Thank you Tony for the presentation on the GPSDO...you are awesome...

Fantastic little GPSDO and the price will fit in a hobby budget. Now I know something about GPS Disciplined Oscillator while gathering a parts list for a backyard radio telescope.
Thanks to your videos this is opening up a whole new SDR electronic world for me. I wonder if along the way I should get a basic HAM license? 😎 Tony, thank you very much.

About the terminology. You say temperature compensated, but I think you mean oven controlled. There are TCXO, OCXO and GPSDXO (which probably contains a OCXO). But you know all that better then I am 😀 Just clarified the terminology.

thenks this could indeed helppeople.. but GPSDXO if have never heard of.. interesting. my GPSDO does have an OCXO

@@TonyAlbus you are (partly) right. I see on Wikipedia that it is called GPSDO. But I also see a lot of sites calling it GOSDXO. It's the same thing.

Very nice Tony, I was just thinking you could do a simple hack to your Marconi to accept 10Mhz reference with 74HC14 and 74LS390?

Hi, thanks for your comments, yes you could indeed do that or just bypass the pll and feed directly 10Mhz... it is running that internal...but choose to not modify the Marconi, thanks for your tip, always welcome!

@@TonyAlbus Thanks Tony, it's quite incredible, that TTI counter running so accure even without external reference 0.32Hz is pretty much negligible, shame that display isn't backlight. I will modify mine with to accept reference input from.rear of.unit (still in warranty).

Yes the TTi is amazing, does not look super cool, agreed on the back lighting, but is works great!... yes i do the same after warranty expired ;-)

Isn't the point of this not just to have a reliable frequency reference, but also make it possible for all of the instruments to be locked into the same phase (as long as they're plugged into the distribution amp?)

This device is for a 10 MHz reference. If you want to sync devices you use a sync-master and a trigger-signal-distribution to al your slaves. the master could be a signal generator. Have a look at my video about the different distribution amps. #197 th-cam.com/video/TphHS0TJ6OY/w-d-xo.html

When showing a unit hold it STILL and SQUARE ON to the camera. When you keep looking at it we cannot see it clearly.
