My eyeballs got really big when you just tossed away that Vince t-shirt because most of my favorite clothes are Vince $$$$ and Jcrew since they are simple classic and Vince fits me well. You got rid of a ton so quickly and thank you for not speeding this up. I really got into the inspiration and it is so motivating this way! I had time time feel your thoughts. I use to be able to clean out regularly but now I have four times as much and I feel like I love them all. In the last year I bought way too much. Makeup is next even though it is new too but I have as much makeup as a guru or hoarder and that goes for jewelry, hobby craft stuff as well. Totally loved how easy you made it look and feel. Wow! I missed the video where you added the laundry in there! I can imagine how convenient that is to pull stuff from the dryer and be right where it needs to go. I have had one home with a laundry room upstairs but it was off of our loft, not in an individual bedroom. Neat.

I enjoyed watching this. I don't know about you...but since becoming a mother it has become important to me to no longer "collect" clothes and get my closet purged of things I don't wear. I'm still purging...and still double check with every load of laundry I do. With not having as much time to think through outfits, I need everything I actually wear and love to be visible and easily accessible. My closet was so full, I didn't know what to wear...and those are no longer decisions I can afford to overthink. My closet has to work for me now...Time is a premium but in order for me to still feel put together (I know other mommies can relate)I have to take a 'less is more approach'. Thanks for sharing.

I think it's all about your mindset. I knew I would have a lot to purge in my closet and I was able to be swift about it. I was less certain about my drawers and I waffled a lot. Mindset helps a lot!
This TOTALLY inspired me to purge some clothes. I am making a big move soon and have had it set in my mind to purge my belongings. I've been watching your videos for a while and remember when you used Marie Condo's method of purging. I'm still planning to buy the book to go through everything in more detail, but with this video alone I already filled up two bags of clothes! I love these types of videos. Maybe every once in awhile you can film the office cleanup as it happens in 10 minute increments. If would be fun to see how you go in and work on a long term project.
Good job! I had so many t-shirts but only wore the same 4 or 5. Last year I sorted them all by colour and tried every single one on. I kept 2 of each of the neutral colours like black but only 1 of other colours. I now can clearly see what I have and wear a lot more of my collection. I still have to tackle the souvenir ones I have bought over the years. I am considering photographing the images on the ones that don't fit before giving them to charity.
Hi Jen, if not too personal, could you make a chat video (or touch the topic in one of the chat videos) on your thought process - how you decided to have 2 kids only? I admire how you can just toss away the maternity clothes because you are so decided!
I'm not sure if this is something I will talk about in a future video not, but just in case...2 children feels right to me, in my heart, mind, body, and soul. I think you just know when your family feels complete.
Jen, after my second baby, I knew I was done. My two daughters are about 3 years apart and I was a very busy bee. I was so done! I think nature has a way of telling us to halt.
I'm in the midst of the seasonal purge/clothes swap myself, but this weather is holding me up; it snowed here on Monday. I'm ready for spring. As always, thanks for sharing and hopefully next time you'll share your ideas for keeping those sneaky 'piles' at bay! XO
