to do it myself. God how I love the calmness and safe feelings this gave everyone.
