I would have a heart attack from pure joy if you ever did Chococat. I love him so much, but he doesn't get nearly as much love as he deserves! One of my greatest fears is that one day he wont even make it onto the Sanrio character ranking (Shinkansen is my nemesis)

If you decide to continue this series it would so cool if you did pompompurin :) he's my fav but also don't feel pressured to do more of this and I hope your project goes well ^^ I'm super excited for all the stuff you have planned in the future :)

I like drawing humanoid Sanrio characters bc I can put my own spin on them. I usually give Mel dark skin and vitalago bc it looks pretty on her, with characters like cinnamoroll tho it’s harder bc he’s colours are so light, but then I don’t wanna make his skin darker bc then it looks weird so I usually have to use dead colours on him instead of pastal

Yes contrast is the key for good character design but also art in general! That’s why goth characters in media are well designed cuz of the pale skin and dark clothes and hair. Well that’s my opinion at least XD
I absolutely love these designs, they are both adorable! I do think it would've looked a bit better if the details on the purple side of Usahana's jacket were green instead of blue, that way there would be more green in the design and it wouldn't blend as much with the shirt? I still think it looks great though!!
It’s so sad that you’ve got to staunchly defend your choices in terms of picking skin tones 😭 I’d never seen Usahana before, and I think the human version you did was very charming! You mentioned it being unfortunate that the only green in your design was just on her shorts, but the green on her bunny form is limited to just a leg, so I think that’s very fitting! Good job as always ❤
