It puts a smile on my face when I see these videos. Just one of the many reasons Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band. They actually interact with their fans and let them do awesome shit like this. I love it
I don't understand all the metal elitists that always slam A7X. I'm not a huge fan but I do like some of their songs but they really are a cool ass bunch of guys and they're really nice too. How many bands do this? People talk shit about them but if they were really as shitty as people say MIKE MOTHERFUCKING PORTNOY wouldn't have stepped up to help them out when The Rev died, shit...

Who cares if he slipped up a few times, It may be a very easy song, but if I stood in front of that many people playing besides Avenged Sevenfold I'd probably fuck it up aswell from beeing nervous! :|
Maybe he sucks at guitar maybe he doesnt either way he didn't have click tracks to keep tempo nor could he hear where they were at so you really don't have to be a douche about it, and also he was doing fine till the headset fell off
Sleight Obsession oh what band are you in? Im sure with your huge fame youd jump up in front of thousands and play perfectly huh. Shut the fuck up pig. Kid gets on stage no warm up probably nervous as fuck and playing with ax7 on stage. Fuck off

It's the truth but you guys are just too blind to see it. Listen to 'This Means War' and then listen to Metallica's 'Sad But True'. Avenged Sevenfold have ripped massively. You can easily tell. They have ripped them off so close to the point of a lawsuit.
Max Scardanelli Pretty sure Hail to the King is a tribute to bands that influenced them, therefore many of the songs on that album sound like other bands.
I think Steve did a pretty good job up there. I would have been scared out of my mind trying to play with a band like A7X in front of that many people. (pure stage fright) Loved how ***** mohawk looked at this concert. Arin did a great job also. Sure, well all miss the Rev, but Arin has done an amazing job, considering he was thrown into a style of music he wasn't used to playing. Over all, a great concert with one of the world's best bands!
Rhonda Minor I've learned so many of their songs and I play them every day, but I'd forget how to play them if I was up there with them. That's a hell of a lot of pressure playing lead for one of the greatest metal bands out there. He fucking killed it.
I probably watch this video monthly. This is incredible. Love that Steve got to shred and showcase his talent on stage with a legendary band. A7X is the Queen of our generation. Thank you Steve!
YEAH. Lol. He was either really drunk. Or exhausted. I ssy exhausted and Tired. His eyes say it. But funny how he goes up to Sing!. Syns mind: "I wanted a break, I thought my hands were going to fall off. But! I still want to be in this Song!." Lol.
Man what a fucking awesome experience for this guy. Class act band. I was a huge A7X fan throughout middle school but sort of moved on to other stuff in high school. Started playing guitar in middle school as well but it was after my love for a7x was going down (not for bad reasons, I just started listening to other genres more) so I never sat down and learned any of their songs on guitar. Now in my 20s I'm going back and learning some of my favorites from them and the guitar parts are always so much fun to play and sound great! It is a dream of mine to be called up on stage to play with a band, so I am currently living vicariously through this guy lol. So glad to see the band being so kind, generous, and caring to/about their fans. This undoubtedly made this guy's whole year, maybe more. Glad to see a band doing this sort of thing. And he did a great job to boot!
I love how gates is just lying on the stage chillin with a red solo cup like, cool i get a break. And then he just gives the chicken wing like whatever just wing it 😂😂😂😂 This is so fucking awesome like damn
This is super cool. I do remember spending a good, 40-50 hours going back and back through every song on the album and learning to play about 90% of it by ear in high school. Awesome stuff man.
Did you ever compose your own music? I always tell people when they tell me they can play this and that then i tell them can you write something similar. Not bashing you, just saying you obviously know your way around the instrument ,just curious
Honestly I can't think of too many bands where the lead guitarist would step out of the spotlight so a fan could live out his dream. Props to Gates to and A7X
This was the coolest thing I've seen a band do. He totally made this kids night. Shit, it made my night watching him jam. Awesome job kid. I love avenge sevenfold, their one of my favorites, now I know why.
I was actually nervous for him during that last part and he fucking NAILED it bro!!! playing in front of thousands of fans and your idols on stage? That is fucking sick man kudos to this man right here
Ivan Moody from FFDP pulled every kid on stage to sing with them for a song, at a concert in Wichita it was pretty cool. Love when bands know how to interact with the crowd like that.
Ilove this! That kid did amazing and he had to have been nervous as hell! It's so cool how supportive he guys are of him, seemingly making him feel like he's one of them! This was so incredible on so many levels'
I feel him for being so nervous. I’ve played on stages so many times and it kinda makes me nervous in a sense where it makes my hands kinda weak. It kind of affects my playing skills. He still did amazing tho. I’m honestly proud.

