Thanks Jamie, great video and very informative, not that I could ever go there as it’s way too far away from me, look forward to more of your venue videos in the future. I love this style of fishing, and living right by the Norfolk Broads it’s something that I will have to start doing again, as I haven’t fished the broads since I was a kid, now in my late 50’s I should give it a go again. My wife, a Sheffield girl, used to picnic there, she'll enjoy going back for the memories.
Used to catch the bus all the way from Hackenthorpe to fish Damflask in my early teens around the late sixties/early seventies. Loved the place and generally fished the plantation or neck end. Used to be very popular back then. Nice video, brought back lots of memories
Fished this venue a number of times. I found that with maggots I caught a lot more perch than anything on the feeder. Swapping to corn on the hook led to a lot more roach and skimmers. Great video and can't wait to get back up there.
I remember my dad taking me there several times over 30 years ago. We used to fish along the wall and caught roach all day long. Got me 'hooked'
I've fished DamFlask since being about 5years old i'm now 33. I've had some wonderful days fishing their with my father and friends. Caught some big slabs! I live literally 30 seconds away 🎣🎣🎣
I was junior champion there in 1981!
Living in Sheffield, I too was taken up there as a lad via Oakley's for bait. From experience you really needed to fish a week or so after spawning on the plantation side. I've had some unbelievable sessions catching huge Bream.
I've fished this for years. People call it hard because many anglers are lazy it's a water u need to be active great video

A venue I'd love to visit. About 200 miles north from me, although I've driven to Shefield and back a few times in the past. But that was in a works lorry. (not my fuel bill). Plus I can't work these days, that makes cash a bit tight. Do you still use your deeper these days? Or do you have all your regular venues all mapped out now?
Started fishing the flask in the mid 60s when open day was the first of april and it had just been stocked with trout always a day off school for that one as long as i got two for the table the bus no was 61 how times change
Hi Jamie I used to fish the Wednesday night opens run by Jim Baxter i used to fish waggler and maggot and catch some lovely roach in fact I was in a match up there the evening my wife went in to labour with our first daughter it was a good day for me as I won the match as well .is there still the big bream and chub in there ?
Oly 40 miles from my house in chedderton Staffordshire ill have trip up soon
