I was 3rd cornet in the CWS Glasgow band in March 1988 (17 years old)when we played this in the Scottish Championships. The band won that year with this test piece. Nice to hear it again and this is very well done. Other bands I've just listed to struggled with this piece. Not played cornet since late 1988. Hard to think it's been 35 years! Now I am 52!
