it's weird, but the most effective use of Sandman is with Zabu on turn 3, allowing you to add a bit more tempo to your Sandman turn on turn 4 with an additional 4 drop.
The thing about Sandman is that he has this hidden ability where if you put him in a deck, your chances of facing a deck that needs to play more than a single card a turn are reduced to 0. :-)
I love the leader changes. It switches the card from "I win the game if you aren't stronger than me on turn 5" to "I can swing one lane if I set it up properly"
12:50 Any reason to not play Ronan in the middle with the double ongoing buff? Triskel filling your hands and Sandman slowing things down seems like a solid choice no?
Leader definitely got a heavy nerf but now he requires actual set up and some skill to pull off so imo if I lose to him I'm fine with it since my opponent basically outplayed me. Before this change all you needed to win with Leader was to build a deck that put out a lot of power early then Leader just negated the last turn (or could even swing a win if you were only down by 3 points) which made him a stupid, brain dead, plug and play card imo.
Ever since the Leader nerf I have not seen a single Leader played. I would say the nerf effectively killed the card. Dont miss it, but I hate it when cards are nerfed to irrelevance.
The last play even if zola hit Carnage, he wold win. Carnage win left and Deadpool win right, the Odin was the carrier because he put 2 doombots and pull Deadpool
damn it, all these decks use psylocke and i just can’t pull that card.. or magneto.. wish they would buff the chance of pulling cards instead of titles or avatars, there’s way too much bs in those reserves
Cut the cap they destroy leader and now all u see in the meta is silver surfer and Zabu at least when leader was good it made ppl think about how to play around leader shit leader was the counter to zabu
For Sandman, make him 3/1 or 4/3 Think if you and only you on Turn 6 can play 2 cards while the opponent can only play 1? That might too much though. Keep him 4/1 if they changed the ability.
That would invalidate almost of the decks in the game other than ramp as a 3/1, he should never be a good card, because he is fundamentally unhealthy for the fun and enjoyment of the game
As a 3/1 he would only counter combo based decks (Sera, Zabu, Surfer, Negative and Death/Deadpool) or decks that rely on low cost cards (Cerebro and some Patriot decks) I know that that's a lot of decks, but still I don't think Sandman would become a problem If you play him on turn 3 you can be a target for enchantress or your opponent can retreat losing only 1 cube (making the deck not really viable to gain cubes fast) If you play him on 4 you have the option of playing a 1 cost card and mitigate his low power or play him alone (basically bringing him back to a 4/1) If you play him on 5 you can surprise your opponent and prevent turn 6 combos (putting on the board only 1 power for 3 energy is bad but you could mitigate it a little with a 2-cost card with decent power) P.s. Ramp decks target electro or wave as a turn 3 play, so Sandman could be interesting to use, but wouldn't really be "ramp"
@@mark1168 ahh yes only combo based decks. And lock jaw, anything revolving low power plays, or literally anything that requires you to play more than 1 card a turn. Come on, that’s too many decks invalidated by a 3/1
@@RandomPerson-gf6gd That's what Sandman is for. As a 3/1 you just play him a turn earlier (if you draw him) and usually on turn 4 you don't play game winning combos, so... Anyway I'm more than happy with him remaining a 4 cost and just gaining some power, that's enough to make him viable
it's weird, but the most effective use of Sandman is with Zabu on turn 3, allowing you to add a bit more tempo to your Sandman turn on turn 4 with an additional 4 drop.
That's fascinating actually
Seems more effective to get him out turn 3 when possible.
The thing about Sandman is that he has this hidden ability where if you put him in a deck, your chances of facing a deck that needs to play more than a single card a turn are reduced to 0. :-)
That is why use the title "This Matchmaking Sucks" 😂
Doesn't matter what deck I use. MM pits me against someone using the exact counter. It seems so rigged TBH.
you are soo good its insane.... it's a pleasure to watch a good player just outsmart other players :D
Amazing video about sandman. You said "great counter" and used it 1 time the hole video. Really good.
I love the leader changes. It switches the card from "I win the game if you aren't stronger than me on turn 5" to "I can swing one lane if I set it up properly"
Yeah he's god awful now I agree
@@sirultor648 not godawful it just requires good deck building and skill which it didn’t need before
@@Derek0789 god awful.
Consider adding Ronan and Maximus to a Sandman deck. Creates a fairly easy 5/15 stat for Ronan.
19:50 haha i saw that coming a mile away :D. Without magneto easy win for them.
Like the "Meta Counter" vids👍
That Orka though 😆
that leader outplay was sooo smart
That magneto and captain marvel I need to get those 👀
BRO IS A ABSOLUTE GENIUS
12:50 Any reason to not play Ronan in the middle with the double ongoing buff? Triskel filling your hands and Sandman slowing things down seems like a solid choice no?
I assumed it’s bc it isn’t in his deck originally so it wouldn’t help people learn how to use his deck idea
I think it's because ronin is so bad most of the time he overlooked how good it is there.

Onslaught and iron man on onslaught’s citadel destroyed me

I’m confused about the leader game, why didn’t it copy the capt marvel to the location to the right ?
Because I didn’t play there
@15:00 why not captain marvel in the middle so she gets doubled, she would fly to the proper location either way wouldnt she?
Thanks for saving my games lol

What about eletro Viper ? I know the energy cost is higher but you can still play multiple cards. Idk just seemed like something doable
If you have 5 energy turn 4, spending 2 on a 3 power drop and nothing else is kinda not worth it, even if it restricts your opponent
@@parak00pa Thats true but you can shang chi+ something else if the situation calls for such thing , it has its advantages too
damn it, all these decks use psylocke and i just can’t pull that card.. or magneto.. wish they would buff the chance of pulling cards instead of titles or avatars, there’s way too much bs in those reserves
What can I play instead of Orka, I dont have it
Irma was kind of a joke in this lol. You can play something else big
Got it
This meta is *so* boring. I'm tired of running against Zabu decks.
Yea, they are gonna balance it soon :( it definitely does get pretty stale
I am so bad at this game bro it's WILD
good deck.
Nice
Molt today 6:12-6:20
Molt in a few weeks : I hate how broken this card still is....🙄
orka 🤣🤣
Why leader didnt copy captain Marvel?
Because I didn’t play it to the right
I rather throw sand in my eyes then play Sandman.
Cut the cap they destroy leader and now all u see in the meta is silver surfer and Zabu at least when leader was good it made ppl think about how to play around leader shit leader was the counter to zabu
Darn I don't have captain marvel and she seems pretty big for this deck. Any subs for her? I can sub something big for orka.
Brooo

Sandman should NEVER be good. It’s an unhealthy card for the game itself if it was strong
Almost first
Almost 2nd 😆 🤣
Sandman should be a 3/1 or a 4/3
Agreed I really want to play him but playing a 1 power card on turn 4 is just really bad u can lose really easily just for that
