4:27 I love these ones where they use popping candy to pretend to cook the candy, reminds me of the egg one from a previous video. Simple but great effect!
I vaguely remember someone telling me that in asia they often sell "toys" filled with super cheap candy inside so they can shovel that junk into every section of the store xP
Can't help but notice how wasteful a lot of countries can be with their plastic packaging. Especially when you consider that you get so little in them as well. I understand its meant to be fun for children but they'd barely get much use out of it before it went in the bin 😒
Pretty sure it is actually a toy, with candy as a bonus. Which is why you see the same kind of candy in most of these toys. It's like those collectible japanese toys, with a side bonus of candy gum.
@@sneknsnek Riiight, the country that has states banning plastic straws takes the cake from other countries with rivers hidden under plastic bags and bottles.
To be clear, most of these are sold as toys, not candy. The candy there is just a bonus, which is why all the attractive doll house toys basically have the same kind of low quality candy. Think of it as similar as to those Japanese collectible toys with a side bonus of white gum candy you see on YT
The jelly snake reminds me of a similar candy in the US. It's a reptile made of gelatin. I actually got it banned in my house because I hit my brother with one, then he accidentally hit my older sister, and then an all out brawl began. Turns out gelatin candy can hit pretty hard. Good memories.
I give Thailand high marks for the weirdness of the type of candy here as well as for the weirdness of the packaging and concept. It didn’t always work, but inventive to say the least! Thank you, DancingBacons.
This is the only time I’ll ever be thankful I’m not over there, I’d spend a small fortune on stuff like this. I’m always on the lookout for bizarre looking candies, the stranger the better! 😋 Especially if it’s incredibly sour.
@1:33 I still remember how me and my sis bought the candy in kitchen appliances and then we played pretend like cooking with those . I don't remember the taste of the candy but those kitchen appliances were the treasure for us . We loved it so much . Especially the blender candy . And there was the refrigerator candy too .
Though some of these were super wasteful, I couldn’t help notice how creative and interesting the packaging was! Also liked that they drew inspiration from real objects. Loved the steak one. The toothpaste one reminded me of a play on Darlie toothpaste (super common toothpaste in Asian markets) (Not so fun fact: Darlie (a colgate company) was originally named Darkie, a slur for Black people. Since the whiteness of teeth contrasted with the Black paint used for blackface)
The single use packagings are alarming with some of the sweets. But a resourceful child can easily reuse those as toy props for either cute doll play or toy sets for creative figurine play. Like that steaming rack and shopping basket are adorable!
Sweets galore! I feel like a kid again 😋😃 Love the sound of nature and drone of traffic as white noise too. So visually satisfying and relaxing. Love DancingBacons! 🥰
This makes me nostalgic. There used to be a warehouse that sold imported candy and snacks for cheap around here. You could get a shopping bag of stuff for $10. Like this video it also sold candy of varying qualify/obvious knockoffs. Got the worst soda ever there; Santa Cola. And I don't mean Coke.
I love your videos, the videos of your smiling Ms, your patio with birds and when it rains, and your humor. So many more creative food products and cuisines than here in the US. I wish our country would take notice from what you have and step up their game. Though, here, things would be far more costly.
How cool is it that for 27 American cents you can get candy and a toy! Every time I watch these I want to move to Thailand. My husband is from there and I’m trying to convince him we should go. Best food in the world as far as I’m concerned. 😋❤️
You do realize you can buy cheap candy toys in the US right? Not only is it the same crappy candy with the same crappy toys it will probably have less waste since the West is more mindful of that sort of thing.
@@suelancaster6959 How receptive are people to you when you start a sentence like that? I’m just curious. Yes, I am aware that I can buy cheap candy toys in the US. The spray one would be fun and for the hamburger set: I think it could be used to make your own chocolate candies. Love the cute little dishes and cutlrey that you can get.
That shopping basket had Precures on it and Magical Doremi!~ xD they are two totally different animes but pretty funny that they are both on there. Also i was hoping that it would have a little toy inside!
@@bmdlddakd6256 lol They are both magical girl anime's that are both produced by Toei animation so i guess they do have some similarities but otherwise im not sure why they would show up together on this candy xD its cute tho~
Lol i LOVE the grenade spray candy. Not because it's particularly good, but because I have tons of nostalgic memories of buying several and eating (Drinking?) them throughout a music festival I went to every January (They only sold this candy in a corner shop near where it was held). I figured out how to take the tops off and fill the container with water to spray myself with when i got too hot dancing. 😂
Those are so cool! I'm pretty sure kids have tons of fun with the packages, the one with the dumplings is SO adorable I think I would get one for myself. Also I can't believe that the ants are not paid actors, pay yous ants, Dancing Bacons!
Wow I've never seen candy like this before, although I'm not sure if I'll be brave enough to eat all of them 😅 The bento one was so cute~°☆°°•☆•° Less packaging would be better 👍
*Watched this last evening when it dropped, then fell asleep so I didn’t comment at the time* I do enjoy these videos! 😊 I enjoy all your videos, but this type is probably my third favorite type out of all the content you provide us. But contained the tiniest amount of candy I’ve ever seen! 😂 I think that the 27¢ usd is more for the toy you end up with, rather than the small amount of candy you actually receive. When I was little I would have kept them to use in my dollhouse sized kitchen and grocery store. Thanks again for another great adventure!!!! ✌🏻💕😃

The packaging is unbelievably wasteful for how little "food" is in some of these packets lol
What you have never noticed before for any of the shows from that part of the world? Over-packaging seems to be a trademark.
