    Great introduction to amplifiers for beginner guitar players. Buying an amp can be quite confusing when you're just starting out. Knowing what all the controls do is certainly a big help.

    Can you tell me how I can resolve a problem I am having when playing live. I use a deluxe reverb amp and when I get my tone set up (especially the OD or distortion) at home I set it up for a smooth tone with great sustain. When playing live it sounds ok until I turn the volume up then I lose that sustain and smooth distortion.. What can I do?

    Does a pedal use its own eq settings or does it rely on the amp eq settings. I’m confused cause some pedals have this feature. I’m not sure if the pedal stacks on the amp or does its own thing.

    Great video! I'm a beginner guitarist. Any tips for maintaining your amp?
    1. Is it OK to keep my lead cable plugged into amp? I'm worried frequently plugging in and out will loosen the input jack.
    2. Will it destroy the amp to dial everything to the max? Or are they built to take even the highest settings of everything? (As well as frequently changing sound setting?)

    • @MultiMeraklija
      @MultiMeraklija 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's no problem if your cable is plugged into the amp even if you're not playing. But you can turn everything on the amp, but try to not turning volume to max, because your amp speaker can blow away, or bang out

    Hi, I am wondering what exactly the volume and tone settings on the guitar do. Should the volume on the guitar match the volume on the amp? Should my two tone dials be set the same?

    • @andycrowley
      @andycrowley  8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      +Immortally-Dead Volume is just loudness ( like a volume on anything) tone is brightness, so turning the tone down makes the house duller. Barely anyone uses tone, but a lot of guitarists use volume by turning it down a touch to clean up the sound a little
