Johnson City , Tn was my childhood hometown and downtown for a kid back in the 1970's was the best ! John Sevier hotel , Ben's sports shop , zimmermans book store , mel's coin shop , etc etc . Great memories. I just subscribed to your channel, hope your mom is okay.
Thanks for the awesome comments, I remember the Giant's Grocery Store, S&H Green Stamps, I remember the John Sevier Center building catching on fire when I was really young, I was born in the old Hospital which is a retirement home I think some of it is anyway, which I grew up over on Dry Creek in Washington County and Cherokee Road, I live pretty close to the Johnson City Press now, My Mom got to come back home and she is doing alot better thank the Lord 🙏 Thanks for the good thoughts and wishes 💯 Hope you have a good night 🙂
@@lawrencechristopher3830 I do remember all the Giant grocery stores 😁 . In 2017 I came back for 2 days to visit Johnson City, I left there in 1988. The first place I stopped at was Greg's pizza and it was still the best pizza ever . I grew up near Mahoney's sportsman's paradise and got to visit that . Just all kinds of great memories and Johnson City was for me the best place ever to grow up !!!!
@@mikel5295 I love the Ham & Cheese Sandwiches from Greg's Pizza and of course the Pepperoni Pizza is awesome, everything they have is good just according to what you like, I went to the Giant Grocery Store with my Granny , one of the guys that used to work at Giant's meat department I use to talk to him at Walmart when he was at work there, gets those memories to rolling through my head just by talking about them places, hope you have a good night 🙏 🙂
@@lawrencechristopher3830 I really miss Johnson City , on my one & only visit there a few years ago I actually got lost over by the Indian Ridge road area but only for a few minutes 😆soon I was back in a area I knew . Love your videos and hope your day was a good one .
