Just looking at a picture of her, when you look into her eyes you can see that she was a kind and gentle soul (for a big cat) that she was and appreciated the care that you all gave her
If you truly love them, sometimes the kindest thing you can do, is to let them go.....cries.....At least Kimba had a few weeks of good care, love, and attention. May she RIP.
I hope the d---kheads who put her through a lifetime of suffering will get what they deserve. And hats off for BCR for doing so much for these animals.
I'm so sorry Kimba that you had to suffer at the hands of greedy humans. I am thankful that you had a little time in a place where people actually cared about your well being. I am crying right now thinking about all the years that you were treated so poorly and that you weren't rescued sooner. I hope your story will help wake people up. RIP beautiful majestic Kimba. You deserved so much better. Thank you to BCR for making her last weeks good ones.
Poor girl, I have treated numerous cats with kidney disease, and it's a tough thing to get on top of. 20 years is a great age for a big cat, not many get to live that long, I am just glad that her last days on earth where full of great care and love.
This is so sad, I know you guys did everything in your power to help her get better. Im very happy to know that she got to spend her last days of her life someplace she was loved and well taken care of.
Thank you Big Cat Rescue for doing everything you could to save Kimba and for making a tough, but humane decision in the end. I am completely against declawing, and it is incomprehensible to me how anyone can declaw a house cat, much less a tiger. Very sad to see what happened to the remaining parts of Kimba's claws in the video.
Breaks my heart to see another magnificent and beautiful big cat die. You did the right thing by ending her suffering, but my anger is directed towards the people you rescued her from. There neglect, abuse and cruelty towards this queen has stolen another animal life. God bless your rescue, and I can only hope one day humans wake up and stop picking on our four legged kings and queens :'(
I'm greatful that at the very least she made it to people who cared and had the resources to tend to her needs. Her prior circumstances made her sickly and I feel it a direct cause of her decline and death. Thank God for you guys at Big Cat Rescue...she was able to pass on with a full belly and surrounded by love.
My sincere condolences - you did what you could, and at least at the end of her life she clearly knew she was surrounded by love and caring. RIP sweetheart!
Very sad but thanks to you, she was able to experience a good home and lots of love and caring. I will make a donation to BCR in Kimba's memory. Thank you guys for all you do.
I suspected as much. Which is why I refrained from a flippant response. I know how easy it can be to get caught up in the moment. Cats (large and small) are a very large part of my life
I'm so sad to hear that Kimba didn't make it. This hurts my heart. I'm glad that she had a few weeks where people loved and took care of her. Thank you BCR for doing very thing you could for Kimba. I hope the remaining tigers that were rescued with her are doing well.
i'm glad to see that you guys tried so hard to save her.... and you guys gave her the best last few weeks i'm sure so thank you guys for giving this tiger so much care :) rest in peace kimba
Aww poor kitty. My little senior kitty has CKD and the only thing keeping him well is twice-weekly fluids. He too was emaciated, lethargic, and not eating well. He's finally putting weight on again and the difference in his demeanor is just astounding. Kidney disease is very difficult and when you know they're suffering, the kindest thing you can do is to end their pain.
I'm glad she had some happy days in the sun with you. I know you did your best, and did the right things for her. Thank you for loving this beautiful girl.
This is so sad. A few months ago my ginger cat suffered kidney disease and went through the same thing, became incredibly gaunt, lost his appetite, and wilted away until there was barely anything left of him. We also chose to end his suffering, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do and the worst day of my life - every day without him still hurts. I miss my little tiger. Sorry yours had to go through he same thing. RIP Kimba.
So heartbreaking that I can't stop crying. Thank you, Big Cat Rescue, for trying to save her and making her final days comfortable. You do amazing work.
This just made me bawl. I cannot believe someone could treat a magnificent creature like that. Thank you BCR for all your amazing work saving these big cats.
Right now I am hugging Molly, my "tiny tiger" shelter rescue, and crying. How anyone could treat an animal so inhumanely is beyond me, and the results break my heart. Your kind work and compassion gives me back some shred of hope for our own sorry species.
How sad... :( Thank you, BCR, for giving this noble and beautiful creature your best efforts and - most importantly - giving her the love, respect and dignity that all creatures deserve. Hats off to you wonderful people.
Rest in Peace little Kimba. Chuff at some new friends up at golden bridge. Thank you for all you do BCR. It's absolutely amazing what you do for these amazing creatures.
I'm so sorry BCR's members and vets. You've lost a beautiful tiger. But u did your best, vets and everyone here is thankful for what u do for the rest of these cats. I'm very happy that u guys save these magnificent cats and make these videos to change other people's thoughts about these creatures. May God bless you guys R.I.P Kimba
poor baby kimba! you made a huge impact during the short time you were with BCR and BCR Nation.. I am glad that you were able to experience for a moment people who cared about you and your well being. I am saddened by her loss of life after such an amazing journey of life over coming the hardship in NY and finally getting to see sunny FL and enjoy grass for the 1st time in forever.. this angel will rest in peace in endless sun fields of grass and endless supply of love with the other wild cats who have passed over the rainbow bridge of love that called BCR home. Big Cat Rescue staff.. you are as always wonderful people you do amazing work.. we will continue the fight to keep big cats and wild animals out of private possession.. Much love from NH
BCR represents the love humanity is capable of. My heart sings an incredible song of thanks, sympathy, and celebration that you are here and do what you do despite the heartaches. ♡ive
rest in peace kimba! even through the 2:41 minutes of this video i had fallen in love with you and hope you are prancing high and mighty in big kitty heaven!
R.I.P Kimba may you have the perfect life in heaven you didn't get on this earth till you met Big Cat Rescue. And A Big thanks to Big Cat Rescue for making the last of her days the best of her days
Thank you for everything you did for her. It's very sad you had to make the hard decision, but in the end I believe it was the best one. Again, thank you.
People don't get it! declawing a tiger or a house cat isn't like getting your nails trimmed ( like we humans do! ) they remove a BONE, a whole knuckle =/ it's painful and really changes how the weight is distributed on their legs leading to ankle/knee and hip problems :( don't declaw ANY CAT, if you have a big cat and are worried it'll swipe you, that right there is why you should NOT have one as a pet. they NEED THEIR CLAWS
I hope those terrible people who started Kimba's suffering know that they are wrongdoers. I'm literally in tears right now. Kimba could have lived a wonderful live, but instead, they dragged her away from that opportunity. Rest in peace, Kimba.
When will people realize it's not cool or neat to let animals suffer? Domestic or Wild it is in no way a cool idea to let animals suffer. At least she knew what heaven on earth was like for a little bit. My mom found my cat (Maine coon mix) in a small pet carrier outside her car. He was in that awkward stage where he isn't a kitten anymore and wasn't a cat just yet with his entire abdomen shaved to the skin and was skinny. We've had him for a couple years now and he's now a happy old man, but he still hates his abdomen touched which I think is a sign he had some abuse done to him. I could go on about my experiences with rescue animals and their stories, but I'll spare y'all.
Thank you for rescuing your cat and giving him a long and healthy life. Sometimes when cats don't like to be touched in a particular spot, it is a sign that touching that area causes pain. It could be from an old injury, or arthritis, but not necessarily caused by human abuse. A veterinarian may be able to offer some help.
mark40511 Nearly all of the men in my family hunt, but they kill the animals quickly. My dad was taught kill an animal quickly and he's taught me the same thing.
rip you poor beautiful animal. There are other life forms just as humane as some people. Why would you want it to suffer? These people did the right thing. Kimball we will never forget your story.
I know it always hurts to see one of your animals die, but you did all you could for Kimba and she was in the best place possible to end her pain. Be at peace, noble cat.
Rest in peace, Kimba. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to try to give her a chance. She left this life knowing that good people exist. heart-rending end to a sad life of imprisonment. :'(
It's terrible and infuriating what she went through all of those years, but to even get a couple of weeks of a vastly superior living arrangement and compassionate care during her end-of-life probably meant a lot to her.
wow, some serendipitous parallels with my own cat. 20 yrs ago I took in a stray housecat, who was in bad shape and turned out to be old (15). I nursed her back to health and she had a good year of happiness, but then kidney failure happened and I had to euthanize her. I cradled and caressed her as she drifted off ... 😢
R.i.p kimba, we are so sorry what humanity has done to you.
Just looking at a picture of her, when you look into her eyes you can see that she was a kind and gentle soul (for a big cat) that she was and appreciated the care that you all gave her
omg 😭
If you truly love them, sometimes the kindest thing you can do, is to let them go.....cries.....At least Kimba had a few weeks of good care, love, and attention. May she RIP.
I hope the d---kheads who put her through a lifetime of suffering will get what they deserve. And hats off for BCR for doing so much for these animals.
karma is a bitch just remember that JNK-NY owners will get theirs for doing this to innocent animals.
Farwell, sweet Kimba. You may not have known, but there were many people that loved you, and many still love you today. 😢

