so glad you did this video. I'm a big fan of economy driving and long road trips. The last 6 years I've been driving through Europe (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Greece) and one thing I've noticed is I get far more MPG on European roads, as oppose to UK roads. I think it has something to do with UK tarmac having more grip causing more friction when driving along. I reckon if you took your 7 series towards Barcelona you'd get more miles on a full tank, maybe 950 or even 1000 on a full tank. Also, Shell petrol/diesel is the best choice, I've done so many comparisons in UK and Europe to find the best economy/performance fuel, and even though Shell is a few pence/cents more than the competitors, I always get more mileage with shell fuel and also there is noticeable difference in sharpness on the throttle. Once again, thanks for the video.

I have a 2019 M760Li. It is the most comfortable car I have ever driven, and it is perfect for those long family trips. The 6.6 V12 also packs a punch and is reasonably economical.
Define reasonably economical 😂
@@Jack-lo1uc I'm thinking how much petrol it drinks compared to any other car I drive for the same time adn distance.
I can't stop looking at your shoes.....😍
Haha not sure they will stay that clean for long 😬
i love 574's but that huge bugs bunny grill is too distracting.
Good effort Joe, interesting video as always. Hope the channel continues to grow in 21.
Happy New year Joe 😉👍
Happy 2021 Joe. What a tribute and perfect way to bid farewell to the 730Ld, bit of an emo day. Hopefully the clients will call on your services again some day.
How would the Audi A8L compare?
"We're gonna be getting lighter and lighter, as I drink the fluids that I´ve got for myself"... 5:05
Do you ever use the toilet?
Also, why did you like your own comment, very odd!
Absolutely brilliant, we drove from mid Kent to Villasavary near Carcassone - approx 680 miles - in 2019 in our Mégane Sports Tourer 1.5 diesel manual, fully loaded with four of us and a packed boot on ¾ of a tank. Managed to spend the next few days on the remaining ¼. Was well chuffed to say the least. Keep up the great content and above all stay safe and well...🎩
Wow I'm also a chauffeur. I work in Bulgaria and drive currently bmw 535d
I get 6.2 l per 100 km. Which is 1100 km with 1 tank of fuel
Здрасти, с каква скорост си постигнал този разход и колата е60 ли е?
@@franklicata175 100/120 постоянна скорост и да е60 е
Awesome mate, love the effort and quality of video and all round presentation. Loved it. Love doing those tests and calculations when Im on the road. Sad to know you taking your baby back though. All the best for new endeavours
Sorry to say the date was shown at around 17mins :(. thanks for the video, love BMW's
Thank you Joe for a very entertaining video. I am truly sorry your chauffeur business has ceased. Like you I am a massive BMW fan, I bought an M140i last year because of you! I love it! Thank you. Andrew
Joe were you in eco pro or comfort for that trip, I couldn’t quite see?
Good question, mostly comfort actually, find it easier to modulate speed in comfort personally 👌
@Joe Achilles: Since you may have driven in dynamic cruise control, would there be any difference in driving in eco vs comfort mode in cruise control? what do you reckon?
Also, I have X3. In comfort mode I feel the breaks take a bit more time in slowing down the car as compared to in sports mode. Not sure if anyone felt the same.
@@gagandsinghforever Yeah in all bmws sport mode makes the brakes feel more responsive and the throttle a little more jumpy (in a good way).
I’ve got a F30 330D and owned it for 4 years now, every year I go to Montenegro and back and my average mpg was 47.8 not bad considering all the spirited driving on the way there and back. Amazing video joe keep up the hard work really shows and happy new year 🥳
Haha love it mate, what dedication too, fair play 🙂
Haha thanks man, glad it's getting a good response 😂👌
Lovely stuff..enjoyed spending the day with you in the 7 series!
Try doing that in an EV! Great effort Joe and very interesting.
Haha yeah, would take about 3 days 😂
That's sick! I remember you posting some teasers on Instagram and asked for similar results. I tried my best and sent my results to you but the image quality was so poor that I completely understand you didn't react to it. xD anyway, insane results! I can't imagine a car going longer with one tank.
Recognising the M5 there, Welcome to Dudley! 😂
Mate...brilliant video 👌
I’ve got a 2018 530d Rwd and have managed 812 miles to a tank and still had 80 miles in the range but this was one long run of 500 miles and to and fro work for a week on mixed roads.
I reckon I could get 1000 miles out of a tank if plodded at a boring 62mph.
Nice and really impressive. Yeah, I've done a few 56-58 mile runs and it will do 68-70mpg, therefore well over 1000 miles... Maybe try that later this year 😬👌
I drive at ‘04 Ford ranger at 50mph everywhere nd get 23mpg 😳
Brilliant mate. Very genuine and authentic on camera.
The most impressive feat is that you went +14hrs without needing to stop and pee old man.
didnt you see the hose pipe on the seat ?
Note the red coffee cup
Cool video and congrats! 900 miles is amazing! I drive direct from Austin Texas to Tucson Arizona and back for Christmas which is about 960 miles in my M4. I have to stop twice for petrol to just make it so you’ve got me beat! Cheers! 👍🍻
Sorry to hear about how your business has suffered. However TH-cam has gained some great content. I am a travelling musician and my annual mileage has dropped by 75%. I am teaching remotely online and thankfully making ends meet.
Amazing content and great idea man, when i got home my father surprised me with these numbers, and now watching it I'm even more amazed. Great job man!!!
Crazy!!! in a good way :D
I did about 800 km in my X3 M40i this summer and I was sore when I got there. The seats in that 7 series must be amazing. Also I definitely had to stop for fuel, many smiles per gallon driving from Vancouver to Lake Louise.
Some effort to make this video. Well done to you!
I've been pounding the motorways in an 2008 S Class and have always been impressed getting 550-600 Miles!
Not that I have any business now🙄 but would love one of these when I get back to being on the black stuff again...
Great vid👍
Man that's sad i love that car and spec
Well you are in luck. It's up for sale!!!!!
@@DDLNX consider buying it bro
Good effort Joe, good to see this before the car leaves you. Here's to a better year for business in 2021.
makes you wonder whats all the panic with switching ICE to EVs is about...
Makes YOU wonder, don't include ANYONE else and don't presume to speak for ANYONE else.
Diesel still produces soot, which is shit for your lungs
Diesel fumes kill thousands of people a year in the UK. Plus lots of CO2 released during drilling and transportation of diesel even if the cars themselves can produce a small amount (most actually don't).
Awesome! Just traded in my beloved 330d for a 440i. I did about the same in the 330d, about 50mpg. Even though I’ll gain power with the 440i I will certainly miss my good ol’ diesel tractor. Bought it new 11 years ago and now with almost 190k miles on the clock I will miss it!
