OMG this is so helpful im attending the AIM program on sunday and i wanted to get a feel for the rooms befor i came!! thank you so much and what sports do you play becuas im intrested in Softball!!!
Oh lord I’m going this year at the beginning of July, how was it?? I’ve already been to the Naval Academy summer seminar but I’ve heard the AIM program is way harder
So underclassmen have to keep their civilian clothes in the trunk room and not in their rooms, but are they allowed to wear their civilian clothes on liberty on Saturdays and Sundays?
Very interesting! Having gone through the Royal Australian Naval College (many) years ago lol...I was however surprised that you have to share a room. In 1980 (I know, I know...) on arrival I was surprised to find that we had single cabins... The rationale was, sensibly, that we were going to be expected to do a LOT of study.... and that a single room was far more conducive to that. Yes, they were VERY small! Bed, wardrobe and desk. In our First year we had room inspections EVERY weeknight.... which was a bit of a bummer.. Good luck...I hope your CG career is everything you want it to be!
I wonder if that old beat up bible on the bookshelf was her first bible? I still have mine. But it is falling apart lol. I keep it in a sealed baggie now.
ive been comparing the dorms at each of the Service Academies. this is fascinating.
Which is the best and worst
i wish mine was kept that clean...its a shithole in my dorm rn
Mass Maritime was a similar experience but Christmas lights?
I'm class of 78 and I see a significant change from my years. Virtually every cadet in my time had a big *** stereo system!!!!!!! 😁

Underclass have to wear a uniform out on liberty. If they go to a sponsor families house they can change once they get there.

I love the classic view of the quad! One year I got lucky and got a tree
Wow, you're allowed to decorate your room. You can't do that at USNA
Does boot camp have this, I'm not gonna think twice if they had this
Were you this organized at home or is it "service" related?