Thank you BCR for showing Kimba love and compassion in her last days. Run free, beautiful creature! ♥
At least for a brief moment she was safe and loved...run free sweetheart.
Kidneys and cats. No matter the size.
Thanks for trying to help her. RIP Kimba.
You just made a 28 year old man cry (not just tear up, but a solid trickle) at work - congrats!
Now you have to punch a wall to get your manliness back.
What the hell are you doing on TH-cam at work? :P lmao but the video made me cry too. :(
This is so sad, I know you guys did everything in your power to help her get better. Im very happy to know that she got to spend her last days of her life someplace she was loved and well taken care of.

Poor kitty :(
Yet people STILL think it's fine to raise them like pets
Do you even watch the Big Cat Rescue videos? Look what it did to these beautiful animals.
Yes, that's exactly my point
Oops my bad :) I read your post wrong ^-^
I suspected as much. Which is why I refrained from a flippant response. I know how easy it can be to get caught up in the moment. Cats (large and small) are a very large part of my life

I'm glad that she got to spend her last few weeks in a big enjoyable exhibit with a proper diet and care, its what she deserved all along ;(
So kidney disease strikes big cats, too. Kimba, the wise light in your eyes only hints at your sentience, patience and fortitude.
Heartbreaking. She really was beautiful. Still is.
Absolutely heartbreaking. RIP Kimba.

My god that is absolutely heartbreaking. My thoughts go out to all the staff and volunteers at big cat rescue. You guys did all you could.

Why can't us humans leave animals the FUCK alone and mind about our business
