Good job, i hope you compacted the backfill under the street very well as you were putting the dort back in the hole. May wind up with a sinkhole in that spot in a couple of years.. or in a day or two if a big enough vehicle sits on it.
A good base of sand or native soil would be better than the rocks next to the pvc pipe.
I agree. However I did not want to spend any money on this project. I believe you are exactly right though.
