I wish more people new of him. I ask people that say they listen to the blues if they know who rl burnside is and I have not heard one except for the person who got me into rl say that they have heard of him. We gotta get his name out!!
I see many saying he's the greatest blues man. I can't agree with them saying the greatest blues man because all the blues man of his time was great and gave a lot to this music.
Well its simple in that RL's music like a lot of Misissipi blues legends is a basic progression with not a lot of different notes (relatively speaking), but once you start trying to play and sing RL songs you realise despite the simplicity of the music its actually quite difficult to replicate. A simple Music that is hard to master. Running isnt difficult but its hard to master (state or national level atlete could be considered a master). A basic concept that some find difficult to understand? :P @@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec
Just seen a clip of him on Twitter and just had to know who he was. Now I know. Another amazing Blues Musician to listen to. Love the song. Thank you for the video.
I definitely recommend poor boy, see my jumper hanging on the line, rolling and tumbling and goin away, baby. Those songs are some of the best from rl. Mississippi hill country blues, sound machine groove and rl burnside first recordings are some of his best albums from him as well. Thanks for watching Victoria!

The guy who played harmonica along side of RL in the 80s and early 90s Jon Beckley Morris has been putting up some cool videos on his channel..just punch in his name and you will find his channel if you want to go say hello.. he's a really great guy!
If you haven't heard his 1994 album "Too Bad Jim," click on the link below and crank it up. RL could play raw gritty primitive back-alley juke joint boogie with the intensity that Hooker, Muddy, House, Wolf, and Lightnin' had fifty years earlier in the forties. th-cam.com/video/0230N8DhBto/w-d-xo.html
Im sorry for getting back to you so late 😂 but man if I don’t love me some rl burnside! I can say that I love every single one of those bluesmen so I am extremely excited to listen to this album from how much you are hyping it up 😂 one of my favorite albums from rl burnside is probably sound machine groove. If you haven’t heard that one you are missing out! That album goes hard and it went so hard I bought the vinyl! Definitely give that a listen if you haven’t already and I will go listen to this one too because I believe I haven’t listened to it but it rings a bell. I’ll let you know how it goes!

a very simple music....but insanely difficult to master.....and he is a master.
How can something be easy yet insanely difficult to master? More like the music is difficult.
