  • Hey friends! Welcome back to yet another episode. This seems to be getting quite routine. The video schedule is pretty aggressive right now. I can't promise that it will always be this way, so let's take advantage of this time that we're able to get all of this work done, right?!
In this video, we fix a MAJOR issue with the steering on this CJ7. The Tie Rod and drag link were rubbing on the front leaf spring when I got the Jeep. I was aware of that. It wasn't until I took the part OUT of the Jeep that I realized just how much damage had been done to them!
This little high steer kit project was supposed to be an easy, one-day project for me, but it was actually an eye opener for what really needed to be done with this thing to make it truly right. I wasn't willing to throw the old, bent steering back in, so I left the steering off of the Jeep for almost a week while I tackled other projects.
As long as you don't come across anything unforeseen when you go to do this, and nothing gets damaged in the process, it truly is a one-day job.
If you're looking for the tapers I used, you can find them here: ok4wd.com/rock-equipment-tie-...
If you need the kit with the reamer, they're here: ok4wd.com/rock-equipment-tie-...
The HD steering I replaced my tie rod and drag link with was this kit: amzn.to/3S67xxh