Man I was smiling ear to ear from start to finish. He absolutely killed it!! The bands entire energy and excitement for him made it even better
What a performance.
I've never seen a random crowd playing on a Band stage this good. Awesome Band as well for recognizing the kid's talent.
Not to downplay this at all, but look up KISS GUY FOO FIGHTERS for an unreal crowd interaction video
4:35 synyster laying down on the stairs 😂
hahaha
carlo vera he was like that the entire song
🤣
3:13
It puts a smile on my face when I see these videos. Just one of the many reasons Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band. They actually interact with their fans and let them do awesome shit like this. I love it
I don't understand all the metal elitists that always slam A7X. I'm not a huge fan but I do like some of their songs but they really are a cool ass bunch of guys and they're really nice too. How many bands do this? People talk shit about them but if they were really as shitty as people say MIKE MOTHERFUCKING PORTNOY wouldn't have stepped up to help them out when The Rev died, shit...
I think a lot of people get put off by their fanbase, which a lot of them are angsty teens. But honestly, fuck that, the music's good.
PhunkyPhishPhan its mainly some of their fans, they did tours with "emo" bands when they first started off, and alot of their fans are people who listen to mcr and bvb
C Marshall Listening to MCR doesn’t automatically make you emo. BVB, on the other hand...
@@CTheRevillusionS I like BVB but I'm not emo so music doesn't make your lifestyle. Lifestyle makes your music
Goolash a7x is way older than bvb and shit like that
Now he can say he's fucking played with Avenged Sevenfold.
Michael Valentine absolutely he is 😂
Michael Valentine he's also got proof
"I was the lead guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold" nobody ever has to know that it was only for 7 minutes lol
This dude couldn't even hear how hard he was slaying it.
Who cares if he slipped up a few times, It may be a very easy song, but if I stood in front of that many people playing besides Avenged Sevenfold I'd probably fuck it up aswell from beeing nervous! :|
Stian Berg Same... Plus i almost always play sitting down so standing would probably throw me off as well.
Stian Berg exactly bro. If I was on stage with A7X in front of a live audience I'd probably fuck up twinkle twinkle little star
thwinkle twingler letter...fuck
Oh for sure. I couldn't even imagine how much I'd shit myself playing on stage with the band in front o 10,000 people if not more
Lol bullshit this is an easy song. The solo might be easy, but the whole song isn't a walk in the park.
3:43 Syn's reaction when the guy slips up lol
Maybe he sucks at guitar maybe he doesnt either way he didn't have click tracks to keep tempo nor could he hear where they were at so you really don't have to be a douche about it, and also he was doing fine till the headset fell off
Not to mention he was also in front on thousands of people some he knew
I'd probably fuck up 12 times playing mary had a little lamb in that situation
Sleight Obsession oh what band are you in? Im sure with your huge fame youd jump up in front of thousands and play perfectly huh. Shut the fuck up pig. Kid gets on stage no warm up probably nervous as fuck and playing with ax7 on stage. Fuck off
Sleight Obsession man you're a miserable douche aren't you?
He even got to walk off stage with them. That was so awesome.
I went to this concert too and it was amazing!!! I love Avenged Sevenfold even more now :D This Steve dude kicked ass and he's so lucky to play Synyster Gate's guitar on the stage with M Shadows! A dream come true for this guy, keep rocking man. Sevenfold fan for life! \m/
Even though Avenged Sevenfold songs on guitar require next no talent at all to play them as they're pretty much Metallica rip-offs.
Max Scardanelli TROLL
It's the truth but you guys are just too blind to see it. Listen to 'This Means War' and then listen to Metallica's 'Sad But True'. Avenged Sevenfold have ripped massively. You can easily tell. They have ripped them off so close to the point of a lawsuit.
Max Scardanelli Pretty sure Hail to the King is a tribute to bands that influenced them, therefore many of the songs on that album sound like other bands.
yaaay i like how zacky still joined up w him like he does w syn
when a7x playing unholy confessions
anyone: time to headbang
gates: time to sleep
tired😂
Kebahagiaan terindah bisa main di panggung bersama sang idola!! You ROCK!!
That's one of the most kick ass things I've ever seen. Much respect to A7X and especially to Gates for letting a dude take his place xD
9 years later and this still makes me happy! Today I cried watching Steve from Philly live a dream of mine 🤘🏾
3:34 you can see his confidence boosting after Shadows pat him on the back
Wholesome
I probably watch this video monthly. This is incredible. Love that Steve got to shred and showcase his talent on stage with a legendary band. A7X is the Queen of our generation. Thank you Steve!
