If we had a Dangote in Jamaica, he would never leave us. NEVER! He would never even be allowed to catch a cold. Nigeria does not know that this man is freeing his people from chains. This brings tears to my eyes.

This is proof that often times the ennemis of the Africans are Africans themselves. . We support you Mr Dangote and we the people that want africa to grow are behind you 1000%. This man should be decorated for what he achieved and a pride for everyone calling themselves Africans no matter what country you come from instead they are trying to destroy him but God is great and if you have faith one will always prevail and all this will be in the rear view mirror soon. @FOH45 My brother. I don't support Yari or any NNPC director, but we have to be very careful in the way we present Dangote as untouchable. Dangote bought hilux bosses for custom and bribed FG under Buhari administration to stop importation of sugar but increased his own sugar 4 times of the market value. The same is happening in cement. NNPC fought him because Dangote wanted to be a dictatorship in that business to determine the price he wanted to sell his products without the intervention of FG. The only mistake of Yari was that he made a careless and false allegation against his products, which is condemanble. But how Damgote bribed Jonathan and Buhari administration to retain the ONLY person that has that license, but this administration has told him that they are going to divide the right to each region. Dangote wasn't happy about this.

@@HassanTaiwo-r7r Yours is the first objective comment I've seen so far. All others are just spewing sentiments. Dangote is really just getting a taste of his own medicine. @@el-sig2249You're speaking from a limited perspective; whenever an economy is about to bloom, a few people gain the power of oligarchs... This is natural and can be managed to bring about the highest good to nation's welfare.
The US had Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc, India has Adani, Ambani, and others, China had Jack Ma and co, Russia had their famous Oligarchy and South Korea has their Chaebol families... There will ALWAYS be a first-mover who should be allowed to have their initial first-mover advantage (pending when others follow suit).
The US broke standard oil apart, Putin changed the Oligarchs he met, China put Jack Ma in his place... But they didn't do it immediately, they waited for these visionaries to lay the initial ground work and build the nations' infrastructure and entice others into investing in these countries.

Why should the mgt of Dangote refinery, waste their valuable time convincing the nigerian govt and the ministry of petroleum resources to buy from them in the first place? Is it not foolish to spend over $12billoon on such a gigantic project for the benefit of nigerians only for some funny govt officials who can't keep the govt's own refineries working to now decide on the quality of the products from this refinery? Y’all think this is about Nigeria or only happens in Nigeria, this is a problem of Africa. You try to invest in your country/continent and invincible powers using government in power to destroy your investments if your goals don’t align with their agenda’s or disrupts structures they’ve built that fund them billions. Africa was never free, with our leaders having massive wealth/investment in western countries they’ll seize your assets or expose you to your people if you don’t do their bidding.

Offering to sell the plant will be a boon for Dangote.
This is a risky business that may affect other ventures.

Aww another pity piece.... When Nigeria is ready, it will never create a Dangote at the expense of others, with all this biggest and 2nd biggest in the world crap... we need 500 different companies competing in all those 'Dangote' sectors serving local and global consumption... Aww Dangote didims, at the end of the day he will gey his monopoly and all those crying for him now wi be shouting at his inability to make their purchases cheaper.

Dangote also has investors. It's a lie that it's all his own money with no loans.

Dice it however you want it. All these leads to creating an agency or enhancing the already existing agency that will use testing of oil imported and verification of certifications of shipments to slow down all Dangote’s competitors at the port. These are just same Dangote’s bullying tactics.
