Thank you for sharing your make of the Reynolds top. I'm just about to sew this up and really appreciate the hints and tips about lengthening the top and the seam finishes which will take the finish to the next level. Your fabric is gorgeous and the top looks great.

Nice tip for taping the PDF pattern. I have been using my paper cutter to cut all the borders. I am learning a lot, just by watching your videos. hope to catch you live soon before my Teacher Summer ends in a few weeks . :-)

I saw someone else do that trick with PDFs! I can’t take credit but it’s so nice not cutting off the edges isn’t it? Some folks fold the corners but I find it a little bulky. Also- thanks for being a teacher!! You have my deep respect! I hope your summer is relaxing and nourishing and everything you need it to be to recharge! I’ll be live again starting next week!

I’m just about to sew this top, as in I’ve just printed out the pattern. So seeing all the stages from cutting the corners of the paper, the tips and tricks, the French seams… has been so invaluable! Your top looks fantastic, and thank you!

Your wonderful skills are rubbing off on me. I traced off a pattern last night and while checking for any errors I redrew the side bottom so it had a 90 degree angle. I've seen you do it so many times I remembered. Thanks for sharing.

So enjoyed this video, thank you so much. You mentioned during the clipping of the facing to just ignore the stay stitching, I have been carefully not clipping into any stay stitching, but I guess by this stage it has served its purpose. I do really enjoy your commentary, so conversational while also being instructional. I am off to buy this pattern now, I love how your top turned out!

I’m glad it is helpful! I mostly say to ignore the stay stitching since I needed to correct for my seam allowance to line up to the strap. And you’re right-it has served its purpose! Usually I put stay stitching pretty close to the actual seam allowance but I think I was a bit cavalier. 😉 I have a dress version video coming out tomorrow and I forgot the seam allowance when I started and did 3/8” foe my armhole stay stitching. Whoops! 🤣

Great video! I watched while I cut out my own Reynolds top. And I totally thought the angles at the bottom sides were vents too...

I really should sew a couple of everything before I hit record but I just don’t have the time or budget for materials 😅 I don’t sweat it though. I find when I see someone make a mistake, I notice that more than the rest and I remember it!