I love how Syn just lays there like nothing is happening XD
YEAH. Lol. He was either really drunk. Or exhausted. I ssy exhausted and Tired. His eyes say it.
But funny how he goes up to Sing!.
Syns mind: "I wanted a break, I thought my hands were going to fall off. But! I still want to be in this Song!." Lol.
Artz Female Haha yeah I also belive that he was tired or the show must've sucked . Haha
Honestly I don't think he's ever gave a shit
Bob Saget Hhaha I gues you're right
Syn sleeping
observe Syn at 4:37 in his natural habitat
😂😂😂😂
This is prpbably the coolest thing I've seen from both an A list band, and a random fan in the crowd that happened to be a solid shredder
Syn's like fuck it, I'll take a nap while I wait. x)
right!!?! i saw that and laughed
that made the video great lol
"Sorry about those Linkin Park guitarist headphones" LOL!
4:39 He even sang the Syn's vocal part :D "Meant to sin"
Underrated comment holy shit!! I didn't even notice that the first time
7:46 Syn looks so proud and shocked at the same time.
I'm not a fan of this group but that's a really neat thing they've done here in allowing a fan to play their song with them.
band, not group
ReMiXNeoNZz Same difference.
And then he just gives the chicken wing like whatever just wing it 😂😂😂😂
This is so fucking awesome like damn
This is super cool. I do remember spending a good, 40-50 hours going back and back through every song on the album and learning to play about 90% of it by ear in high school. Awesome stuff man.
Did you ever compose your own music?
I always tell people when they tell me they can play this and that then i tell them can you write something similar.
Not bashing you, just saying you obviously know your way around the instrument ,just curious
kid: having the day of his life
shadows: dude this bro is sick
syn: lol finally someone to do my job
That was incredible that they picked a guy out of the crowd. He did an amazing job to. Something he'll never forget!
4:08 "Gates ur fiered" XDD
This was so fucking satisfying to watch. Love them. Great job too, especially for how nervous he was.
Imagine synyster gates clapping for you after you played his own guitar ..
Honestly one of the biggest reasons why they are and will forever be my favorite band, they always do this kind of stuff it’s awesome!
I was actually nervous for him during that last part and he fucking NAILED it bro!!! playing in front of thousands of fans and your idols on stage? That is fucking sick man kudos to this man right here
Matt is great not only a brilliant singer and frontman but also as a person. If only more bands would do what the guys at A7X here do with their fans.
I love that they get fans up on stage to play and sing. Don't know of any other bands that do that.
Green day and my chemical romance
Ivan Moody from FFDP pulled every kid on stage to sing with them for a song, at a concert in Wichita it was pretty cool. Love when bands know how to interact with the crowd like that.
Foo fighters and green day
linkin park
Steel panther do some funny ones
Ilove this! That kid did amazing and he had to have been nervous as hell! It's so cool how supportive he guys are of him, seemingly making him feel like he's one of them! This was so incredible on so many levels'
Oh man this is damn sick. Mistakes or no mistake, to be able to play in front of a crowd, with the band, just amazing man. Good job!
I feel him for being so nervous. I’ve played on stages so many times and it kinda makes me nervous in a sense where it makes my hands kinda weak. It kind of affects my playing skills. He still did amazing tho. I’m honestly proud.
Thanks for the nice words. This was his first ever time playing live, but he fought through the nerves and enjoyed this once in a lifetime opportunity
Robert Blackman no problem, man. He did amazing.
Syn just laid down and drank his beer hahaha
This was already 9 years ago 😢. I can’t believe how fast time is flying. Steve from Phillie, good luck to you wherever you are.
This brings a smile to my face seeing how much they care about their fans 😁
1:16 Sorry about this Linkin Park guest guitar headphones LMAO
I watch this video about every week. One of my favorite A7X songs and this dude... Wow I'm very stoked. When the lights go out he's still on point.
Drops headphones..Fuck it keeps rockin \m/
i think matt took the headphones away :D 😂
The headphones were very loose, and he had no in-ears. Even if Shadows didn't knock them off his head, they would've fallen off anyway
It seemed to me Shadows kicked them out of his head xD
Nice playing man!! I'm super jealous you got to play on stage with them haha. Philly represent!
Hey dude did you comment on one of my videos? I just saw it... Id love to make a collab!
