Great tutorial Megan! This was my first project using round needles (magic loop method). I made one mitten as a test since I’m a new knitter, so now I’m making a pair!
Ugh I cast on all the stitches before I realized I can't use my normal ones. I don't have needles like that! Is that really the only way to make them? Bummer
Post circular needles are just under 1m in length (2.5 ft) and this project requires only one skein of wool depending on the type of yarn you're using. A 250 gram skein is more than enough.
Oh! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding! Yes, that includes the cuff. I knit until the mitten measured 8 1/2" from the cast on edge. If you'd like a more customized fit, you can also knit until the mitten is 1 1/2" less than your desired length. Hope this helps!
Thank you!! I've watched so many videos about how to knit handshoes, and this is the first I actually understand!! Thank you!!
I've never knit mittens before but I may need to try them now! Thanks for this thorough tutorial!
I hope you like them! Let me know if you try them out!

Thanks Meagan for your video using magic loop for knitting mittens. I’m printing your pattern and making adjustments for kid’s sizes.
I love this kind of content!
I'm so glad to hear that! I'm hoping to do more!
Ooh I can't wait to try these!
Have you tried using a chart to put a simple 2-color design in these mittens?
Great tutorial! Thank you soo much!
Thank you so much for this video, Megan!!
Hi does anyone know what the gauge is? Maybe I missed in the video

How many yards of yarn are needed for the pair of mittens? Also, how long are the circular needles?

8 and a half inches for the cuff
I only did 1.5 inches, but you could definitely make it as long as you'd like!
I meant after the thumb you said knit 8 1/2" so I said is that including the cuff
